[en] WORK AND EDUCATION ON THE SOLIDARY ECONOMY PRATICES: IS IT SOCIABILITY ON THE EMANCIPATOR PERSPECTIVE? / [pt] TRABALHO E EDUCAÇÃO NAS PRÁTICAS DE ECONOMIA SOLIDÁRIA: UMA SOCIABILIDADE NA PERSPECTIVA EMANCIPATÓRIA?

SILVIA NEVES SALAZAR 17 September 2008 (has links)
[en] This research is a result from analyze of work`s processes that are constituted in the diversity among productive units of solidarity economy in Brazilian contemporaneousness. In this purpose the study searches to clear up the potentiality of these practices in the constitution of a new sociability from the emphasis on extraeconomic aspects. Through semi-structured interviews based on experiences from people that are in ten productive units of solidarity economy in the state of Espírito Santo.Bibliographic research, documents about the movement, participation on events, on plenary assemblies of Forum Estadual de Economia Popular Solidária/FEPS, and our participation on first and second stages to elaborate the map of solidarity economy in the state of Espírito Santo supported our investigation. The discovery of potentiality of educational processes in solidarity economy demands a constant critical efforts, setting these kind of actions in the context of dynamic of social relations that faced with new kinds of employments with a tendency to incorporate to the capital . However the analyze notices that these experiences work also such as a space that reveals different forms of popular culture, like a set of loose practices and representations. Thus, it is an analyze that concerns the potentialities of the movement of solidarity economy in Brazil, in the 1990s, inserted in a society of classes, it becomes in a complex and contradictory social historic movement.

[en] THE FORMATION TRAJECTORIES AND THE UNIVERSE OF WORK OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATORS: A DIALOG WITH THE MEMORIAL TEXTS / [pt] A FORMAÇÃO E O TRABALHO DOS EDUCADORES AMBIENTAIS: UM DIÁLOGO COM AS MEMÓRIAS

CLAUDIA LINO PICCININI 04 May 2009 (has links)
[en] This piece of research endeavors to shed light on the formation trajectories and the universe of work of a professional category identified as environmental educators. To that purpose, an introductory discussion brings up present problems in the realm of Environmental Education (EE), its institutionalization, and the professionalization of its agents against a legal apparatus which contemplates EE on all levels and teaching modalities, requiring, therefore, its positive insertion in educational policies. Marx and Engels historical materialism provides the theoretical framework for the understanding of the contemporary universe of work along with Gramscian perspectives, which help think such educators as intellectuals. Recent studies in the realm of EE subsidize the central issues stemming from the memorial texts, the data source of this research. Under the light of Bakhtins enunciation theory, it has been possible to move further than just an interpretation of the narratives of happenings and ideas, reaching beyond the non-said. Before the central question of the investigation How have environmental educators traced their formation pathways and professional action? conclusions point to space-time diversity as for environmental access as the primary characteristic of those trajectories, unveiling a broad spectrum starting at an initial motivation in childhood, moving on through possible options in the undergraduate years with research and continuing education, up to the requirements presented by the universe of work, and reaching the graduate years, which emerge as a way to meet the needs of a precarious formation incapable of facing the demands from a critical environmental realm. Reports meant to a diversified public by a large variety of professional activities are examined, yet subject to alienating and precarious structures of the universe of work under capitalism. Higher qualification stands for the enlargement of the loci, functions, and of time consumed by work. There is a dominating discursive register which tends to ignore the limits of education to social environmental transformation. The professionalization process is marked by historical confrontations and dualisms either multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary, either theory or practice, formation in either the undergraduate or the graduate years, either critical or traditional EE many times unveiling contradictory aspects in the formation and the exercise of EE .

FABIANE LUCENA CAVALCANTE 18 October 2010 (has links)
[en] This dissertation discusses the impact of interpersonal relationships and activities performed at work in the (re)construction of professional identities, focusing on life story narratives of of Executive Assistants. Therefore, individual interviews were conducted with six secretaries of the Presidency and Vice Presidency of large, small, public and private companies, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Under an interactional perspective and the narrative theory proposed by Linde (1993), this study investigates how evaluations, chronicles and explanations are used as linguistic features that convey coherence to these Executive Assistants’ career paths. The results indicate the importance of issues such as gender, age and physical appearance for the composition of a secretarial profile, as well as they highlight the discussion of issues such as mandatory academic training for insertion in the secretarial work, autonomy, status, power and social prestige of this profession.

