Item's OAI Record identifier: oai:bdtd.ufpa.br:347 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This work describes the historical trajectory of the Companhia Têxtil de Castanhal (CTC), a industry located at the Amazon Region, dedicated to spinning and weaving of the jute fiber, showing how it has standing in face of the jute producing chain in Brazil, sustaining itself in the textile sector for a long time, even in front of many adversities, becoming the national leader in the manufacture of jute products. The period reported in this study was from 1966 to 2006, relating some aspects about the origin and historical and socio-economic points of this kind of natural fiber, with the purpose to fundament a better understanding of the reasons of the founder for the emerging of the Company, the trusteeship of the Pacheco Borges Family, strategies adopted, obstructions, innovations, expansion and market movements. / Retrata a trajetória histórica da Companhia Têxtil de Castanhal (CTC), uma indústria localizada na Amazônia, voltada à fiação e tecelagem de fibras de juta, demonstrando como ela se posicionou frente à cadeia produtiva da juta no Brasil, conseguindo manter-se no setor têxtil por tanto tempo, mesmo diante das adversidades, tornando-se a líder nacional na fabricação de produtos de juta. O período retratado foi de 1966 a 2006, abordando alguns aspectos sobre a origem, questões históricas e socioeconômicas desse tipo de fibra natural, com o propósito de alicerçar um melhor entendimento sobre as razões do fundador para o surgimento da Companhia, a gestão da familia Pacheco Borges, estratégias adotadas, entraves, inovações, expansão e movimento no mercado.

A articulação teórica e conceitual, que fundamentou a interpretação das transformações na Zona Bragantina, coloca-se numa perspectiva crítica, cujas concepções tratam das categorias como elementos dinâmicos, portanto inseridos num contexto histórico-materialista. Critica as interpretações que atribuíram ao campesinato a responsabilidade pela degradação ambiental, pelas crises de abastecimento do Pará e pela produção agrícola frequentemente designada como decadente, estas sempre colocando o campo em relação à cidade. Observaram-se a ocupação da Bragantina e sua expansão, as transformações por que passou a estrada de Bragança e a contribuição dos núcleos produtores engendrados pelas colônias. Em que pese o caráter excludente das ações do governo imperial, na fase republicana o campesinato passou por processos de transformação social, cuja perspectiva crítica o recoloca na história como responsável por parte do abastecimento da Amazônia. Em função do encurtamento do período de pousio, os camponeses engendraram uma mudança técnica que evidencia sua sensibilidade aos mercados. Assim, a produção de gêneros alimentícios diversos, e também de produtos para a agroindústria, fundamentou seus processos reprodutivos, orientados não só para o atendimento das necessidades da unidade familiar, mas também para o atendimento das demandas do mercado. Constatou-se que a Zona Bragantina, em que pese ter recebido investimentos capitalistas, ainda configura-se como uma fronteira camponesa, e, em última análise, o argumento da decadência pode ser substituído pela diversidade. / Historically constituted by free workers who had occupied the territory nearby Bragança, the bragantino peasantry contributed for the supplying of commercial circuits and developed industrial activities in Para. The theoretical and conceptual articulation that based the interpretation of transformations on the Zona Bragantina is placed in a critical perspective, whose conceptions deal with categories as dynamic elements, therefore inserted in a historical and materialist perspective. It criticizes the interpretations on the responsibility attributed to the peasantry for the ambient degradation, Para’s supplying crisis and for the agricultural production frequently assigned as declining, always placing the field in relation to the city. Bragantina’s occupation and expansion was observed, as well as the transformations which passed the road of Bragança and the contribution of producing nuclei created by the colonies. Even though the excluding character of the imperial government actions, during the republican phase the peasantry passed through social transformation processes, whose critical perspective put it back in history as responsible for part of Amazonia’s supplying. In consequence of the shortening of fallow period, the peasants made a technical change that evidences its sensitivity to the markets. Thus, the production of diverse foodstuffs and other products for the agro industry based its reproductive processes, guided not only for the attendance of family needs but also for the attendance of market demands. In conclusion, the Zona Bragantina, although has been received capitalists investments, still configures itself which a peasant frontier and, ultimately, the declining argument would be replaced by diversity.

