Úspěchy a neúspěchy IT projektů / Successful and unsuccessful IT projects

Fidrmuc, Ladislav January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on successful and unsuccessful IT projects with critical success factors detail. The purpose of the diploma thesis is obtaining a list of critical success factors in the theoretical part. The list could be interesting for success in IT projects. The list of critical success factors will be subject of examination in the practical part. Firstly I will compile a questionnaire which will contain all critical success factors from the theory. In the next step, I will meet with IT project managers who have got a lots of experiences in the branch. After that I will have completed questionnaires by IT project managers and I will evaluate critical success factors. These critical success factors will be compare with the theory. Finally I will create table with the most important critical success factors according to IT project managers.

Post-Implementation Evaluation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

Madapusi, ArunKumar 05 1900 (has links)
The purposes of this dissertation were to define enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, assess the varying performance benefits flowing from different ERP system implementation statuses, and investigate the impact of critical success factors (CSFs) on the ERP system deployment process. A conceptual model was developed and a survey instrument constructed to gather data for testing the hypothesized model relationships. Data were collected through a cross-sectional field study of Indian production firms considered pioneers in understanding and implementing ERP systems. The sample data were drawn from a target population of 900 firms belonging to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The production firms in the CII member directory represent a well-balanced mix of firms of different sizes, production processes, and industries. The conceptual model was tested using factor analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and univariate Anova. The results indicate that the contributions of different ERP system modules vary with different measures of changes in performance and that a holistic ERP system contributes to performance changes. The results further indicate that the contributions of CSFs vary with different measures of changes in performance and that CSFs and the holistic ERP system influences the success achieved from deployments. Also, firms that emphasize CSFs throughout the ERP implementation process achieve greater performance benefits as compared to those that focus on CSFs during the initial ERP system deployment. Overall, the results of the study support the relationships hypothesized in the conceptual model.

Project implementation profile tool applied to upgrading informal settlements programme projects

Shaboodien, Azher 06 May 2020 (has links)
Purpose: This research reviews the Project Implementation Profile (PIP) and explores its relevance to Upgrading Informal Settlements Programme (UISP) type projects in Cape Town. The research aims to: • Identify the most common PIP Critical Success Factors (CSF) for UISP projects, • Compare the common PIP Critical Success Factors (CSF) for UISP projects to the Construction Sector CSF • Evaluate if the PIP tool is applicable to UISP projects. • Determine if there any other critical success factors that need to be added to the CSF list that is critical to the UISP Project success Approach: A literature review was conducted to assist in identifying the common CSF in the Constructions Sector. A survey questionnaire was sent out to relevant UISP Project Managers. The survey questionnaire was based on the PIP questionnaire with additional questions regarding to the effectiveness of the PIP tool on UISP projects. The intent of the survey questionnaire is firstly to establish the common CSF for UISP projects and then evaluate the PIP effectiveness on UISP projects. Findings: Based on the research results, it was found that the high scoring CSF for UISP projects were Project Mission, Client Consultation, Technical Tasks, Monitoring and Feedback, Personal. When the high scoring CSF was compared to the Literature Based Construction Sector CSF, the following common CSF was established: Monitoring and Feedback, Client Consultation and Technical Tasks. Practical Implications: This research will give an indication of the high and low scoring CSF relevant to UISP projects, which project managers and Managers in the Human Settlements industry can use to evaluate their UISP or Breaking New Ground (BNG) housing projects. Furthermore, the PIP tool may be utilised more frequently as a project quality success assurance tool in the organisation. The PIP tool has been tested and verified in a number of different industries in previous studies but never in its application to UISP or BNG projects.

An interaction between supplier and customer

Toresson, August, Svensson, Rasmus January 2020 (has links)
Today's organizations are characterized by digitization, development and growth. A wellimplemented ERP-system that match the processes of an organization can lead to a number of benefits. ERP-implementations and critical success factors are a well-researched area. Nevertheless, a great number of ERP-implementations are still considered as failures, which makes further research around the area considered relevant. This study aims to investigate what is critically related to important success factors in implementing ERP-systems. The study began with a literature study in which 15 scientific articles were reviewed, of which 69 success factors were identified. Of those, the six most common were selected as the basis for this study. In order to answer the purpose of this study, interviews were conducted with project managers who had a lot of experience from ERP-implementations. Using the results from these, as well as the collected theory, comparisons have been made between them. This, in turn, has resulted in a finding that communication is a key part of the entire ERP implementation and in all the critical success factors investigated in this study. Hence, the interaction between supplier and customer is seen as critical in ERP implementations, so they understand each other, have shared expectations and a realistic commitment to ERP implementation.

How Employees can be Introduced to a new ERP System : A case study within Uddeholm AB

Eriksson, Johanna January 2020 (has links)

Thuresson, Oskar, Lassen Verdugo, Niklas January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis was to develop knowledge about which factors affect the implementation and maintenance of Lean in dental care. To study this, a qualitative method was used where five interviews were conducted with key persons in two cases, which were then supplemented with three interviews with persons that were not connected to the two cases. In addition to this, a document study was made related to the cases where seven documents were analyzed. The interviews were transcribed, and a content analysis was done through coding. The results generated several critical success factors and corresponding barriers to the implementation and maintenance of Lean. The critical success factors that were identified were leadership that has an interest in Lean, leadership that drives the Lean concept continuously, information sharing and education of employees and adaptation of Lean to the individual organization. The biggest barrier was resistance from staff, however, the use of information sharing helped to reduce it.
