Duarte, Tatiane dos Santos 29 August 2011 (has links)

______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This research analyzes, based on fieldwork done in the Frente Parlamentar Evangélica of Brazilian National Congress how such congressmen take part in the dynamic and space of the Legislative power. Thus, I make an ethnographic description of the discourses of these congressmen, which are mainly based on a “holy war” between the “consecrated” ones and the enemy that occupies the political world and the Brazilian public sphere. Therefore, I suspect that we currently watch a larger “dessectarização” of evangelic groups in politics when such agents seek not only to become the church of tomorrow (competing with the Catholic Church for the position of civil religion), but, overall, to transform, through their political participation, the world of the impious in the world of the just. So I consider, because of this, the particular ways of acquisition of subtleties and competences necessary to professionalize the politicians and the political relations that surround them. This is because the evangelic also have to learn such abilities, especially because they are in a process of construction of a historical heritage in politics. At last, I analyze how the evangelic as professional politicians make way to a form of political representation and participation that considers both the daily exercise of faith and a kind of investment in the activities of the century, reinterpreting, thus, the historical process of state secularization.

Junto e misturado : imanência e transcendência no PCC

Biondi, Karina 07 April 2009 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 2437.pdf: 1173546 bytes, checksum: 947ca24ddc2bdbcedc8ab337768f3644 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-04-07 / Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais / The Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), a collectivity originated inside prisons in the state of São Paulo in the early 1990s, underwent deep transformations with the addition of Equality to its ideals. The incorporation of this principle has instituted a tension that infiltrates and runs through the capillaries of the PCC, effecting simultaneous formations and suppressions of power foci, alongside concurrent constructions and dissolutions of hierarchies. A series of mechanisms and strategies have been triggered in order to set up a Command between equals , establishing tensions in all its political dimensions. This work approaches the functioning of the PCC through the description of diverse plans by which its politics is operated. One of these plans concerns the PCC as a transcendental force, whose investigation led to theoretical wrings that enabled me to reflect about the construction of a transcendence by means of an immanentist anthropology, that is, an anthropology that allows the understanding of transcendence and the means of its production without considering it preeminent. It is the PCC-transcendence, produced in the immanence and to it mingled, that allows successive processes of deterritorialization concomitant to desindividualization phenomena, and supports the existence of this social formation without a firm territorial link, enabling the presence of the PCC even where we do not find its members.

The political activity in this city, far from operating only the possibilities of action offered by political parties, takes place also in the particular arrangements of two collectivities - political group and family. I will seek to describe how political parties are central to the political constitution of this city, by offering mechanisms and logics without all the political calculus of my research interlocutors would not take place. My purpose in this sense will be to describe how each of the parts that compose the local politics does not relate only to the opposition and exclusion on the other, but through acts of composition, presupposition and mutual political actualization. At the same time, I try to point how the political involvement in Monsanto is not a product of ignorance or inexistence of modern practices of democracy, which, in contrast, are equated within their political logics.

Amigos e competidores: política faccional e feitiçaria nos Potiguara da Paraíba / Friends and Competitors: Factional politic and witchcraft on the Potiguara from Paraiba

Vieira, José Glebson 26 July 2010 (has links)
This thesis presents an investigation on the Potiguara policy and consists in examining the formation of different positions as chiefship and leadership and the factional politics. The line of approach adopted focuses on the role of friendship, fellowship, witchcraft and accusation conflicts in sociopolitical processes and in the political factional game of aggregations in \"kinship\" and \"groups\". It is structured in three analysis levels: The first focuses in the production of kinship and the regimes of territoriality, with the aim of understanding the native construction about history and kinship and how the area is used by the Potiguara, as well as the management of relations between themselves and others. The second level assesses the native formulations about the language of the mixture and the civilization theme in the Potiguara statement on temporality, by the analysis of the Indian Census in 2006, in order to understand the native ethno sociology, and therefore the gradients of classification of relations of otherness. And the third level observes the construction of the policy starting from the native conceptions of\" being chief\" and \"being a leader\" and is intended to outline the elaborations on the action and political representation. Considering the contexts of production of chiefs and leaders and factional disputes, the political comprehension, proposed here, explains: The investment figured in the composite unit by the leadership that assumes the establishment of the political field and the definition of the chief himself, as the subject differently, by accumulation, potentiating and canalizing of subjectivities, relations ownership, people, goods, and exterior resources; and the movement to make and unmake groups whose political action - of the leader - attempts to introduce the multiplicity and heterogeneity, and shows a tendency to non-fixity, the segmentarity and the inclusion of the non-human, by witchcraft and catimbó in social life and politics among humans.

Formas políticas ameríndias: etnologia jê / Amerindian political forms: Gê ethnology

Andrade, André Drago Ferreira 13 February 2012 (has links)
Perhaps a rather slippery path to the understanding of Amerindian societies, perhaps an avoidable complexity, politics is a subject usually met with silence by americanists. Given its relative and peculiar abandonment, this research aims to supply incentives and materials for forthcoming reflections. More precisely, I try to locate and reconstruct the object politics along a double-restricted panorama: to Gê Ethnology committed to a homonymous anthropological conjunction of indigenous groups; and to the period which, according to my fellow gê-ologists (cf. Coelho de Souza 2002), encompasses the sub-disciplines establishment as relatively autonomous scientific niche, limited, on one side, by the ethnological forming, naming and individualization of the Gê in the early twentieth century , and, on the other, by Curt Nimuendajús pioneer efforts and by Julien Stewards synthetic enterprise, i.e., the Handbook of South American Indians (1949) later on the course of that same century. Some kind of Archeology (cf. Clastres 1980), this work repels the pretense of regarding the objects Gê politics lack of formal definitions as enunciative deficiencies to compensate for, and undertakes the incumbency of treating its polysemic fleeting substance(s) not as obstacles impeding any sort of synthesis, but as the very stuff of its descriptions and analyses.

