Cette recherche porte sur le rôle d’un système d’information de veille stratégique dans des projets d’innovation. Plus précisément, elle porte sur le rôle des informations issues d’une activité de veille stratégique sur les prises de décision tout au long d’un processus d’innovation. La question de recherche est la suivante : Quelle est l’influence d’une activité de veille dans les prises de décisions au cours du processus d’innovation ? L’objectif est de contribuer à enrichir les connaissances sur un sujet qui a été peu abordé dans la littérature et qui rencontre de vraies problématiques managériales. L’originalité de l’article est de mobiliser la théorie de la décision en situation (approche naturalistique de Klein) pour étudier la prise de décision dans les processus d’innovation comme une décision complexe et ainsi l’influence que peuvent avoir des résultats d’une activité de veille sur des décisions complexes. Cette recherche fut menée grâce à une approche exploratoire qualitative de 23 entretiens. Nos résultats révèlent que la veille joue trois rôles au cours du processus d’innovation. Le rôle d’exploration de l’environnement implique le fait que la veille alimente le processus d’innovation à la quasi-totalité des phases. L’influence de la veille tend à s’estomper avant de connaître un regain une fois l’innovation introduite sur le marché. Le deuxième rôle est celui de confirmation de l’intuition des décideurs. Ces derniers ont à prendre des décisions complexes de type GO/KILL/HOLD/RECYCLE et sollicitent leur intuition qu’ils confirment grâce à la veille. Le troisième rôle de la veille est de réduire l’incertitude caractérisant les processus d’innovation en apportant des informations stratégiques de l’environnement extérieur de l’entreprise. Enfin, cette recherche montre que la veille est utile pour prendre des décisions lorsqu’elle est ciblée sur des axes de recherches stratégiques et que ses résultats sont partagés par le biais de médias riches, soit lors de réunions en face à face avec des supports visuels sous forme d’infographie par exemple. / This research focuses on the role of a strategic scanning in innovation projects. More specifically, it focuses on the role of information from a strategic scanning on decision-making throughout an innovation process. The question of research is: what is the influence of a strategic scanning on decision making during the innovation process? The objective is to enrich the knowledge on a topic that has been little addressed in the literature and which meets real management problems. The originality of the article is to mobilize the theory of decision in situation (Klein's naturalistic approach) to study decision-making in innovation processes as a complex decision and thus the influence that strategic scanning can have on complex decisions. This research was conducted through a qualitative exploratory approach of 23 interviews. Our results show that strategic scanning has three roles during the innovation process. The role of environmental exploration implies that the day before feeds the innovation process to almost all phases. The influence of the watch tends to fade before it is regained once the innovation is introduced on the market. The second role is to confirm the decision maker’s intuition. Decision makers must make complex decisions of type GO/KILL/HOLD/RECYCLE and seek their intuition that they confirm thanks to the previous day. The third role of strategic scanning is to reduce the uncertainty that characterizes innovation processes by providing strategic information about the company's external environment. Finally, this research shows that strategic scanning is useful to make decisions when it is focused on strategic research axes and that its results are shared through rich media, either at face-to-face meetings with visual presentation in the form of infographics for example.

