Návrh vyhledávacího systému pro moderní potřeby / Design of search engine for modern needs

Maršálek, Tomáš January 2016 (has links)
In this work I argue that field of text search has focused mostly on long text documents, but there is a growing need for efficient short text search, which has different user expectations. Due to this reduced data set size requirements different algorithmic techniques become more computationally affordable. The focus of this work is on approximate and prefix search and purely text based ranking methods, which are needed due to lower precision of text statistics on short text. A basic prototype search engine has been created using the researched techniques. Its capabilities were demonstrated on example search scenarios and the implementation was compared to two other open source systems representing currently recommended approaches for short text search problem. The results show feasibility of the implemented prototype regarding both user expectations and performance. Several options of future direction of the system are proposed.

Determinação de índice biometeorológicos da videira 'Niagara Rosada' (Vitis labrusca L.) podada em diferentes épocas e fases do ciclo vegetativo / Biometeorological indexes determination for grape 'Niagara Rosada' (Vitis labrusca L.) pruned at different seasons and physiological phases

Scarpare, Fábio Vale 17 January 2008 (has links)
The goal of this work was to determine four biometeorological indexes: degreedays (DD), Primault's biometeorological index (BI), Huglin's heliothermal index (HI) and Geslin's heliothermal index (GHI) for grape 'Niagara Rosada' (Vitis labrusca L.) pruned at different seasons and physiological phases. The dry pruning was done at the end of winter (carbohydrate mobilization phase) and green pruning (carbohydrate stock phase) was done during summer. The experiment was carried out in a randomized block design consisting of 9 treatments, pruning dates 20th July, 04th August, 19th August, 03rd September, 18th September, 01st February, 15th February, 02nd March and 16th March during two years (2005/2006 and 2006/2007). Twelve plants were used as experimental plot, being two border plants. The grapevine was 13 years old grown under trellis system with a 2.0 x 1.0 meter spacing under irrigation. The grape phenology was evaluated considering numbers of days for each one of the following period and sub-periods: pruning - harvest, sprout - harvest, pruning - sprout, sprout - flowering, flowering - early ripening and early ripening - harvest. To analyze those indexes, the Tukey test was used comparing pruning dates and F test for orthogonal contrast comparing plants pruned at different seasons (dry pruning versus green pruning). It was observed that plants pruned at different seasons do not require the same amount of energy to complete pruning - harvest period when using DD and HI. The same tendency was observed when using BI and GHI for those plants to complete its period sprout - harvest. Some sub-periods that did not differ statistically between dry pruning and green pruning: flowering - early ripening for BI and sprout - flowering for HI and GHI. Other sub-periods differ statistically when using F test for orthogonal contrast.

Analýza vývoje progresivity daně z příjmů fyzických osob / Analysis of the progressivity of the personal income tax

Smetanová, Linda January 2011 (has links)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyze the evolution of the tax progressivity of the personal income tax in the Czech Republic in 1993-2010. The first part focuses on the interpretation of personal income tax and definition of terms such as a taxpayer, a tax subject, a creation and a modification of a tax base, rates and options for tax liability adjustments. The second part deals with methods for measuring tax progressivity with key focus on global indicators. In the third part the analysis itself is carried out. I measure the tax progressivity of the personal income tax by selected indicators (the Musgrave-Thin index and the Kakwani index). The Household Budget Statistics published annually by the Czech Statistical Office serves as input data. According to the results of this paper, tax progressivity of the personal income tax in the Czech Republic is low, but with increasing tendency.

Multi-oriented Symplectic Geometry and the Extension of Path Intersection Indices

de Gosson de Varennes, Serge January 2005 (has links)
Symplectic geometry can be traced back to Lagrange and his work on celestial mechanics and has since then been a very active field in mathematics, partly because of the applications it offers but also because of the beauty of the objects it deals with. I this thesis we begin by the simplest fact of symplectic geometry. We give the definition of a symplectic space and of the symplectic group, Sp(n). A symplectic space is the data of an even-dimensional space and of a form which satisfies a number of properties. Having done this we give a definition of the Lagrangian Grassmannian Lag(n) which consists of all n-dimensional subspaces of the symplectic space on which the symplectic form vanishes. We carefully study the topology of these spaces and their universal coverings. It is of great interest to know how the elements of the Lagrangian Grassmannian intersect each other. A lot of efforts have therefore been made to construct intersection indices for elements of Lag(n). They have gone under many names but have had a sole purpose, namely to give us a way to determine how these elements intersect. We show how these elements are constructed and extend the definition to paths of elements of Lag(n) and Sp(n). We end this thesis by extending the definition of an index defined by Conley and Zehnder bu using the properties of the Leray index. Their index plays a significant role in the theory of periodic Hamiltonian orbit.

Risk-adjusted return performance on a screened index : An empirical investigation of a Shariah screened index and a non-screened index

elf, andreas, Gonzalez Riffo, Eduardo January 2012 (has links)
This paper investigates whether an Islamic screened benchmark index shows a different risk adjusted performance in comparison to a non-screened benchmark index. In contrast to other papers this study analyzes daily observations in the years from 2007 to 2012, a period heavily affected by the financial crisis. The Capital Asset Pricing Model and the Jensen measure of abnormal returns are used to estimate and compare the indexes mean risk-adjusted returns. The results show that the Islamic index does not reveal any different level of daily mean risk-adjusted returns compared to the conventional non-screened index. Hence, Muslims who align their investments according to the teachings of Islam are not worse off than non-restricted investors following the screened Islamic index.