Etnografia no movimento: território, hierarquia e lei no PCC

No. of bitstreams: 1 6378.pdf: 2387589 bytes, checksum: 66402c14e6aa6080defff3c3e2b8dc29 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-09-09 / Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais / The First Command of the Capital (PCC), approached here as a Movement, appeared in São Paulo s prisons in the early 1990s and today is present in the majority of penal institutions and urban areas within the State of São Paulo. This approach taken here has two important implications for the thesis. Firstly, it demands reflection on an ethnography in motion. Secondly, instead of conduce to the exposure of forms, it required to make the description of the PCC-making. Thus, this thesis concerns the modes of doing PCC and ethnography. Methods therefore. The seemingly abstract notions that gave name to the parts of this thesis (motion, idea and situation), associated with others that were called to make the descriptions, they all show a (mobile) way of existing and seeing this existence which can be called PCC. Inspired by this practice of knowledge, this thesis presents the description (1) of the movement, composed of countless movements that, refusing spatial demarcations, lead to a critique of the notion of territory; (2) of the ideas, which, without defined origin and predictable or definitive end, bring into question the ways in which the concept of hierarchy are worked in the social sciences; (3) of the situations, which displace the notion of law to not legalistic bases. In short, this thesis presents some characteristics of PCC that allow to replace some key concepts to anthropology. These displacements give the title to this thesis: before naming what will be described, this title indicates what will be challenged by my description about the PCC.

Etnografia do processo de reforma psiquiátrica do Serviço de Saúde Dr. Cândido Ferreira / The funding policy of a care technology. Ethnography of psychiatric reform process Health Service Dr. Cândido Ferreira

This work analyzes the established funding policy in co-management agreement between the Municipal Health Sector Campinas and the Health Service Dr. Cândido Ferreira (Serviço de Saúde Dr. Cândido Ferreira–SSCF) since 1990. From the professionals‘ speech who works in this institution, I describe how, in the SSCF, making politics is inherent to the clinical practice, the negotiating relationship with that Health Sector, the writing strategies and manufacturing agreement documents. The ethnography was held at the Agreement Monitoring Commission, at the House Commission, at the meeting of the Therapeutic Residential Services‘ Team (Serviço Residencial Terapêutico–SRT) and at one training course of this professionals in this area and at commemorative event of the 20 years of its implementation. The changes arising from the reform process within the psychiatric model, described was based on mnemonic professional‘s speech, and its effects on the life of one resident of SRT, reveals the technical and architectural rearrangements that produced the rehabilitation of the inmates, the Individual Therapeutic Project and to a support network. In SRT, a ―care technology‖ was implemented, drawn from the singularity of users, combining not only psychiatric procedures and knowledge, but also clinical, psychological and geriatric in monitoring interventions (continuous control), monitoring (monitoring the distance) and management in order to govern the conduct and the life project of those. The ―clinic of detail‖, the ―therapeutic management‖ and the ―co-management relationship‖ allows the team to evaluate, calculate and discuss the individual demand, rationalized in data which are recorded in documents and made into parameters that disseminate information between professionals enabling the latter to measure the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and improve them, plan them and manage the SRT goals. This way of proceeding, that transmutes the information in singular knowledge that subscribe thus into documents and makes them visible to the municipal administrators, justifies funding and authorizes the government practices to the SRT.

A diferença entre os iguais

Bicca, Alessandro January 2011 (has links)
The present research, which has as its theme the influence of the Catholic Church in the current socio-historical context of Timor-Leste, was carried out between June 2008 and August 2010. Timor-Leste, located in South East Asia, became independent in 2002 after four centuries of Portuguese occupation and 24 years of Indonesian domination. The Catholic Church, one of the oldest institutions of the country, arriving in Timor on the seventeeth century with the first Portuguese sailors, reclaims to itself a distinguishing role in the protection of people during the years of conflict between the guerrilla and the Indonesian army and in the process that led to its independence. In order to carry out my field work through observing-participation, I focused my analysis amongst the Humangili, an ethno-linguistic group, which has approximately 2,000 people, who are speakers of Hresuk and are inhabitants of Ataúro Island. Contrary to the rest of Timor, the Catholic Church arrived in Ataúro only after the first four decades of the twentieth century. In Humangili, all of the people are Christian and are followers either of the Catholic Church or of the Assembly of God, though certain practices that evoke the spirits of the forefathers and of nature persist until today. The purpose of this research is to analyse the relation between Catholicism and the practices of cult to the forefathers and to the spirits of nature. I divided this work into four chapters where, through the lens of religion, I analyse the political and economic dynamics, marriage arrangements and the meaning of conversion to the Humangili. In the last part, I present a Hresuk-Portuguese dictionary as an attempt to preserve this oral form of communication.
