Previous issue date: 2017-02-22 / The present research has as its main question understanding how Catholic confessional school in the city of Porto Alegre contributed to the development of the spiritual intelligence of the students who attended this institution from Elementary to High School with graduation from High School expected in 2016. The research was developed based on a qualitative, descriptive and interpretive methodological approach. The research method was initially phenomenological, following the hermeneutic-dialectical phenomenology. Three research documents of the school under study were used as research tools: Pedagogia Inaciana (PI - Ignatian Pedagogy), the Pedagogical Political Project (PPP) and the Commom Educational Project of the Jesuit Educational Network (PEC), as well as semi-structured interviews with students of high school in the studied institution. For analysis of the documents data, the analytical reading method was used according to Severino (2000); to analyze the interviews, we worked with TDA - Textual Discourse Analysis, according to Moraes and Galiazzi (2014). The understanding of the data implied a dialogical relationship among the collected data, the empirical data and the theoretical references, including the researcher's worldview in the interpretative process. In view of the whole research process, we arrived at the analysis of the research variables, which revealed three emergent categories: Values experience within the school space; Significant educational actions; Religion, Faith and Spirituality. Considering that all human beings have different intelligences, we will see some theories which affirm the existence of spiritual intelligence and its importance within a person?s life. / A presente pesquisa tem como quest?o central: Compreender como um col?gio confessional cat?lico da cidade de Porto Alegre contribui para o desenvolvimento da intelig?ncia espiritual dos alunos, que cursaram todo o Ensino Fundamental nessa Institui??o de Ensino, com previs?o de conclus?o do Ensino M?dio no ano de 2016. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida, a partir de uma abordagem metodol?gica qualitativa, descritiva e interpretativa. O m?todo de pesquisa foi inicialmente fenomenol?gico, seguindo por meio da fenomenologia hermen?utico-dial?tica. Foram utilizados como instrumentos de pesquisa a an?lise de tr?s Documentos norteadores do Col?gio pesquisado: Pedagogia Inaciana (PI), o Projeto Pol?tico Pedag?gico (PPP) e o Projeto Educacional Comum da Rede Jesu?ta de Educa??o (PEC), bem como entrevistas semiestruturadas com alunos concluintes do Ensino m?dio do col?gio pesquisado. Para an?lise dos dados dos documentos, foi utilizado o m?todo de leitura anal?tica segundo Severino (2000), isso para an?lise dos documentos; para an?lise das entrevistas, trabalhamos com ATD ? An?lise Textual Discursiva, conforme Moraes e Galiazzi (2014). A compreens?o dos dados implicou rela??o dial?gica entre os dados coletados, os dados emp?ricos e o referencial te?rico, incluindo a cosmovis?o da pesquisadora no processo interpretativo. Diante de todo o processo realizado na pesquisa, chegamos ? an?lise das vari?veis da investiga??o, que revelaram tr?s categorias emergentes: Viv?ncia de valores no espa?o escolar; A??es educativas significativas; Religi?o, F? e espiritualidade. Considerando que todo ser humano possui diferentes intelig?ncias, conheceremos alguns te?ricos que defendem a exist?ncia da intelig?ncia espiritual e sua import?ncia na vida de uma pessoa.

