The Change Process : An Insight in Transformational Leader's CompetenciesKirumira, Mark Tonny January 2008 (has links)
Purpose — this thesis aims at finding out the extent to which transformational leaders exercise the required competencies during the process of change within an organization. It’s simply meant to highlight the pros and cons that are evidenced within transformational leaders during the change process. Design/ methodology/approach — the thesis relies on two cases involving mergers, notably HP-Compaq merger, and Volvo-Renault merger are used for the analysis. The reliance on models and concepts is employed, to test the empirical findings. Findings — this paper illustrates that although transformational leaders competently fulfil their, there is a certain level of incompetence that arise during the process of change. Originality/Value — this paper provides a detailed analysis of the transformational leader’s virtue and short comings during the process of change.

Modern - day school is complicated reflection of our reality. There are many problems in all education institutions that impede successfully collaborate with teachers and students. Occasionaly teachers aren‘t competetive to solve the problems. Education institutions aspiring only intellectual rearrangement forgot the principal thing, that there must be lots of schoolchildren laugh. Especialy significant, abstruse and extremely sore are social student‘s problems because they are indistinguishable part of adults‘ life and are associated with child‘s nature and growth. It is affecteted by proximate and collateral factors. Children‘s sucides, crime victims, their deteriorating health are increasing every day. Such situation caused anxiety and encouraged to research what reasons caused unsafe child‘s emotion.
Safety is certain need which must be met at schools and in families. We have no right not to pay attention to students‘ unsafety.
The purpose of master‘s work is to divulge children‘s unsafety situations at home, school , in a courtyard, in a street and substantiate children‘s safety competence guideline in the primarys school. 100 teachers and 50 learners participated in the survey. It was used the anonymous survey with 26 questions for learners and 13 for teachers. The questions of the survey were of opened and closed type and formulated regarding to the tasks of survey.

The decision to analyze the possibilities and problems of social competence in mother-tongue lessons is connected to the statement that in the lessons of above mentioned subject students should be encouraged to communicate more, understand the other, nearby person. Communication situations, variety of characters, their differences and generalities, questions analyzed in discussions, talking about polemic situations can help to do that. The aim of this thesis is to explore educational possibilities of students’ social competence in mother-tongue lessons.
Today necessary condition of personal self-sufficiency is his virtuous maturity and versatile contemporary competence, new cultural, political and economic literacy. Social human competence gets special significance in present conditions. None the less important it is the purpose of education to proportion personal objectives to objectives of civil community and in this way to create the base for self-sufficient and creative national life. The education program has to be directly connected to giving value attitudes, general abilities and competences necessary for personal and social life. The formation of new media society demands significant changes in the whole educational system. A teacher is the most important participant in this system. So, the development of his/her professional competence is essential in the context of volatile society. In the world of the progressing science and developing technologies the role of the work performed by man changes, which demands more and more knowledge and competence. The number of people striving for self-training is constantly increasing. This paper analyzes self-training peculiarities of young teachers and students, their abilities of learning from their experience.
Self-training is a conscious self-controlled process of perception directed towards the improvement of personal intellectual, moral and professional abilities.
The data of the research show that the respondents apprehend self-training differently. Some consider it as their personal improvement, the others as their professional or social one. Part of them thinks that self-training is self-education, i.e. formal learning or studying literature. This leads to the conclusion that young teachers and students lack deep and consistent comprehension of the concept of self-training.
Observing and analyzing the data I came to the conclusion that the respondents together with children, colleagues, administration and mentors improve their professional competence while reflecting, generalizing and creating new insight. Tyrime dalyvavo Vilniaus miesto 50 mokyklų vadovai iš jų 20 vidurinių, 15 pagrindinių ir pradinių mokyklų vadovai. Kokybinio tyrimo imtis kryptinga, pasirinkta tyrėjo nuožiūra, kadangi ją gali sudaryti net vienas objektas, pasižymintis savybėmis, lemiančiomis nagrinėjamos ugdymo problemos sprendimą. Atliekant tyrimą, taikytas kokybinis duomenų rinkimo metodas. Interviu tyrimo metodą nulėmė galimybė tirti natūralioje aplinkoje

The research included the heads of 50 schools from Vilnius among whom 20 people were the principals of secondary schools and 15 people were the principals of basic and primary schools. The performance of the qualitative research is purposeful, it is chosen at the researcher’s discretion since it may comprise more than one subject matter with such peculiarities that could determine the solution to the educational problem, which is the subject of the research. Kiekvienos organizacijos didžiausia vertybė - darbuotojai. Darbuotojų mokymas ir kvalifikacijos kėlimas yra labai svarbus personalo valdymo veiksnys. Tai padeda darbuotojų poreikius ir tikslus suderinti su institucijos lūkesčiais bei tikslais ir per tai siekti organizacijos tikslų. Išanalizavus teisinius bei reglamentuojančius dokumentus ir literatūrą valstybės tarnautojų mokymo klausimais, galima teigti, kad tarnautojų ugdymo sistema yra sukurta ir gali sėkmingai funkcionuoti. Numatyta mokymo organizavimo bei lėšų skyrimo tvarka. Mokymas organizuojamas, atsižvelgiant į tarnautojų nurodytus poreikius, o ne į organizacijų ateities planus. Tarnautojai, reaguodami į esamą situaciją, nenumato ilgalaikės perspektyvos, todėl ir jų nurodyti poreikiai atspindi tik dabartinę padėtį. Staff training and raising of qualification are very important factors in the management of the staff. It helps to regularize the demands and goals of the staff with the demands and goals of the institution and thus to achieve the goals of the organization. Having analyzed the juristical and regulated documents and other reports on the issues of staff training, it can be stated that the system of the staff training has been established and it can function successfully. The planning of training and the way of administering the allocations are also provided. Staff training is organized taking into consideration the demands appointed by the employees, but not the future plans of the organization. Responding to the current situation employees do not envisage long-term perspective, so their demands only reflect their current situation. Although there exists an opinion that training is necessary for everyone, the efficiency of training is not ultimate because the knowledge of one employee is not spread further in the organization. Darbo objektas - turizmo įmonių kompetencijos poveikis jų konkurencingumui. Turizmo įmonė yra savo firmos vardą turintis ūkinis vienetas, įsteigtas įstatymų nustatyta tvarka tam tikrai komercinei-ūkinei veiklai. Įmonę sudaro medžiaginių-daiktinių, finansinių ir nematerialių aktyvų, jos teisių ir pareigų kompleksas. Įmonė, kaip teisės subjektas (įmonininkas), gali turėti juridinio asmens teises arba veikti kaip fizinis asmuo (Lietuvos įmonių įstatymas, I skirsnis, Bendrieji nuostatai).
Tiriamoji problema. Turizmo paslaugų kokybės užtikrinimas yra svarbus kiekvienai turizmo paslaugas teikiančiai organizacijai.