[en] TIGHTENING UP HERE AND THERE: WOMEN AS THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY IN THE PLOT OF CARE AND PROVISION / [pt] APERTANDO AQUI E ALI: MULHERES CHEFES DE FAMÍLIA NAS TRAMAS DO CUIDADO E DA PROVISÃO

ALINE TOSTA DOS SANTOS 03 January 2011 (has links)
[en] This study aims the poor women that are the head of the household in the quality of care and provision articulators. ISABEL CRISTINA SILVA MARQUES PALTRINIERI 18 January 2011 (has links)
[en] This work aims to analyze the social protection network of the private initiative workers. It has also as its objective to reveal some elements of influence of this network on the construction of the conceptions of social rights and citizenship by the workers. With the process of retraction of the State as a supplier of assistance to the worker, private companies, through the benefits that compose its nets of private social protection, are supplying this gap. This process reaffirms the concept of regulated citizenship in the sense that just a selected group of workers is contemplated for such benefits - and only this group has access to quality health, food and education. At the same time it is possible to point out the trashing of the mechanisms of the welfare state, especially in the cases of health care and education. Based in a documentary and bibliographical survey and also in a field research with a sampling of the workers of the Furnas Power Plants System, Brazil, this study demonstrated that the conceptions on social rights and citizenship, on the part of the searched workers, suffers influences from private network of social protection. However, the interviews had demonstrated another significant influence: the spelling of the class that lives of the work what establishes one strong linking with the access (or no access) of the works to the benefits of the company. Another interesting point is the fragility of organization of these workers in the present time. Because of this, these benefits are not considered rights but instead favors or mechanisms of enterprise management with the objective to reach greater consensus and productivity levels.

[en] PANIS ET ARS: ARTISTS AND MANAGERS IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES / [pt] PANIS ET ARS: ARTISTAS E GESTORES NAS INDÚSTRIAS CRIATIVAS

CRISTINA LYRA COUTO DE SOUZA 22 June 2011 (has links)
[en] The growing economic and social importance of the creative industries - activities in which creativity is the essence of the business, covering the cultural and artistic production - is not yet reflected in the generation of studies on their managerial and organizational issues. Research on this area is important both for practical application in the guidance of industry professionals, and to contribute to theoretical formulations. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to understand the production in the creative industries from the perspective of its main actors - the creative people and managers that relate to them - looking at how they work, what they want, how they interact and what difficulties they face. A qualitative research in a constructive line was carried out, based on interviews with independent creators - writers and visual artists - and the managers involved in their activities. The survey results suggest that the creators have an intrinsic motivation related to the exercise of artistic activity in itself and there is no need to intervene in their creative process. Moreover, the managers of the groups studied - publishers and gallery owners - basically act as distributors or resellers, and their focus of interest is in the product and not the artist. They are managers of the product, treating only the book, the screen, the works. However, we can see that the artists need a career management, which can help both the appreciation of the work, and the creator. The reputation of the author naturally values its products. We must then build the brand of artist, chiefly due to the emergence of new media, generating more opportunities, but less potential for each channel individually. It is not enough to the artist to be published or exposed in a gallery, for the exercise of other activities and exposure in different places values the author, and so it is necessary to know where it is worth investing for sales and image enhancement. In this scenario, a figure practically nonexistent in Brazil today becomes important: the agent - the intermediate who represents the author and manages his works.

[en] TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE WORLD OF WORK AND THE SOCIAL WORKER INSERTION IN THE JOB MARKET OF MANAUS / [pt] MUDANÇAS NO MUNDO DO TRABALHO E A INSERÇÃO DO ASSISTENTE SOCIAL NO MERCADO DE TRABALHO EM MANAUS/AM.