Previous issue date: 2017 / Neste trabalho, Carbon Dots (CDs) obtidos a partir de celulose de algod?o e contendo 4,5 mmol.g-1 de grupos funcionais ?cidos, dos quais 63 % exibiam pKas t?picos de ?cidos carbox?licos foram usados na prepara??o de filmes automontados com os biopol?meros quitosana (QT) e col?geno (CL) a fim de verificar a morfologia, espessura e intera??es moleculares entre os componentes. A quitosana usada apresentou um total de 4,2 mmolg-1 de grupos funcionais -NH2, correspondente a um grau de desacetila??o de ~70 %. Por outro lado, o col?geno hidrolisado apresentou diferentes grupos funcionais com acidez de Br?nsted, t?picos da presen?a de diferentes amino?cidos na estrutura. Todos os filmes finos foram preparados com a t?cnica de deposi??o camada por camada (do ingl?s: Layer-by-layer (LbL)) por meio de imers?o do substrato nas diferentes solu??es. Os materiais foram caracterizados por diferentes t?cnicas, incluindo Microscopia de For?a At?mica, Espectroscopia na regi?o do UV-Vis, Espectroscopia de Resson?ncia de Plasma de Superf?cie e Titula??o Calorim?trica. Em todas as condi??es experimentais utilizadas para o crescimento dos filmes, observou-se um crescimento linear da quantidade de material depositado com o n?mero de imers?es realizadas. No entanto, diferentes condi??es das solu??es dos biopol?meros e da suspens?o de Carbon Dots produziram filmes com espessura e morfologia diferentes. Nos filmes de QT/CDs a quantidade de nanopart?culas depositadas por bicamada, com solu??o de quitosana em pH = 3,5, pH = 5 e pH = 3,5 na presen?a de 0,1 mol/L de NaCl, foram, respectivamente, 11 mg.m-2, 16 mg.m-2 e 24 mg.m-2 sendo as espessuras dos filmes, com 20 bicamadas, correspondentes a estas quantidades foram de 60, 150 e 200 nm. Este resultado ? atribu?do ao aumento da flexibilidade das cadeias polim?ricas dos biopol?meros, as quais est?o menos carregadas. Dessa forma, as cadeias podem apresentar conforma??es mais adequadas para recobrir eficientemente a estrutura das nanopart?culas quase esf?ricas. Al?m disso, o aumento da for?a i?nica da solu??o de Carbon Dots tamb?m contribui para o aumento de material depositado devido ? forma??o de aglomerados sob estas condi??es. Nos filmes de CL/CDs, a quantidade de nanopart?culas depositadas, com solu??o de col?geno em pH = 3,16, pH = 5 e pH = 3,16 na presen?a de 0,1 mol/L de NaCl, foram 2,3 mg.m-2, 6,46 mg.m-2 e 6,41 mg.m-2, respectivamente. No entanto, a energia de intera??o, obtida por calorimetria isot?rmica, ? maior em pH baixo. Em geral, a quantidade de material depositado nos filmes de col?geno ? bem inferior ?s observadas para os filmes de QT/CDs e, consequentemente, filmes com espessuras entre 40 e 50 nm. Al?m disso, n?o foi observada varia??o significativa entre as massas depositadas nestes filmes com o aumento do pH e for?a i?nica. Estes resultados podem estar relacionados ? menor ?carga parcial positiva? sobre as cadeias da prote?na em rela??o a quitosana, observada pelos potenciais zeta nestas condi??es. Por fim, os resultados aqui apresentados sugerem que as estruturas dos filmes, isto ?, morfologia e espessura, podem ser facilmente controladas e reproduzidas manipulando-se as condi??es das solu??es dos biopol?meros, al?m do tradicional n?mero de imers?es. Em adi??o, o estudo pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento de uma nova classe de dispositivos de alto desempenho, como sensores e superf?cies fotoativas. / Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Qu?mica, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2017. / In the present work, Carbon Dots (CDs), obtained from cotton cellulose and containing 4.5 mmol g-1 of acid functional groups, of which 63% exhibited typical pKa?s compared to carboxylic acids, were used in the preparation of self-assembled films with the biopolymers Chitosan (QT) and Collagen (CL) in order to verify the morphology, thickness and molecular interactions among the components. The chitosan used in this work had a total of 4.2 mmol g-1 of functional groups ?NH2, corresponding to a deacetylation degree of ~70%. On the other hand, the hydrolyzed collagen showed different functional groups with Br?nsted acidity typical to the presence of different amino acids in the structure. All the thin films were prepared using the Layer-by-layer method (LbL) by immersing the substrate in different solutions. The materials were characterized by several techniques, such as Atomic Force