In this direction, the poverty and the educational inequality had been chosen as expressions of analysis to verify of that it forms its logics of action if they reflect in social inaquality. The study it was limited to one determined geographic space, Latin America and to a time, decade of the 90 and first years of 21th Century, moment characterized for structural adjustments in the economies of the region. In the development of this research, it was verified, that, the existing educational inaquality in the region, reflects on the work market generating an disparity of incomes, creating perverse circle around the poverty and of the social inaquality. In sight of this, an instrument capable is had in the reduction of the educational inaquality to promote the reduction of the poverty, and consequently to go of meeting to a society with fairness. / Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar como a desigualdade social se expressa na América Latina, dado que desde seu processo de formação o problema se mantém na região. Nesse sentido, foram escolhidas a pobreza e a desigualdade educacional como expressões de análise para verificar de que forma suas lógicas de ação se refletem em desigualdade social. O estudo foi limitado a um determinado espaço geográfico, América Latina e a um intervalo de tempo década de 90 e os primeiros anos do século XXI, momento caracterizado por ajustes estruturais nas economias da região. No desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, verificou-se, que, a desigualdade educacional existente na região, reflete-se sobre o mercado de trabalho gerando uma disparidade de rendimentos, criando círculo perverso em torno da pobreza e da desigualdade social. Em vista disso, tem-se na redução da desigualdade educacional um instrumento capaz de promover a redução da pobreza, e conseqüentemente ir de encontro a uma sociedade com eqüidade.
