Net energy of dry extruded expelled soybean meal for growing pigs determined by indirect calorimetry and validation of net energy system using a typical Western Canadian grower finisher diet

Ettungalpadi Velayudhan, Deepak January 2013 (has links)
The objectives of this research were to determine the net energy (NE) of dry extruded expelled soybean meal (DESBM) using an indirect calorimetry (IC) in growing pigs, to determine the effect of multi-enzyme supplementation on the NE content of DESBM fed to growing pigs and to validate the NE system for feed formulation. In Exp 1, the values obtained with the IC method were consistently greater than those obtained with prediction equations. The discrepancy between the determination technique used was about 1% when diets were formulated with a constant protein content or corn:soybean meal ratio (1.0% and 0.7%, respectively), however, this was 4.1% when diet was formulated with simple substitution technique. Thus the NE value of DESBM was evaluated to be 2,548 kcal/kg DM when diets were formulated on a constant ratio between the other energy yielding components. In Exp 2, addition of enzyme increased the NE value of both the diet and the test ingredient; DESBM. Supplementation with multi-enzyme complex (Superzyme-OM, Canadian Bio-System Inc., Calgary, Canada) at 0.05% and 0.1% of the diet improved NE values of DESBM by 4.9 % and 3.7%, respectively. In Exp 3, the results indicate a better growth performance (ADG and G:F) when diets were formulated on NE basis compared to the DE system of diet formulation. Moreover addition of enzyme improved the performance for the NE system of diet formulation

Využití technologie LINQ / Use of LINQ technology

Fexa, Marek January 2007 (has links)
This work is focused at new Microsoft technology for querying data LINQ (Language intergrated query). It is built as complex technology, it allows working with various data sources. For example it contains collections of objects, created for temporary storing data in memory, but also data in robust database systems. In first part of this work I describe how data was queried before LINQ was on scene and what reasons made LINQ originate. Then I analyze new features in C# that were prerequisites for creating language integrated query as part of base libraries. Next part focuses at query operators, their interfaces and provides examples of use. Then I describe LINQ technology in complex, I create and describe in detail process of execution of LINQ query. Next chapter describes querying ADO.NET Datasets. Practical examples are created for both typed and untyped Datasets. In following chapter I analyze LINQ to SQL functionality. There is described method of implementation, mainly translation LINQ query to SQL language, integrated object rational mapping tool, change tracking in mapped objects including concurrency problems. At the end of the chapter I sketch the future in data access in ADO.NET entities. In last but one chapter is created complex application of use LINQ technology. Application is built as thin client that uses LINQ as for reading and manipulating data from relational database. In the application is LINQ also used common work with component that presents data. At the end part of this work is LINQ technology summarized. Contribution and pitfalls of LINQ technology are also described.

Progressive Multiple Sequence Alignments from Triplets

Kruspe, Matthias, Stadler, Peter F. 14 December 2018 (has links)
Motivation: The quality of progressive sequence alignments strongly depends on the accuracy of the individual pairwise alignment steps since gaps that are introduced at one step cannot be removed at later aggregation steps. Adjacent insertions and deletions necessarily appear in arbitrary order in pairwise alignments and hence form an unavoidable source of errors. Idea: Here we present a modified variant of progressive sequence alignments that addresses both issues. Instead of pairwise alignments we use exact dynamic programming to align sequence or profile triples. This avoids a large fractions of the ambiguities arising in pairwise alignments. In the subsequent aggregation steps we follow the logic of the Neighbor-Net algorithm, which constructs a phylogenetic network by step-wisely replacing triples by pairs instead of combining pairs to singletons. To this end the three-way alignments are subdivided into two partial alignments, at which stage all-gap columns are naturally removed. This alleviates the “once a gap, always a gap” problem of progressive alignment procedures. Results: The three-way Neighbor-Net based alignment program aln3nn is shown to compare favorably on both protein sequences and nucleic acids sequences to other progressive alignment tools. In the latter case one easily can include scoring terms that consider secondary structure features. Overall, the quality of resulting alignments in general exceeds that of clustalw or other multiple alignments tools even though our software does not included heuristics for context dependent (mis)match scores.

Improvement on Aquaculture Cage Net Volume Deformation

Tang, Hung-Jei 15 August 2001 (has links)
The purpose of this study is improve the cage net volume deformation during typhoon attacking. A special bottom collar system is to substitute the sinkers system. The Research contents include the numerical development and the hydrodynamic physical model test in a wave tank. The numerical model is based on the lumped mass method to set up the equation of motion of the whole cage net system; meanwhile the solutions of equation have been solved through the Runge-Kutta fifth order method. The hydrodynamic physical model tests have been carried out to verify the goodness of the numerical model. The research results are as follows. The sinker system¡¦s numerical model simulation indicates that the error of the maximum tension at anchor is about 4.54% higher than the physical model results, and the error of net deformation rate is about 8.04% higher. While the bottom collar system¡¦s numerical model simulation indicates that the error of the maximum tension at anchor is 6.34% lower than physical model results, and the error of net deformation rate is 3.82% lower. The physical model show that the minimum side projection area deformation rates of net in the bottom collar system is about 4~6% higher than the sinker system¡¦s. According to the conclusions of this study, the presented numerical model is capable to predict the whole cage net system performance and indicates that the bottom collar system is practically feasible in improving the cage net volume deformation.

Darbui su duomenų bazėmis skirtos programavimo kalbos kompiliatorius .NET platformai / Database oriented programming language compiler for .NET framework

Bieliūnas, Rytis 11 August 2009 (has links)
Šiuo metu didžioji dalis praktiškai naudojamų taikomųjų programų daugiau ar mažiau dirba su duomenų bazėmis. Tai ypatingai aktualu kuriant buhalterines, verslo valdymo ir panašias programų sistemas, nes jos plačiai išnaudoja duomenų bazių sistemų galimybes. Darbe nagrinėjama tokioms programoms kurti skirta Microsoft Navision programavimo kalba (C/AL). Išanalizuoti jos privalumai ir trūkumai. Siūlomas būdas kaip panaudojant C/AL kalbą būtų galima patobulinti .NET platformos priemones skirtas darbui su duomenų bazėmis. Pasiūlyta nauja kalba C/AL .NET. Atlikti šios kalbos kompiliatoriaus ir pagalbinių bibliotekų prototipo projektavimo ir programavimo darbai. Parašyta eksperimentinė sistema naująja kalba. Parodyta, kad programas parašytas naująja kalba galima integruoti su kitomis .NET kalbomis ir panaudojant šią kalbą sėkmingai spręsti duomenų bazių programavimo problemas. / Most of the applied software systems used today work with databases in one way or another. It is especially important while developing accounting, business management and similar software systems, because they make an extensive use of database management systems. This work examines Navision programming language (C/AL) that is used for the development of such type of software. Work analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of C/AL and proposes database management and usage related improvements and tools for .NET framework by creating a new programming language – C/AL .NET. Compiler and runtime library prototypes for such language were designed and implemented. Using the new language an experimental system was created. It was shown that programs written in the new language can be integrated with other .NET languages and successfully used to solve certain database programming problems.
