Kulturní centrum Kopřivnice / Cultural Center in Koprivnice

Benada, Marek January 2013 (has links)
The aim is to find the approach to the transformation of cultural constructions of 70 - 80 years of the 20th century, which gradually become obsolete, both technically and morally. An example may be a conglomerate cultural center, cinema and Technology Museum, located in the central zone of Koprivnica, which after radical renewal in the second half of the 20th century did not final, complete and functional form.

Společensko-kulturní centrum v Dolních Kounicích / Socio-cultural centre Dolní Kounice

Struhařík, Daniel January 2016 (has links)
The work deals with the reconstruction of the house of culture in Dolní Kounice. The existing house was built in the sixties. Previously here was Orlovna. The building of the house of culture started after the removal which lasted a quarter of a century Later on the house was reconstructed in the nineties. The result is a building of rather chaotic form and moreover it does not fit with surrounding structures. The aim of this work is to remedy this situation. Using the construction work of the object there will be created a real house that will interact with the environment and it will respond to the actual needs of local residents and visitors from the region. The reconstruction of the house will create a compact unit.

MITOS / MITOS

Möller, Lisa January 2022 (has links)
Mitos is a proposition for a meditation center in Alberga in Eskilstuna municipality, Sweden. The meditation center offers room for temporary as well as longer stay for visiting guests enjoying the centers dance halls, yoga and meditation studios and saunas. Study spaces and the restaurant on the main entrance floor welcomes the slope buildings most public section. The meditation center also includes group therapy, light room therapy as well as an x-ray room for scientific research in the buildings fourth floor office space.  The slope placement and step-like descent of the building with recycled pale bricks adorned with sedum roofs aims to blend in with the landscape, yet make a powerful contrast by it's tempel reminiscence and squared Symmetry. The building gets its latin name Mitos from being seemingly divided into two equal parts by a 6 meter wide "stramp" (a stair with a diagonally crossing ramp), referencing the cell division phases. The stramp connects with entrances into the step-like building lower part.

Linger: Chinese Culture Center

Song, Xiaofan 11 September 2018 (has links)
How to better integrate urban texture, architecture, and culture organically, and use the architecture as a carrier to transmit more humanistic information? In today's society, people have a variety of ways to explore the culture and understand the culture. However, the most direct experience is a personal experience. As the most important carrier of human activities, architecture cannot be overlooked. From the direct sensory experience and indirect behavioral patterns, architecture is involved in human activities and ways of thinking all the time. Therefore, the combination of culture and architecture organically will give people a better way and angle to understand the culture. The relationship between local culture and local architecture is inextricably linked. However, how to integrate foreign culture into local architecture will be a very difficult problem. Directly transplanting buildings and cultural elements from a foreign culture to a local city will make the building incompatible with the original urban texture. It is not easy for local residents to accept this foreign culture from the aesthetic perspective or psychological perspective. In my thesis, I hope to design a cultural center that can match the texture of the local city and reflect the foreign culture through my thinking about the architecture and the understanding of the foreign culture: design a Chinese cultural center in Chinatown, Washington DC, to find out a reasonable way for cultural communication. / Master of Architecture / With the convenience of information dissemination and the rapid trend of globalization, the distance between people has gradually shortened. However, the way to bring human distance closer together must be the deeper understanding and mutual recognition of each other. As the most important carrier of human activities, architecture's ability to transmit cultural information is obvious. However, designing a foreign cultural center to enhance cultural communication based on the local urban environment requires consideration of more factors. Foreign buildings contain foreign cultures that make them unsuitable for being displayed too directly in the local urban environment. Therefore, how to deal with the relationship between foreign culture and local architecture more reasonably is the crucial part. It is necessary to consider the local architectural environment as well as think about the deep content of the foreign culture both in the design of the building and the site. This project will provide an opportunity to transform this conflict and contradiction to better integrate the site, architecture, and culture.

Společensko-kulturní centrum s radnicí v Kohoutovicích / Socio-cultural centre with townhall for the district Brno-Kohoutovice

Matyášová, Jana January 2016 (has links)
Design of a new town hall for the part of city Brno - Kohoutovice helps to create a functioning public space. City Hall is open to its mass and the square through the passage on the first floor does not preclude views in Kohoutovice valley. Socio - cultural hall is the second mass and utilizes existing building of Albert. The area of public space is fleshed out with new masses into more intimate and more graspable form, there is a better public space, the center of the district.

