Livet efter stroke : En kvalitativ litteraturöversikt

Sörin, Emilia, Thelander, Annie January 2020 (has links)
Background: Stroke is a term for two acute states of diseases: cerebral haemorrhage and cerebral infarction. Stroke is a common disease and the risk of having a stroke increases with bad living habits and age. Time is a crucial factor when it comes to the treatment of stroke and to reduce the consequences of stroke. For a nurse it is important to understand difficulties that arise after stroke. Aim: To describe experiences in everyday life of adults affected by stroke. Method: A literature review performed with an inductive approach consisting of thirteen qualitative articles that have been analysed according to Friberg’s analysis description in five steps. Result: The end result showed that experiences exist in different dimensions: physical, mental, social and existential. These dimensions are closely connected and affect everyday life for adults affected by stroke. Conclusion: Everyday life and self-care are dramatically affected when the person is affected by stroke. As a nurse, it is fundamental to have a holistic view of the affected person in order to create an understanding of post-stroke experiences and to enable a good and effective care.

Parental guidance in occupational therapy: Promoting the participation of children with autism spectrum disorder in everyday life activities - a scoping review

Enroth, Petra January 2021 (has links)
Abstract   Aim This study aimed to determine what is known from the existing literature about parental guidance during occupational therapy to promote the participation of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in everyday activities. Method  The scoping review methodology was used to gather existing information on the topic. The following databases were used for searches: The Allied and Complementary Medicine Database (AMED), Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and MEDLINE.  Results Ten studies were included in this study, as they met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the selected studies were thematically organised. Three key elements emerged from the results that promoted the participation of children with ASD in everyday life activities: increased knowledge and awareness of parents; new practices and changes in everyday life; supporting and strengthening parenting.  Conclusion  The findings of this study suggest that parents have a central role to play in promoting child participation. Parental guidance is an ideal way to promote the participation of ASD children in everyday activities, as parents are involved in children’s daily lives and influence children’s natural environments. The results of this study can be utilized in occupational therapy practice for the implementation of interventions. Keywords: ASD, children with ASD, daily activities, involvement, occupational therapy, parental guidance

Dynamika každodenního života v dialogu s Emmanuelem Lévinasem / Dynamics of Everyday Life in Dialogue with Emmanuel Lévinas

Jandová, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
The main objective of this research is to look at the topic of everyday life from a dynamic perspective. The definition of everyday life that this thesis stands upon, i.e. the presence of a subject in the world with the other(s) outlines also two main sources of its dynamics: the world and the other. The essential aim of this thesis is to show that the different attitudes towards the world and the other in the works of Husserl and Lévinas consequently influence the understanding of the everyday life as such, as well as the requirements it imposes upon the subject. The chapter dedicated to Husserl presents his concept of the world as a horizon, the irreplaceable position of perception in our access to the world and the creation of the other within the subject itself. On the contrary, Lévinas stresses the separation of the subject and he understands the world and the other as inherently belonging to this never-ending process. The motive of dependence and responsibility of the subject for the other belongs to the most significant differences between the two philosophers. Whereas Husserl proposes us a subject in the world which he accesses via perception and in which he encounters the other, Lévinas shows us subject that is born to the pre-reflexive and intersubjective world from which he first has to...

Dělníci autorského práva. Agentura DILIA v období tzv. normalizace ve vzpomínkách tehdejších zaměstnanců / Copyright workers. The agency DILIA during the time of so-called normalization in memories of its employees

Burman, Markéta January 2019 (has links)
In this thesis, I present Dilia, the Theater and Literary Agency, at the time of so-called normalization from the perspective of its employees. On the basis of available documentation, the organization's history from the beginning of 1949 until 1990 (a time of revolutionary societal changes) is mapped. Then I describe the organizational structure and different scope of work of each department and afterwards I turn back to the history again, this time with the focus on historical events, especially during the time of so-called normalization. I present the events as they were related to corresponding changes in directorship. In this thesis, I discover on the background of the era how the former employees recall their everyday life. I recall the employees' recollections of everyday life, working and private, in the context of the era. These recollections include forced membership in social organizations. Ultimately, they assess their their lives the vantage of today.

