Método de avaliação do modelo de processos de negócio do EKD / Assessment method of business process model of EKD

Silvia Inês Dallavalle de Pádua 03 December 2004 (has links)
Nowadays all companies need fast systems and frequent changes on the business environment and to guarantee that the systems are reaching their goals, the developers must have a deeper comprehension of the enterprise, its goals and market strategies. The main problem to the development of software systems has been the difficulty to obtain information about the application domain. This difficulty leaded to the creation of enterprise modeling techniques, which is a valuable activity for the comprehension of business environment. The EKD - Enterprise Knowledge Development - is a methodology that gives a systematic and controlled way to analyze, understand, develop, and document an enterprise. Unfortunately it doesn\'t have syntax neither a semantic well defined, which doesn\'t help on more complex analyses of the models. As a result, the enterprise process model of EKD can be ambiguous and hard to analyze, especially on more complex systems, and also it is not possible to verify the consistency and entireness of the model. On this paper, these problems will be studied under an approach based on Petri nets. Because of the Petri nets formalism this is an important modeling technique to process representation. Furthermore, Petri nets allow the tracking of each step of the operation without ambiguity and also they have efficient methodology for analyses, which guarantee the accuracy of the model. Therefore, this work has the objective to develop an evaluation methodology of the business process model of EKD (MPN-EKD). Such methodology will make possible the verification of possible building and locking model errors. This methodology can be applied to information systems or workflow, and also can be used to study the strategies of work and workflow simulations.

The user flow in the SUS coordinated per assistance regulation: a study of the process for health secondary care accessibility

Gabriela Souza Assis Ferreira 07 October 2015 (has links)
The assistance regulation is an important public management tool that aims to facilitate users\' access to health services. However, studies show that there is not a balance between supply and demand for services in secondary care in the Unified Health System (SUS). In the present study it casts doubt on how the access is effectively structured to this level of care and what the main obstacles to the effectiveness of access are. The aim was analyze the process of access to secondary health care seeking to identify opportunities for improvement. The focus of this study was the access to medical specialty Gastrosurgery of the two hospitals that are members of the complex of the General Hospital of Ribeirão Preto Medical School (University of São Paulo). Interviews were conducted with managers, doctors and other stakeholders. From the information collected, a map of the processes using the Bizagi software and the notation for business process modeling (BPMN) was constructed. From the description and analysis, it was verified how the described processes could be optimized. It was possible to identify that the two processes studied have the same goal: provide access to secondary health care, have marked differences, such as how the distribution of vacancies. The vacancies are distributed to municipalities for quotas in the process of access to HEAB while access to HERP there is a shared regulation between the DRSXIII and the hospital. The main problems identified were outpatient non-attendance (absenteeism), incomplete or illegible reference guides, relationship difficulties between professionals and health organizations, long wait for schedule consultation, among others. It was concluded that there are points in the process that are not consistent with the rules that regulate, there is data that can be used to measure the performance process, as the proportion of new cases and requests for referral; distribution of vacancies for municipality and situation after first appointment. It was possible concluded also that the problems found can be solved through the implementation of suggested improvements; such as how improve communication and sorting in the municipalities, conduct employee training and disseminate the protocols involved.

Data Perspectives of Workflow Schema Evolution : Cases of Task Deletion and Insertion

Arunagiri, Aravindhan January 2013 (has links) (PDF)
Dynamic changes in the business environment requires their business process to be up-to-date. The Workflow Management Systems supporting these business processes need to adapt to these changes rapidly. The Work Flow Management Systems however lacks the ability to dynamically propagate the process changes to their process model schemas (Workflow templates). The literature on workflow schema evolution emphasizes the impact of changes in control flow with very ittle attention to other aspects of a workflow schema. This thesis studies the data aspect (data flow and data model) of workflow schema during its evolution. Workflow schema changes can lead to inconsistencies between the underlying database model and the workflow. A rather straight forward approach to the problem would be to abandon the existing database model and start afresh. However this introduces data persistence issues. Also there could be significant system downtimes involved in the process of migrating data from the old database model to the current one. In this research we develop an approach to address this problem. The business changes demand various types of control flow changes to its business process model (workflow schema). The control flow changes include task insertion, deletion, swapping, movement, replacement, extraction, in-lining, Parallelizing etc. Many of the control flow changes to the workflow can be made by using the combination of a simple task insertion and deletion, while some like embedding task in loop/ conditional branch and Parallelizing tasks also requires the addition/removal of control dependency between the tasks. Since many of the control flow change patterns involves task insertion and deletion at its core, in this thesis we study its impact on the underlying data model. We propose algorithms to dynamically handle the changes in the underlying relational database schema. First we identify the basic change patterns that can be implemented using atomic task insertion and deletions. Then we characterize these basic pattern in terms of their data flow anomalies (Missing, Redundant, Conflicting data) that they can generate. The Data schema compliance criteria are developed to identify the data changes: (i) that makes the underlying database schema inconsistent with the modified workflow and (ii) generating the aforementioned data anomalies. The Data schema compliance criteria characterizes the change patterns in terms of its ability to work with the current relational data model. The Data schema compliance criteria show various properties required of the modified workflow to be consistent with the underlying database model. The data of any workflow instance conforming to Data schema compliance criteria can be directly accommodated in the database model. The data anomalies (of task insertion and deletion) identified using DSC are handled dynamically using respective Data adaptation algorithms. The algorithm uses the functional dependency constraints in the relational database model to adapt/handle these data anomalies. Such handled data (changes) that conform to DSC can be directly accommodated in the underlying database schema. Hence with this approach the workflow can be modified (using task insertion and deletion) and their data changes can be implemented on-the-fly using the Data adaptation algorithms. In this research the same old data model is evolved without abandoning it even after the modification of the workflow schema. This maintains the old data persistence in the existing database schema. Detailed implementation procedures to deploy the Data adaptation algorithms are presented with illustrative examples.