Společensko-kulturní centrum v Dolních Kounicích / Socio-cultural centre Dolní Kounice

Palenčar, Ondrej January 2016 (has links)
Culture center in Dolní Kounice In reseach of suitable alternatices for designing of a cultural center in Dolní Kounice, was a reconstruction of Culture House, bulit in the 70s founded as the best solution. The house is underused because of comlicated organisation, but has a great potential, especially due to its location. The solution is to remove leter-built volumes and simplify the organisation. The important idea is to connect the house with a square and embankement of the river Jihlava. The final proposal should meet spots and cultural needs of the community in a small village

Fire Works

Förell, Lycke January 2019 (has links)
Fire Works is a cultural center that will seem durable, welcoming and useful. The Culture center will serve as an extension of the central fireplace in the building. Something that gives light and life to the city with the activity created by the presence of the citizens. The building remains within the framework of the environment that surrounds it, a million program area with material dominance of concrete, glass and steel. Lista bridge-house / Lista Brohus

Svanberg, Niclas January 2022 (has links)
On the northern shores of the recreated lake apal an isthmus protrudes spanning east and west. A road runs along the isthmus and from its center a leisure and culture-center spans out over the water. The isthmus protects the surrounding countryside from flooding during extreme rainfall as it is predicted by MSB. There is an outlet for water connecting lake Hjälmaren with lake Mälaren containing a concrete obstacle for wandering crayfish. The Center is dedicated to the restored lake and its environmental benefits and to the Noble Crayfish domestic in Sweden but now faced with extinction due to the invasive Signal crayfish. The center follows the gentle curvature of the isthmus, half of it resting on the isthmus the other half protruding out over the water. 896 thin piles made of reinforced concrete carries the building with rests on a concrete slab. Large glulam frames and CLT beams makes out the carrying construction of the building. A long room whose width expands and collapses during its course spanns the entire length of the building and it too follows the curvature of the isthmus. No doors lead directly out to the long room, all room-exits go in an east and west direction. Large windows overlook the lake from the central restaurant, dedicated to the homegrown crayfish. The interior walls, roof and floor is made upp by wooden planks following the curvature of the Center. The glulam frames are, although clad because of the climatic surrounding, visible on the buildings exterior walls and roof like ribbs. The roof and ribbs are matt black and the walls are falu-red. Public spaces look out over the lake while the interior service rooms face north to the road. Main entrances and exits are on the eastern and western side, while cargo-loading is located on the northern side accessible from the road.

Cervin, Elise January 2021 (has links)

Järna Film House defines the central part of Järna Film Park (fictional), which is situated one hour from Stockholm in the small town of Järna. The Film House constitutes a hub for film production, film education and public film experiences. Today, many Swedish film productions from the Stockholm area are produced partly or mainly in studios abroad. Not only do such productions have a negative impact on the environment due to the extensive travelling they require, they also decrease the amount of locally produced cultural work in Sweden. Therefore, Järna Film House offers film production studios for different purposes: both feature films starring world wide famous actors as well as smaller short films and series can be produced here. Furthermore, Järna Film House offers space for post production, sound engineers, animation studios and costume production. However, apart from being a place for the film industry, the Film House is also very much a place for private visitors. With its cinema, educational facilities, exhibitions, restaurant and other film related public events, Järna Film House becomes a central hub for people to come together and experience all facets of film with each other.

Towards A More Socially Inclusive Urban Space Stimulated By Sports: The Case Of 19 Mayis Sports District, Ankara

Bican, Nezih Burak 01 July 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The thesis puts forward the problematic situation in the very urban center of Ankara with an analytical method to investigate the roots of several problems. Building its argument on historical facts, in depth observations, and political, social, and urban analysis, it proposes a rational basis for the rehabilitation of 19 Mayis Sports District, mainly focusing on the means of elevating the physical quality through the capacity of social inclusion concerning the sports activity settings and places in the region. All in all, the basic argument stands on the belief that the spatial basis of the 19 Mayis Sports District and the neighboring urban tissue around it might be re-defined and rehabilitated, if only its historical, political, ideological, and socio-cultural bases are redefined. Therefore, the study searches for rehabilitation of the 19 Mayis Sports District in Ulus, Ankara, by adapting and integrating sports with other cultural collective practices, and defining it as an alternative life-style for citizens. Because the district lays on the second division of Atat&uuml / rk Culture Center Region, a sports culture and its policy should be defined and designed for to amend that division of the region by preparing a principal master plan for the region and for the division.
