A pesquisa demonstrou ser possível estas atitudes quando a escola elabora projetos pedagógicos nesta perspectiva, superando as diferenças individuais visando um projeto comum.<br> / Abstract : This dissertation is based on the critical perspective that defends the non-neutraly of technologies in the cybercritical approach supported by Rudiger and it tries a supported pedagogical practice in media education to promote a critical and creative appropriation of TIC in education, such as content and as a pedagogical tool. Critical training can be guided by attitudes such as authorship and cooperation promoted by social networks and creative projects mediated by the teacher, based on the Media-Education, as a proposal for overcoming of the pedagogy of transmission. The research intends to identify factors and circumstances (which can promote) to the development of authorship and cooperation in educational activity on Facebook. This is a case study with participant observation of a Facebook appropriation experience (study group) in the preparation of high school graduate students for ENEM exams in 2015, held in a basic education public state school of Santa Catarina, located in the town of Leoberto Leal. From data collection (questionnaires and published contents), a research instrument was used whose purpose was to select and define indicators for the concepts of authorship and cooperation from the theoretical framework, and develops metrics (evidences) for content analysis the communicative exchanges between students and teachers. The results show that use social networks, conserving the logical contents and repeating textbook models, reducing the student participation just I looking, listening, coping and doing, will no form critical citizens immersed in digital culture. There were critical reflection about the posted contents, but most students have not reached the level of full authorship to produce and share something new or an innovative content creation. The research shows that is possible to create attitudes as the school prepares educational projects in this perspective, overcoming individual differences toward a common project.

To share or not to share : A qualitative interview study of sharing on FacebookKyhle, Hanna January 2016 (has links)
This Master’s thesis aims to examine how study participants reason about what they share on Facebook in order to create a deeper understanding of motivations behind sharing. Another aim is to investigate what role credibility assessments have in sharing. The previous research on information sharing and Facebook is limited. To investigate these issues, qualitative semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 participants aged 20–35. Toanalyze the interviews, qualitative content analysis was used. The themes that emerged were:motivations behind sharing, what is shared, audience, professional/private, discussion and credibility assessments. The results showed that the participants’ main motivations to share something were to either influence others or to strengthen their own identity on Facebook. The clearest result is that all participants state that it is important to them that they stand for what they share. What the participants share is also strongly linked to why they share –mainly they share political posts. Most participants say that they primarily have their closes tfriends in mind when sharing. Credibility is also linked to other themes. Credibility in many cases is one of the criteria that determine what participants choose to share. The participants also said that they generally rely more on what people they know well post or share.

The Perception of Risk Messages through Facebook during Severe Weather EventsHaarstad, Nigel January 2012 (has links)
This study used computer-mediated focus groups to investigate how college students perceive risk messages about severe weather that are communicated through Facebook. The results of this study found that perceptions of risk were consistent with many factors outlined by the Risk Perception Model, developed by Covello, Peters, Wojtecki, & Hyde (2001). Despite this, communication using Facebook requires additional factors to be considered. The model should be amended to differentiate between the different levels of trust that influence perceptions on Facebook. The tone of the message becomes a factor separate from the previously established factors of risk perception. These findings stem from the perception among college students that Facebook is a platform meant for entertainment and socializing. These implications lead to many practical considerations that risk communicators can use to increase the perception of risk during severe-weather events in order to encourage individuals to take action to protect lives and property.

The Predictability of Facebook Memorial Page Participation on GriefGrote, Colleen 01 January 2018 (has links)
As the world's largest social networking site, Facebook, continues to grow in popularity, it is imperative for counselors and counselor educators to better understand how online environments impact all facets of life, including death. Grief behaviors on Facebook have been a focus of scholars since the launch of the social networking site in 2004. Researchers have demonstrated that Facebook memorial pages have a significant impact on the social and cultural practices related to death and memorialization for Facebook users. However, despite a rapid rise in research related to online mourning, researchers have yet been able to establish the potential risk or benefit of engaging in online memorial pages and continuing bonds with the deceased. The purpose of this study was to increase understanding of the relationship between participation in Facebook memorial pages and grief symptom severity and persistence for adults living in the United States who have experienced the death loss of a friend or family member since 2009. The continuing bonds theory was used to guide the foundation of this study and interpret findings. Using online survey methods, data was collected from 225 Facebook users. Results of a multiple regression revealed no relationship between Facebook memorial page participation and grief severity but demonstrated a statistically significant relationship between Facebook memorial page participation and grief persistence. These findings are crucial to aiding social change related to an expansion of counselor awareness of the cultural implications of online mourning and the influence virtual mourning may have on appropriate diagnosis of grief related disorders.
