Viagens guardadas : arte da autobiografemática em educação

Frichmann, Betina January 2012 (has links)
Biography, biographematic, autobiographematic. A shock between tiny lives and secret dots inside messy drawers. A way of writing about the self with data collected in the non-routine of the emotions, in the territory between borders, history, and fiction. As a processual place, Education has in the method a basic tool to develop procedures. In this study, the method is not defined beforehand, it develops as the operations occur and are made during the process. What interests me in the procedure is to gather in order to be able to transform. What I have in mind is a transforming gaze. This book-object-dissertationp r o d u c t i s a c a t h e d r a l o f a c t i o n s . Objects-images produce this set, and are not necessarily a m a d e u p p r o d u c t . My wish is that this set witnesses the life from where the affections are drawn. A life that flows, that detaches reality, life without past. A life that occupies geographic s p a c e s , s p a c e s f o r t h o u g h t - s e n s a t i o n s . This text proposes a view of art based on the observation of life, and life as creation. It seeks a non-chronological time that unsettles thought, making it pulsate.

That-has-been a discussion on the body cast as that which fixes a subject in time, in relation to notions surrounding the photograph

Maree, Christine Fae January 2008 (has links)
Much like a photograph, a casts creates a replica of its referent, thereby immobilising the subject in time. While the subject continues in time and hence ages and inevitably dies the replica does not. With this basic notion of fixing a subject, I have built an argument to contextualise my sculptures, which are made using casts of elderly people. In this discussion I have looked at my works through the ideas of different theorists. The main theorist I have cited is Roland Barthes, specifically with regards to his notion of the photograph as discussed in his book Camera Lucida. I have also referenced three particular artists: Rachel Whiteread, Diane Arbus and Churchill Madikida, as I have found each of their works relate to my work in various ways, creating a different reading from each viewpoint.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Iury Carlos Bueno.pdf: 1651121 bytes, checksum: 664b6ab8d7f434050b9d7ee5f566ad59 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-06-09 / The present research is dedicated to a reflection on the possible relations between photography and haikai in the work of Roland Barthes, including those works of the author that can illustrate them: The Empire of Signs (1970), The Neutral (1977-1978), The Preparation of Romance (1978-1979) and Camera Lucida (1980). More specifically, we will focus on the concept of "punctum" in the light of the insistent notes on the instantaneousness of haiku that are disseminated in the barthesian text, proposing a nexus between literature and image. We hypothesize that "punctum" is the last manifestation of "zero degree" or "neutral", understood as a problematic stronghold of meaning that escapes the paradigm of meaning. The main corpus of the research comprises the barthesian texts in which we astonish said intersection and meetings. The theoretical references involve a state of the art of barthesian studies (Calvet, Marty, Batchen and among us Motta, Perrone-Moisés), the most relevant works on photography (Dubois, Soulages, Rouillé, Frade, Sontag) and studies on haiku (Blyth, Paz, Herrigel, Keene, and among us Franchetti, Leminski, Verçosa, Campos) / A presente pesquisa é dedicada a uma reflexão sobre as relações possíveis entre fotografia e haikai na obra de Roland Barthes, abarcando aquelas obras do autor suscetíveis de ilustrá-las a saber: O Império dos Signos (1970), O Neutro (1977- 1978), A Preparação do Romance (1978-1979) e A Câmara Clara (1980).