The performativity argues that the line between theory and practice is thinner than it is thought, i. e., that in certain circumstances, the economic theory do not only describe the world, but it can influence it, it can make the agents change their behavior to conform to its predictions. For this, using the Keynes-Tinbergen debate as a background, we sought for evidence that showed the performative effects of the adoption of econometric methods onto the canon of the economic theory, once that studies showed performative effects with models used in the financial market. We conclude that, by the evaluation of the debate, its conclusion made possible emerge an econometric theory that, consequentially, could have performative effects in the economy. / Este trabalho teve como objetivo, por meio de uma reconstrução da história da econometria, envolvendo modelos do ciclo econômico, introduzir o conceito de performatividade à análise das doutrinas econômicas. A performatividade argumenta que a linha entre teoria e prática é muito mais tênue do que se imagina, isto é, de que em certas circunstâncias, a teoria econômica não apenas descreve o mundo, mas pode influenciá-lo, pode fazer com que os agentes modifiquem seu comportamento para se adequar às previsões da teoria. Para tal, utilizou-se como pano de fundo o debate Keynes-Tinbergen, buscou-se encontrar evidências que houve efeitos de performatividade na adoção de métodos econométricos ao cânone da teoria econômica, uma vez que estudos indicaram que certos níveis de performatividade ocorreram com modelos utilizados no mercado financeiro. Concluiu-se, pela avaliação do debate, que o desfecho possibilitou uma teoria da econometria que viria a se tornar dominante e, consequentemente, uma candidata a ter efeitos performativos na economia.

Taking into account Given the need to achieve the proposed objectives, this study reviews the literature on external vulnerability, changes in the capitalist system, and the BRICS performance profile. The methodology is based on the indicators proposed by Filgueiras and Gonçalves (2007) and with statistical significance, especially in Kaminsky, Lizondo and Reinhart (1998), Chinn and Ito (2006), Loayza and Raddatz (2007) and Hausmann et al. (2011). This paper seeks to contribute to the literature on structural external vulnerability in Brazil in a comparative perspective during a period favorable to its economic growth. / O presente estudo tem como finalidade analisar a dinâmica da vulnerabilidade externa estrutural brasileira em perspectiva comparada aos demais países do conjunto BRICS (Brasil, Rússia, Índia, China e África do Sul) no período do clico de alta dos preços das commodities, de 2003 a 2012. Tendo em vista a necessidade de alcançar os objetivos propostos, este estudo faz uma revisão da literatura sobre a vulnerabilidade externa, mudanças no sistema capitalista, além do perfil desempenho dos BRICS. A metodologia é fundamentada nos indicadores propostos por Filgueiras e Gonçalves (2007) e que mostram significância estatística, sobretudo, em Kaminsky, Lizondo e Reinhart (1998), Chinn e Ito (2006), Loayza e Raddatz (2007) e Hausmann et al. (2011). Este trabalho busca trazer uma contribuição à literatura sobre a vulnerabilidade externa estrutural no Brasil em perspectiva comparada ao longo de um período favorável ao seu crescimento econômico.

La tesi approfondisce il complesso rapporto tra diritto, religione e sanità nella realtà americana, concentrandosi in particolare sulle problematiche scaturenti dall’orientamento religioso del paziente, del care provider e della struttura sanitaria. La prima sezione si propone di studiare, sempre in chiave giuridica, l’evoluzione del rapporto tra fede e medicina, presentando altresì due casi di studio: i nativi americani e christian science. Nella seconda sezione, invece, si ricostruiscono le linee interpretative essenziali del primo emendamento con specifico approfondimento tanto della Free exercise clause che dalla establishment clause. Parimenti, viene tracciato un disegno di sintesi del sistema sanitario americano, soffermandosi tanto sugli aspetti pubblicistici che su quelli privatistici dello stesso. La ricerca, poi, si sofferma sull’analisi dettagliata delle problematiche evidenziate dalla giurisprudenza americana con riferimento al care receiver, al care provider e, soprattutto, al contenzioso in materia pediatrica. L’ultima parte è dedicata allo sviluppo di due distinti filoni, ovvero: il rapporto tra scienza e diritto ed il ruolo dell’economia. Questo ultimo aspetto viene approfondito sotto due diversi punti di vista. In primo luogo si ricostruisce l’impatto economico delle policy che garantiscono la libertà religiosa sul “sistema sanità”. In secondo luogo, si approfondisce il tema dell’influenza del dato economico sullo sviluppo della libertà religiosa in ambito sanitario. / This work deals with the complex relationship between law, religion and the sanitary system in the U.S. setting, by focusing on the problems emerging from the religious view of the patient, of the care provider and the religious orientation of the hospital or HMO. The first section of the work aims to study, from a legal point of view, the evolution of the relationship “medicine-religion”, and focuses on two case studies: native Americans and Christian science. In the second section the essential interpretative streamlines about the first amendment are presented, through a deep analysis of the Free Exercise Clause and of the Establishment Clause. At the same time, the American (U.S.) sanitary system is deeply studied both in the private sector and the public one. The research then focuses on a detailed analysis of the jurisprudence related to the care provider and the care receiver, while a specific section is dedicated to the litigation concerning pediatric patients and the related litigation cases. The last part develops two different subjects: the relationship between science and law, and the role of economy. This last subject is deeply analyzed under two different points of view: the economic impact of the religious freedom on the “sanitary system” on the one hand; and the influence of the economic data on the development of religious freedom in the health care system setting on the other.