SILVIA BEZERRA DA SILVA 13 July 2011 (has links)
[en] This research is about the recent transformations in the world of the work and the insertion of the social worker in the job market of Manaus (State of Amazonas, Brazil). In particular, it studies the insertion of the social workers that were graduated at the Centro Universitário do Norte (Uninorte Laureate) in a job market changed by the process of accumulation of capital and productive restructuring. In Brazil, especially in the city of Manaus, the recent transformations in the job market affected different kinds of workers, including the social worker that also suffers with the precarization of working conditions. In this sense, this study points out a reflection about the changes in the world of the work and its impacts to the job market of the social worker in a context were there is a growing number of universities that provide higher education in social service and on the other hand there is a restriction of public spaces and of insertion possibilities in the job market. To such end, data were gathered with the social workers that were graduated at Uninorte Laureate on 2008. The Uninorte Laureate offers higher education in social service since 2008 and today is recognized as one of the most important universities in the city of Manaus. Utilizing the results of the field research this study also aimed to promote a discussion about the perceptions of these social workers about their professional formation process and their insertion in the local job market.

[en] THE SOCIOECONOMIC PROFILE OF WOMEN MANAUARA WHO DEVELOP INFORMAL ACTIVITY IN THE VICINITY OF UNINORTE / [pt] PERFIL SOCIOECONÔMICO DAS MULHERES MANAUARAS QUE DESENVOLVEM A ATIVIDADE INFORMAL NO ENTORNO DO UNINORTE

CLAUDIA NEVES MAIA CORDEIRO 09 August 2011 (has links)
[en] This study aimed to analyze the socioeconomic profile of women informal workers in the city of Manaus, in the ages between 18 to 40 years, selling a variety of foods, in the vicinity of the University Center North. For this purpose, a study on women entering the labor market and the implications that the transformations of relations of the labor market resulted in the life of working women. Points informal work as both an alternative to the survival of workers outside the formal labor market, as an option to escape from too much regulation of the state s economy, job alternatives used by large formal businesses, with part-time work and contracts for services. Informality is expanding both the service of capital, as well, not anymore, one option to work even outside the formal ball, removing the worker s labor rights and social protection. The surroundings of the University Center North - Uninorte favors the practice of informal due to the large influx of students who pass through there daily and choose to consume the food sold by street vendors because of their low prices and fast service. The survey results showed that despite the poor conditions suffered by workers who live in this practice, the vendors said they were satisfied with the work.

[en] IS IT WORTH THE COST?: LABOR REFORM IN BRAZIL UNDER THE MEDIATION OF LABOR VALUE THEORY / [pt] VALE QUANTO PESA?: REFORMA TRABALHISTA NO BRASIL SOB A MEDIAÇÃO DO VALOR-TRABALHO

FERNANDO DE OLIVEIRA TEIXEIRA DA SILVA 29 December 2011 (has links)
[en] This study has as its objective to analyze the process of actualization in the Brazilian labor laws, which started during Fernando Henrique Cardoso first term and is still taking place in the country today, in the form of a great diversity of bills and other initiatives that either have already changed or are intended to change the labor laws. It ‘s intended to investigate if these modifications – both the ones already accomplished and the ones in the project stage – are intended to institutionalize working practices that are already prevailing, checking the connections between this process and the demand for preserving the accumulation process that is made possible by raising the rates of profit and by increasing the exploration of the surplus value. Thereby it is possible to analyze if the current project of Labor Reform can be described as a legal adaptation to the capitalist productive restructuring that was a late process in Brazil and only took place from the 1990, which would mean a conformation to the capitalist demand. Therefore, it was necessary to make a conceptual investigation of the labor value theory and an analysis of a context distinguished by the neoliberal project and perceived as a suitable moment to make deep changes on work relations laws. Currently it is a common sense statement in Brazil that the Labor Reform is a necessity once we take into account the social and cultural transformations that have occurred in the last decades in the Brazilian society and that would make the Consolidation of the Labor Legislation outdated and obsolete. Considering this political and ideological context, it became necessary to recover the conception of labor as an inevitable basis of the social life as well as its quality as a value creator in a capitalist economy.