Microscopy, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Surface Plasmon Resonance and Calorimetric Titration. It was observed, in all experimental conditions for the growth of the films, a linear increase in the amount of deposited material with the number of immersions performed. However, different conditions of the biopolymer solutions produced films with different thickness and morphology. In the films QT/CDs the amount of nanoparticles deposited per bilayer, with the chitosan solution at pH = 3.5, pH = 5 and pH = 3.5 with the presence of 0.1 mol L-1 of NaCl, were, respectively, 11 mg m-2, 16 mg m-2 and 24 mg m-2 with the thickness of the film, at 20 bilayers, at 60, 150 and 200 nm. This result is associated to the increase in the flexibility of the polymeric chains of the biopolymers, which are less charged. Thus, the chains can present conformations that are proper to cover more efficiently the structure of the almost spherical nanoparticles. Furthermore, the increase of the ionic strength of the Carbon Dots solution also contributes to the increase of the material deposited due to the formation of agglomerates in these conditions. In the films CL/CDs, the amount of nanoparticles deposited, with the collagen solution at pH = 3.16, pH = 5 and pH3.16 in the presence of 0.1 mol L-1 of NaCl, were 2.3 mg m-2, 6.46 mg m-2 and 6.41 mg m-2, respectively. However, the interaction energy, obtained by isothermal calorimetry, is higher in low pH. In general, the amount of material deposited on the collagen films is much lower than that observed for the QT/CDs films and, consequently, films thickness are 40 and 50 nm. Besides that, it was not observed any significant variation between the masses deposited in these films with the increase of the pH and the ionic strength. These results may be associated to the lower ?partial positive charge? on the protein chains in relation to the chitosan, observed by the zeta potentials in these conditions. The presented results suggest that the structures of the films, i.e. morphology and thickness, can be easily controlled and reproduced manipulating the conditions of the biopolymer solutions and the number of immersions. Additionally, the study may contribute to the development of a new class of high performance devices, such as sensors and photoactive surfaces.

As intera??es que ocorrem entre a c?lula e a matriz desempenham um papel preponderante na fixa??o celular e migra??o, assim como tamb?m regulam e promovem a diferencia??o celular e a express?o de genes. O controle dessas intera??es celulares ? crucial para grande parte dos processos biol?gicos. As integrinas s?o uma fam?lia de glicoprote?nas transmembranares, que funcionam como os principais receptores metazo?rios para a ades?o celular, desempenhando um papel central em fun??es de suporte f?sico para a transdu??o de sinais, montagem do citoesqueleto de actina, express?o g?nica e fun??es celulares. Estas glicoprote?nas podem se ligar a glicoprote?nas da matriz extracelular, tal como o col?geno, esta liga??o permite a regula??o e integridade da ades?o celular, migra??o celular e resposta imune. Neste sentido, este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma an?lise ab initio da intera??o entre o dom?nio-I da integrina ?2?1 e o col?geno com sequ?ncia GFOGER. A an?lise foi desenvolvida utilizando-se c?lculos de mec?nica qu?ntica, no ?mbito da Teoria do Funcional da Densidade (DFT), com aproxima??es do Gradiente Generalizado (GGA) para descri??o dos efeitos de correla??o e troca. As energias de intera??o entre os res?duos do dom?nio-I ?2 da integrina e os res?duos do col?geno foram calculadas utilizando-se o m?todo de fragmenta??o molecular com capas conjugadas (MFCC). Os resultados encontrados comprovam a import?ncia do ?on met?lico presente na regi?o MIDAS da integrina para a intera??o com a mol?cula do col?geno. A an?lise das energias de intera??o apresentaram os res?duos Glu11, Glu33, Glu55, Arg12, Arg34 e Arg56 da sequ?ncia GFOGER do col?geno, como cruciais para a intera??o com a integrina. J? os res?duos da integrina que demonstraram ser de grande relev?ncia para a intera??o foram a Thr221, Asp219, Asp254 e Glu256. Logo, o conhecimento das peculiaridades que envolvem a intera??o entre a integrina ?2?1 podem auxiliar a compreens?o de eventos ainda n?o totalmente esclarecidos, bem como fornecer dados relevantes sobre os aspectos particulares apresentados em modelos de muta??es. / The extracellular matrix (ECM) of connective tissues is a complex of many members of
