A graphical traffic scenario editing and evaluation software

Carpatorea, Iulian Nicolae January 2012 (has links)
An interactive tool is developed for the purpose of rapid exploration ofdiverse traffic scenario. The focus is on rapidity of design and evaluation rather thenon physical realism. Core aspects are the ability to define the essential elements fora traffic scenario such as a road network and vehicles. Cubic Bezier curves are usedto design the roads and vehicle trajectory. A prediction algorithm is used to visualizevehicle future poses and collisions and thus provide means for evaluation of saidscenario. Such a program was created using C++ with the help of Qt libraries.

Graphical Editor for Diagnostic Method Development

Ravi, Sudharshan, Vu, Quang January 2014 (has links)
The adage A picture is worth a thousand words conveys the notion that acomplex concept can be understood with just a single picture. Thus visualisingdata allows users to absorb and use large amounts of data quickly.Although textual programming is widely used, it is not best suited for allsituations. Some of these situations require a graphical way to programdata. This thesis investigates the dierent modeling frameworks available withinthe Eclipse ecosystem that allow the reuse of existing XML schema modelsand the creation as well as editing of diagnostic methods. The chosenframeworks were used to build a graphical editor that allows users to create, edit and use diagnostic methods graphically.

The Object-Oriented Database Editor

Coats, Sidney M. (Sidney Mark) 12 1900 (has links)
Because of an interest in object-oriented database systems, designers have created systems to store and manipulate specific sets of abstract data types that belong to the real world environment they represent. Unfortunately, the advantage of these systems is also a disadvantage since no single object-oriented database system can be used for all applications. This paper describes an object-oriented database management system called the Object-oriented Database Editor (ODE) which overcomes this disadvantage by allowing designers to create and execute an object-oriented database that represents any type of environment and then to store it and simulate that environment. As conditions within the environment change, the designer can use ODE to alter that environment without loss of data. ODE provides a flexible environment for the user; it is efficient; and it can run on a personal computer.

Efficiency of a Scenario Editor for Connectivity Between Virtual Military Combat Systems / Effektivitet av en scenarioredigerare för kontakt mellan virtuella militära stridsledningssystem

Mellberg, Tobias, Vilhelmsson, Liam January 2019 (has links)
Today people spend a lot of time trying to complete software-related assignments. Poorly designed software can waste both time and resources needed to complete a task. It is therefore important to have efficient ways to complete these tasks. The Swedish Defence Research Agency, also known as FOI has developed software to calculate whether simulated units in the terrain have radio contact or not. In the current approach the employees manu-ally writes scenario files which contains information about the contact. However, these sce-nario files quickly become very large and difficult to work with. A possible solution to this issue is creating a scenario editor where the user can use an interface to create information about the contact between the units. This thesis suggests a Military Combat System Scenario Editor (MCSSE) which is compared to writing scenario files manually. The comparison is made by first performing a number of tasks with both applications. The applications thereafter evaluated using a metric called Minimal Actions Performed (MAP) which is defined for this comparison. The thesis also suggests appropriate tasks for evaluating the applications using an iterative method consisting of meetings with an expert with specified questions. By using the MAP metric, the application can be evaluated and the results show that the MCSSE is on average 66% more efficient than the current approach.

Motivy autoregulace českých novinářů při rutinním profesním rozhodování / Self-regulation Motives of Czech Journalists along with Routine Professional Decision

Malá, Kateřina January 2008 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Self-regulation Motives of Czech Journalists along with Routine Professional Decision" deals with regulators which show up in daily pofessional work of journalists at present, i.e. in period when this diploma thesis was written. Motives and influences of each regulator are examined in sample of three nationwide publishers - Mlada fronta Dnes, Pravo and Lidove noviny. Sixteen journalists participated in this survey, which was made in period from March, 16th 2008 to May, 5th 2008. This work is focused on Codes of Conduct (Codes of Ethics) of the surveyed publishers and explores their effects on professional manners of each editor. Furthermore, this diploma thesis is also about journalists personal professional limits which work as personal self-regulators. It investigates what is excusable for editors and what is not, within the survey. This diploma thesis answers on question which regulators influence editors and how editors react. In conclusion this work also deals with self-regulation aspects, if they are considered important by editors or not. This diploma thesis compares results among the above mentioned surveyed publishers as well as within the hierarchy of each publisher.

Návrh editoru typových štítků / Design of nameplates editor

Svoboda, Filip January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the problematics of type labels, used for marking of products in series production. The research part of the thesis deals with the issues of the used label media and label printing. The issue of content and design of labels is analyzed. The result of thesis is a graphic editor for designing labels and their translation into ZPL II. This language is mainly used by Zebra Technologies printers, which are very common used in industry.

Nástroj pro návrh čipu v UML / Tool for Chip Design in UML

Srna, Pavol January 2010 (has links)
This paper deals with the creation of the tool for chip design in UML. The intention of this work is to present the news in the UML language version 2.0, that can be possibly used for modeling of embedded systems. Furthermore, it deals with the possibility and method of modeling in the Eclipse environment and it focuses on the Eclipse Modeling Framework. This work explains the principle of developing of graphical editors based on GMF used fully by developing tool. Finally, it discusses the chosen solution.

Design Better Content Development Process for SCAP Standards / Design Better Content Development Process for SCAP Standards

Beňas, Petr January 2013 (has links)

Systém pro tvorbu 3D modelů budov z půdorysů / System for Modelling of 3D Buildings from Floor Plans

Jurka, Zdeněk January 2012 (has links)
This work deals with description and design of application for generating 3D building models from floor plans and their publication on the Internet. First chapter describes methods used for floor plans creation. Next part describes how are foor plans transformed into three-dimensional model. Following chapters describes implementation details concerning application used for creation of building floor plan and three-dimensional model generation. Work also covers implementation of web based application for viewing models in web browser. Final chapters sums up results and limitations of described solution. There are also discussed possible extensions of current project.
