Kniha cechu kožešníků v Žatci 1474-1814 / Book of the furriers of Žatec 1474-1814Benátská, Klára January 2016 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the guild book of furriers from Žatec, which originated from the period between 1474-1816. Its main objective is to create an edition of this book and make it available for further research. This thesis can be divided into two parts: introductory chapters and the actual edition of the book. In the first part are briefly introduced Prague furriers guilds, whose development are linked with guild from Žatec, further outlined is the history of the furrier's guild from Žatec. This chapter is largely based on the edited book and focuses primarily on the guild in the 16th and 17th century. It analyses the organization and most important regulation of the furriers. The next two chapters deal with the book itself. They analyse both the external and internal characteristics. Emphasis is placed on the description of the book and study of its internal structure. Editorial note summarizes the rules under which the edition was created. The second and larger part contains the edition itself. The thesis deals with marketing activities of the north-bohemian town Žatec in terms of Tourism. It discovers its predispositions to be successful and up-to-date tourist destination. It highlights the role of the Tourism Office in Žatec as the main participant of the tourism in the town. The main goal is to evaluate current position of the town as one of the tourist destinations in the Czech Republic, to analyse current marketing strategy and to project a new marketing strategy for 2013. The thesis was discussed with the culture management of the town. It will be also a clue for the management to set its 2013 marketing strategy.

Tématem diplomové práce jsou Fondy EU a jejich využití v rámci strategie rozvoje obce. V teoretické části je práce zaměřená na pojmy týkající se regionálních a strukturálních fondů EU, operační programy pro rok 2014 - 2020 v ČR a hlavní cíle regionální politiky. V praktické části se práce zabývá charakteristikou vybrané obce, města Žatec, týkající se hlavně ekonomické a sociální úrovně. Dále je diplomové práce zaměřená na projekty, které již vznikly za podpory EU fondů a jejich vliv na rozvoj města. Hlavním cílem práce je šetření v podobě strukturovaných rozhovorů s obyvateli města a jejich pohled na využití dotací z EU fondů.

The thesis deals with the use of European Union structural funds in the development of city Zatec. The theoretical part will focus on the basic concepts of regional policy and structural funds. First chapter of the practical part will be approximated on description of city Zatec and executed and planned projects. The most important project Temple of Hops and Beer which was built to enhance tourism in the region, is an important point of the practical part. The practical part of the work will also pay the processing and evaluation of secondary data, focused on demographic and social indicators and evaluation of statistical data traffic of Zatec tourists since the opening of the tourist object Temple of Hops and Beer. The main objective of this work will be an investigation in the form of an interview with the deputy mayor of the town of Zatec, regarding current and future projects financed from EU funds and their impact on the improvement of social and economic factors on life in the city. Subsequently conducted interviews with local residents of the city to determine their perception of the efforts the city council on the future development of the city.

The present work was written following a master thesis on the settlement and the shape of the early mediaeval agglomeration of Žatec in the 9th century. Subject of this dissertation is the processing of pottery from settlement features and from the 10th -century fortification. This enabled to study the development of the fortification system and changes of the settlement structure within individual settlement components. On the basis of excavations a relative chronology of the pottery and in accordance with the dendrochronological data a hypothesis on absolute dating has been presented. In view of this new chronology a new quantitative and qualitative analysis of information on the early mediaeval strongholds and hill-top settlements of the 9th and 10th century in the central and lower Ohře Region and in the Ore Mountain foothills was undertaken. A processing of the research on Drahúš stronghold has contributed substantially to this new perspective. The 1960s opinion on the affiliation of early mediaeval strongholds on the territory in question to the tribal territory of the Lučans, which should have been opposed to the Central Bohemian Přemyslid patrimony, based on the gathered information and its analysis could have been rejected. Marketing turistické nabídky města Žatce / Marketing of tourism offer of the town of ŽatecNovotný, Jan January 2011 (has links)
The thesis analyses the marketing of tourism offer of the town of Žatec with a particular emphasis on its principal product -- the Temple of Hops and Beer. Its main objective is to formulate proposals of specific marketing measures for the popularization of the general tourism offer of the town of Žatec and the Temple of Hops and Beer for the last quarter of the year 2011 and 2012. After defining the main tourist industry attractions of Žatec, the thesis builts upon the SWOT analysis and 5P marketing mix. In the case of the Temple of Hops and Beer the paper presents a proposal of the marketing plan incorporating 5C marketing approach, which assesses the above-mentioned product from a broader visitor's point of view. Both approaches are adjusted to budget and public administration management rules. This thesis' conclusion will serve as an input for the tourism industry subjects in Žatec in accordance with the development strategies approved on local, regional, as well as national level.

Strategie expanze Žateckého pivovaru na zahraniční trh / Expansion strategy of Žatec brewery into a foreign marketJežková, Barbora January 2015 (has links)
The Master's thesis focuses on international expansion process of a company. For the application part of the thesis I have chosen a company called Žatec brewery Ltd. which belongs into a category of small and medium enterprises. The main objectives of the thesis comprise selection of a convenient Western Balkans region market for expansion of the brewery and subsequent formulation of a specific market entry strategy. The market entry strategy consists of a market entry mode selection, competitive strategy and marketing strategy as well as marketing mix 4P. The minor objectives include characteristics of the brewery's business strategy and the role of international expansion in it and also the company's financial analysis whose results underpine its expansion possibilities. The other minor objectives comprise multi-criteria decision model creation in order to decide for the most attractive target market and the expansion key success factors identification. As for the methods used, analyzes like financial analysis, PEST analysis, Porter's model of five forces and SWOT analysis, and then comparisons dominate. Croatia was finally identified as the most suitable regional market for the brewery's expansion and the company was advised to enter it with its gluten-free lager product. It was suggested, at the same time, that the brewery use to its advantage the background provided by its current owner - beer brewing company Carlsberg.