Srovnání standardů pro procesní modelování / Comparison of standards for process modeling

Kalina, Jaroslav January 2008 (has links)
The scope of this thesis is the field of business process modeling and additionally the usability of business process models in areas like conceptual analysis of IS/ICT, business process reengineering and business process management. For the purpose of evaluation of the usability of current standards for business process modeling, an framework for comparison of various characteristics of these standards is proposed. This thesis has two aims. Primarily, to develop an approach for evaluation of business process modeling standards, and as a secondary aim, to apply this evaluation model onto a set of selected standards for business process modeling and thus perform a comparison of these standards. The evaluation model has two main components. The first part is to create a set of characteristics which represent two existing points of view onto the exploitability business process modeling (e.g. during the development of IS/ICT and during BPR/BPM1). During the identification of particular characteristics, a research into the related literature and other sources has been performed to provide a sufficient basis for this activity. The second part of the developed approach is to the application of PEMM (Process & Enterprise Maturity Model), which was developed by Dr. M. Hammer for the purpose os auditing the maturity of business processes. Both of these parts are then put together into one evaluation framework. Based on information gathered from the respective specifications of particular standards, related literature and articles, we've performed an application of this evaluation framework on three standards for business process modeling: EPC, BPMN and IDEF3. The benefits of this thesis could be seen as a creation of a very own approach for evaluation of business process modeling standards. Additionally by performing the comparison of these three standards for business process modeling we've created a guideline which could be there fore applied by the potential reader during the decision making of what standard to use for business process modeling (in the context of expected purpose of this modeling).

Two important areas have been in development lately: Business Process Management and Web Service Orchestration. In both of them, the objective is to integrate applications with web services interface through business process paradigm. A number of languages have been proposed with consensus being formed around BPEL (Business Process Execution Language). This dissertation presents a framework for BPEL processes analysis and verification through Pi-Calculus. Pi-Calculus is a process algebra with formal mechanisms for processes creation and activation; these processes communicate sending and receiving messages through channels using the synchronous rendezvous model. In this framework, the BPEL process is translated to a Pi-Calculus program, A Pi-Calculus Virtual Machine (MVP) receives a Pi-calculus program and executes all possible reactions, that is, it generates all execution paths possible to be taken. With this result, the properties such as high-level specification accomplishment, events ordering and deadlock freedom are verified. In practical terms, a tool of this sort can be part of a Business Process Management System (BPMS) to broaden test coverage during the analysis and implementation phases within a process life cycle. In these kinds of systems, a repairing mistake during the execution phase is more complex than in traditional systems / Mestrado / Engenharia de Computação / Mestre em Engenharia Elétrica

Ezmorrod, Ahmad, Tilldal, Niklas January 2020 (has links)
It’s common that organizations and their processes goes through a digital transformation toachieve competitive advantages. Organizations are often looking for more efficient ways ofexecuting their processes. To achieve efficiency in organizations, digital tools like RoboticProcess Automation (RPA) could be used. During the past five years RPA has become popularamong organizations due to a fast return on investments (ROI). When in a structured wayimplementing RPA in organizations, change management should be applied to handle potentialchallenges. Existing literature within the RPA field explains different types of models andholistic challenges when transitioning to RPA, however, little is known about how these changesare affecting the RPA-implementation and when they occur. Consequently, the purpose of thisstudy is to identify what challenges organizations have met during the implementation and whenthe challenges occurred. The question of the study is: What challenges in the change process isthere when implementing RPA? The study shows the importance of managing the challenges that arise initially to prevent futureissues in the RPA-project. The conclusion is that there are many different types of challenges thatan organization will encounter in change management when implementing RPA. The result of thestudy identified following challenges, organizational resistance, change management, processdescription, development of RPA and monitoring of RPA. The contribution of the study to theresearch area is when challenges during a RPA-implementation can occur and how challengesrelate to each other during the RPA-implementation.

PIVOTING TOWARDS AN INSIGHT SELLING METHODOLOGY WITH A SALES PROCESS / Insiktsförsäljning som del i försäljningsprocess

Ooi, Tjan-Chao, Pundurasi, Nils January 2013 (has links)
Sales are a subject that most people consider to be an art. The truth is that there are several sophisticated methodologies on how to successfully close a deal. However, time goes by, customers get smarter and the markets shifts. As a result sales methods start to fade away and do not necessarily work the way they used to. This thesis was conducted in co-operation with SimCorp A/S and aims to examine the concept of Insight Selling. The concept was developed by analysing top performers and how they manage to sell in an economic downturn. The purpose is to investigate how an organisation can apply the core principles of the new sales strategy on an existing sales process and current customer relationship management system. A qualitative research method was used and interviews were conducted to gather data to gain a deeper understanding on the topic of sales. The result exhibits a situation analysis that was conducted to create a representation of SimCorp’s current sales process. With the key elements of insight selling a proposed model of a future state was presented. Lastly, a requirements analysis of the customer relationship management system currently deployed at the company was designed based on the findings. The result indicated that it was possible to apply the key elements of insight selling on the current sales process. The method might be suitable for some situations but it does not replace or eliminate earlier practices.

Schönreiter, Irene 12 August 2019 (has links)