Finding Presence of the Absent : To those who are soon forgotten

Liljebäck, Emelie January 2020 (has links)
This paper concerns the ordinary stories. It is about the forgotten and the things that have gone unnoticed. It is about female history and is a political exploration into what and who is allowed to take space. I focus on everyday life in a domestic space, where I see these things that are discarded, often are overlooked and not talked about. I explore society from a kitchen point of view with a grandmother’s life in focus. It is a story about everyday rituals in the home, which are of an important cultural deed. The objects support her in these rituals, and they also help me to tell. I investigate the memorial space and with my artistic practice I create a room to remember those who are soon no longer with us. In this project I work within the craft-field of corpus. I use the tradition of corpus as a method of working but also as a tool to discuss my subject. As corpus is talking about class and hierarchies it creates a counterweight to my project.

Att komplettera matematikläroböckerna : En kunskapsöversikt för att synliggöra hur matematikläroböckerna kan kompletteras för att utveckla matematisk förståelse

Swerre, Erica, Törnros, Beatrice, Friman, Max January 2021 (has links)
Mathematics is a large part of our everyday life. Mathematics teaching today, is largely influenced by mathematics textbooks and are abstract, and does not contribute to long-term useful knowledge. Teachers testify that students mathematical understanding is low. Because of this, the aim of this research is to examine how the mathematic teaching has to change to make the students achieve this. Mathematical understanding is closely associated with meaning making. Meaning making is about seeing the usefulness of mathematics, as a useful tool for the individual and the citizen of society that can be used to solve everyday problems.      This is a knowledge overview. The result data consist of eight scientific articles that were collected from a research database. The articles were themed and reviewed to be able to answer our question. Our main focus for the conclusion is primary school.   The result shows that mathematic textbooks have to be seen as a resource that needs to be supplemented to achieve mathematical understanding. The teaching has to become everyday connected, experience-based and interdisciplinary, where the teacher is taking a responsible leading role, instead of being an intermediary of the mathematical content. The working method concrete - pictorial - abstract (CPA), starts with the concrete and work towards the abstract. Through teaching with CPA and manipulatives, befriends the student´s mathematical understanding. The key point is to make the connection between the concrete everyday life, and the abstract textbook.

Producing and Consuming the nation: ethnography of a Czech National Memorial

Maurano Filho, Sander Roberto January 2012 (has links)
Sander Roberto Maurano Filho Producing and Consuming the Nation: Ethnography of a Czech National Memorial Abstract Following a research agenda stimulated by Billig (1995), Palmer (1998) and Fox (2008) towards the study of aspects of everyday life through which nations are reproduced, this work approaches the National Memorial on Vítkov Hill, part of the Czech National Museum in Prague. In order to investigate to what extend national cultural productions constrain people's practices and understandings, this research offers an ethnographic study of the production and consumption of the monument, considering practices of consumption and occupation that reproduce, subvert or negotiate its national content and colossal planning. The National Memorial on Vítkov Hill combines memorial, museum, statue and park, which had their meanings re-negotiated by different political regimes during the 20th century. Re-opened in 2009 aiming to 'make sense' of national history, identity and memory in the context of a new, democratic and European Czech Republic, the monument combines official ceremonies, such as military parades and presidential rituals, with permanent and temporary exhibitions with national functions. Although planned to celebrate the nation, exhibitions are consumed by visitors that distort the national...

”Det är lite som att handla smågodis” : En undersökning om var vuxna läsare hittar sina boktips / ”It’s a bit like buying pick’n mix” : A study about where adult readers find their book tips

Hermansson, Jessica January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate how readers go about selecting fiction in their everyday life. The aims are to get information on where readers get their information regarding which books to read in their everyday life, which sources they use and why they use those sources. The study focuses on readers who are 18+ and that practice leisure reading in their everyday life. The research questions are: What sources do adult readers use to find book tips? How do grown up readers describe and motivate the sources they use to find book tips? The methodology used is qualitative semi-structured interviews with eight adult readers. The theoretical framework used in the study comes from Kirsty Williamson’s theory of the role of incidental information acquisition in regards to the everyday life information needs and seeking. The results of the study show that the majority of the participating readers’ sources for their everyday life information seeking align with earlier studies. From the perspective of Williamson’s theory readers use sources such as family and friends which are categorized as intimate personal networks, social media, blogs and book clubs which falls under broader personal networks, mass media such as news paper, hash tags, TV and internet, and institutional sources such as the library and book shops.