several families of proteins that delineate its structural integrity and various physiological
functions. The interactions occurring between the matrix cell and play a key role in cell
attachment and migration, as well as regulate and promote cell differentiation and gene
expression. The control of these cellular interactions is determinative for most biological
processes. Integrins are a family of transmembrane glycoproteins that function as the main
metazoan receptors for cell adhesion plays a central role in a physical support functions for
signal transduction, cytoskeletal actin assembly, gene expression and cell functions. These
glycoproteins may bind to the extracellular matrix glycoproteins such as collagen, this
connection allows adjustment and integrity of cell adhesion, cell migration and immune
response. Thus, this study aims to perform an ab initio analysis of the interaction between the
domain-I integrin ?2?1 and collagen with GFOGER sequence. The analysis was carried out
using quantum mechanical calculations within Density Functional Theory (DFT) with the
Generalized Gradient Approximation (GGA) for describing the exchange and correlation
effects. The energies of interaction between domain-I ?2 integrin residues and collagen
residues were calculated using the Molecular Fragmentation with Conjugated Caps (MFCC).
The results demonstrate the importance of metal ion present in the MIDAS region of the
integrin for interaction with the collagen molecule. The analysis showed the interaction
energies residues Arg12, Glu33, Arg34, Glu55, and Arg56 GFOGER sequence of collagen, as
important to the interaction with the integrin. In the residues of integrin shown to be of great
relevance to the interaction were Thr221, Asp219, Asp254 and Glu256. Moreover, the results
also highlight the importance of changing the conformation of these residues during the
interaction between the proteins. These results can aid understanding of events involving the
interaction between integrin ?2?1 and collagen as well as provide relevant data on special
aspects presented in mutations models.

Osteoporosis is a disease of the bones. It is often called the “silent disease," because someone could have it now or be at-risk without even realizing it. As a result, bones become weak and can break from a minor fall or, in serious cases, even from simple actions, like sneezing or bumping into furniture. Breaking a bone is often the first clue that someone suffers from osteoporosis. The diagnosis of osteoporosis can be made using conventional radiography and by measuring the Bone Mineral Density (BMD). The most popular method of measuring BMD is Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA).
In conventional methods the measurement of bone does not give information about the bone quality but for the bone quantity. A non-invasive method that will have the ability to determine the bone quality is of interest. Such a method will contribute to the prediction or even the prevention of bone malfunction.
In this study, two quality parameters, that are designed to contribute to improved diagnostic methods of osteoporosis, are determined. Those bone quality parameters are the Calcium/Phosphate (Ca/P) and Hydroxyapatite/Collagen (HAp/Col) ratios. The algorithm developed allows us to trace the spectral changes which take place when an x-ray beam passes through filters based on the Lambert and Beer’s law. A large number of filters were applied to spectra so as to obtain pseudo-monoenergetic spectra. The optimum energy pair would derive from two quasi-monoenergetic spectra with sufficient number of photons which will result in the minimization of the Coefficient of Variation (CV) of the aforementioned ratios. Dual Energy x-ray method is used in order to obtain this energy pair. Both Single and Double exposure techniques are used. / Η οστεοπόρωση είναι μια ασθένεια των οστών. Συχνά αποκαλείται ως η «αθόρυβη ασθένεια», καθώς κάποιος δεν αντιλαμβάνεται ότι νοσεί από αυτή. Σαν αποτέλεσμα της ασθένειας αυτής, τα οστά αδυνατίζουν και μπορεί να σπάσουν ακόμα και με ένα πολύ μικρό πέσιμο, ή ακόμα στις πιο σοβαρές περιπτώσεις, ακόμα και με ένα φτέρνισμα ή ένα χτύπημα στα έπιπλα. Η θραύση ενός οστού είναι το πρώτο σύμπτωμα της εμφάνισης της οστεοπόρωσης. Η διάγνωση της οστεοπόρωσης μπορεί να γίνει με τη συμβατική ακτινογραφία και μετρώντας την πυκνότητα των οστικών αλάτων (BMD). Η πιο διαδεδομένη μέθοδος μέτρησης του BMD είναι η DXA.