Consumer decision making in a complex environment : Examining the decision making process of socially responsible mutual fund investorsNilsson, Jonas January 2010 (has links)
During the last few decades, "regular people" have become increasingly involved with investing in the stock market. One way of doing this, which has become more and more popular, is to invest in mutual funds. The mutual fund industry has, due to its explosive growth, been described as a success story of the 20th century. These days, sources report that over 70% of the Swedish population actively invests in mutual funds. This thesis is an investigation into consumer decision making regarding one specific type of mutual fund: Socially Responsible Investment (SRI). SRI profiled mutual funds are different from "regular" mutual funds in that they incorporate social, ethical, and environmental (SEE) criteria. In this manner, SRI profiled mutual funds could be said to have two separate dimensions. The regular financial dimension has the purpose of generating a high level of financial return while managing risk. The socially responsible dimension, on the other hand, focuses on incorporating SEE issues into the investment process. However, consumers that desire to choose mutual funds that will both perform well financially and have a good socially responsible dimension face a more difficult decision than consumers who choose to invest in "regular" mutual funds. As each of the dimensions come with its own set of challenges which the consumer must overcome, choosing an appropriate combination of these is a difficult task. In this manner, consumers of SRI profiled mutual funds have to navigate through a complex decision making environment to arrive at a good choice. Based in this notion of decision making in complex environments, this thesis investigates how consumers combine their "traditional" financial objectives with their "additional" SEE consideration and examines the impact of personal factors related to these two areas on consumer investment in SRI profiled mutual funds. Four separate essays on these topics, each investigating a specific stage in the Engel-Kollat-Blackwell (1968) consumer decision making process, are presented. Moreover, in order to understand how complexity impacts consumer decision making in the area, the results of each study are analyzed against a conceptual framework focusing on the complexity of the market. The results show that consumers of SRI profiled mutual funds care about both financial and SEE issues. However, how consumers combine these in their decision making differs. Factors, such as the stage of the purchase decision making process, personal abilities, preferences, and perceptions are found to impact consumer decision making. Against this background, this thesis generates an increased understanding of consumer decision making in complex decision making environments in general and of SRI profiled mutual funds in particular.

Modéliser l'insertion territoriale du Miscanthus x giganteus à partir des décisions des agriculteurs : une approche exploitant le modèle du raisonnement à partir de cas / Modelling miscanthus allocation in farmland based on farmers’ decisions : a framework using the case-based reasoning modelMartin, Laura 01 December 2014 (has links)
Le Miscanthus x giganteus est une culture pérenne, nouvellement produite en Europe et présentant un intérêt fort pour son usage énergétique. Son implantation présage donc une réorganisation territoriale pérenne. Pour anticiper cette réorganisation, de nombreuses études modélisent les dynamiques spatialement explicites de son insertion. Notre thèse se positionne dans ce courant de recherche. Celle-ci vise à proposer un nouveau cadre de modélisation des processus de décision des agriculteurs, permettant la dissémination horizontale (scaling out) de ces processus issus d’études de cas, vers des territoires élargis. Pour cela, la thèse exploite le modèle du raisonnement à partir de cas. Elle articule (i) une démarche d’acquisition de connaissances sur les processus de décision des agriculteurs relatifs à l’insertion territoriale du miscanthus et (ii) la conception et évaluation d’un prototype ad hoc de raisonnement à partir de cas. La phase d’acquisition des connaissances montre que le processus d’insertion territoriale du miscanthus est complexe : celui-ci est étroitement lié aux contraintes parcellaires du territoire. Ces connaissances nous conduisent alors à discuter du choix des variables biophysiques et humaines intégrées à ce jour dans les modèles spatialement explicites. La phase de conception et d’évaluation du prototype de raisonnement à partir de cas montre que le modèle du raisonnement à partir de cas est particulièrement bien adapté pour modéliser un phénomène contextualisé. Evalués sur nos données d’enquêtes, ces résultats nous conduisent à discuter des modalités d’application du prototype sur d’autres bassins de production de miscanthus / Miscanthus x giganteus is the perennial crop, newly produced in Europe. Even if miscanthus is not so heavily produced nowadays, this crop would be of great interest for energy use. However, the allocation of miscanthus could produce a sustainable reorganization of the landscape. Therefore, many studies aim to model the land use change caused by miscanthus, in order to identify sustainable supply areas: our research belongs to this field. In our research, we propose a new framework for modeling decision-making process of farmers, relying on scaling out. More accurately, we propose to use the case-based reasoning model which solves problems based on an analogical reasoning. Then our research is structured: (i) by a knowledge acquisition step about decision-making process of farmers, based on farm surveys, conducted in the Côte d'Or department (Burgundy region) and (ii) by the design and evaluation of an ad hoc prototype of case-based reasoning. On the one hand, results of knowledge acquisition phase show that miscanthus allocation process is complex, more accurately, that miscanthus allocation process is closely related to land constraints, particularly in terms of logistic and environmental preservation of plots. These results lead us to discuss the selection of biophysical and human variables included to the current spatially explicit models. On the other hand, the design and evaluation phase of our prototype shows that case-based reasoning is particularly well suited to model a contextual phenomenon. These results lead us to discuss the modalities for implementing the prototype in other production areas of miscanthus