Στην παρούσα μελέτη, υπολογίστηκαν δύο ποιοτικοί παράμετροι , ο λόγος ασβεστίου-φωσφόρου (Ca/P) και ο λόγος υδροξυαπατίτη- κολλαγόνου (HAp/Col). Πραγματοποιήθηκε αλγόριθμος στον οποίο έγινε χρήση διαφόρων φίλτρων έτσι ώστε να τροποποιηθούν τα φάσματα ακτίνων-Χ και να αποκτηθούν σχεδόν μονοενεργειακά φάσματα. Επιπλέον χρησιμοποιήθηκαν οι τεχνικές μονής και η διπλής έκθεσης.

We embarked on this venture as a chance to understand the presence of Protestant schools, and his ideas on Brazilian soil. Our goal is to promote a reflection which has the axial dimension of the Baptists Protestant education, in time, we will place the debate between 1902-1942. The temporal boundaries of 1902-1942 was because 1902 was when he started the American Baptist College of Recife in 1942 and that ends the cycle of managing directors of Americans. Understand the functionality of time a school is justified when we realize that the history of education is the story of a work of self and formation within a framework that has the school as the main support that can enable a reading of reality. We also intend to examine the school culture brought to Brazil by American missionaries and their applicability in the Brazilian cultural-historical context. And just to demonstrate the hypothesis that the educational contribution of Baptists added to the participation of other Protestants promoted advances in Brazilian society. Possibly taking for granted that the Baptists were in possession of the democratic ideals of religious freedom, taken by many representatives and religious version of the republican regime. In addition to promoting a model in Brazil to make different methodological schools, based on the ideals of new school and ethics of the Bible. Tamb?m pretendemos analisar a cultura escolar trazida ao Brasil pelos mission?rios norte-americanos e sua aplicabilidade no contexto hist?rico-cultural brasileiro, e assim demonstrar a hip?tese de que a contribui??o educacional dos batistas somada ? participa??o dos demais protestantes hist?ricos promoveu avan?os na sociedade brasileira. Possivelmente tendo como pressuposto que os batistas foram portadores dos ideais democr?ticos da liberdade religiosa, tidos por muitos como representantes e vers?o religiosa do regime republicano. Al?m de promover no Brasil um modelo metodol?gico diferenciado de fazer escola, pautado nos ideais da Escola Nova e na ?tica da B?blia. Nossa proposta de pesquisa busca o entendimento de como os mission?rios norte-americanos se fixaram no Brasil e quais foram os prop?sitos de adicionarem aos esfor?os da evangeliza??o a educa??o formal, bin?mio que fundamentou a cria??o de escolas. Vaccination contre les VPH, dépistage du cancer du col utérin et sexualité : connaissances, croyances et comportements des femmes québécoisesKiely, Marilou 17 April 2018 (has links)
L'infection par les VPH est la plus fréquente des infections transmissibles sexuellement et est associée au cancer du col utérin. Un programme de vaccination contre les VPH a été implanté au Québec à l'automne 2008. Cette étude visait à décrire les connaissances et les croyances des résidentes du Québec sur les VPH et leur prévention ainsi que leurs comportements. Près de 1350 femmes de 24 ans ont répondu à une enquête postale. Le score moyen de connaissances était de quatre sur sept. Plus de la moitié des répondantes se disaient insatisfaites des informations reçues sur les VPH. Seulement 5% des participantes avaient reçu le vaccin contre les VPH et 82 % avaient initié le dépistage. Cette étude a permis d'obtenir des données de base auprès d'un échantillon représentatif dans le cadre de l'évaluation du programme de vaccination. Une meilleure transmission d'informations aux femmes sur les VPH semble à renforcer.
