Bača, Michal January 2015 (has links)
This term project deals with digital forensic analysis of web browsers. The first chapters describe the process of forensic analysis, methodologies and procedures used, and also the issues of analysis of web browsers. In particular, the types of information browser stores and security problems that comes with that. Theoretical and practical procedure for obtaining data from Mozilla Firefox web browser was based on the theoretical foundations described in previous chapters. Common linux tools and application created as part of this thesis are used in process of collecting digital evidence. A detailed investigation of interoperability for web services

Wright, Madeleine January 2006 (has links)
The thesis presents a qualitative survey of web services' interoperability, offering a snapshot of development and trends at the end of 2005. It starts by examining the beginnings of web services in earlier distributed computing and middleware technologies, determining the distance from these approaches evident in current web-services architectures. It establishes a working definition of web services, examining the protocols that now seek to define it and the extent to which they contribute to its most crucial feature, interoperability. The thesis then considers the REST approach to web services as being in a class of its own, concluding that this approach to interoperable distributed computing is not only the simplest but also the most interoperable. It looks briefly at interoperability issues raised by technologies in the wider arena of Service Oriented Architecture. The chapter on protocols is complemented by a chapter that validates the qualitative findings by examining web services in practice. These have been implemented by a variety of toolkits and on different platforms. Included in the study is a preliminary examination of JAX-WS, the replacement for JAX-RPC, which is still under development. Although the main language of implementation is Java, the study includes services in C# and PHP and one implementation of a client using a Firefox extension. The study concludes that different forms of web service may co-exist with earlier middleware technologies. While remaining aware that there are still pitfalls that might yet derail the movement towards greater interoperability, the conclusion sounds an optimistic note that recent cooperation between different vendors may yet result in a solution that achieves interoperability through core web-service standards.

Browser Wars : Kampen om webbläsarmarknaden

Högström, Andreas, Pettersson, Emil January 2010 (has links)
The first browser war took place during the second half the 1990s, and Internet Explorer cameout as the winner over Netscape Navigator. Today a new browser war is being fought withmany competitors and the future is uncertain. The purpose of the thesis is to find out how theweb browser market has developed since the start of the previous conflict, and we ask ourselveshow it will continue to develop in the future. This is accomplished with, among otherthings, interviews, tests and already existing statistics. The thesis' conclusions shows that theweb browser market has developed in a positive way from several perspectives, both for theusers as well as for the web developers. The conclusions also show that the web browser market'sfuture looks stable and indicate a probability that the browser war will transition into anormal, healthy market situation with several competitors. The first browser war took place during the second half the 1990s, and Internet Explorer cameout as the winner over Netscape Navigator. Analýza a vylepšování aplikací pro prohlížeče na základě trendů užívání. / Browser extensions analysis based on usage trends and their improvements

Marek, Lukáš January 2013 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the topic of browser extensions, their environment and analysis. The goal is to describe the extensions environment, online Webstores, that offers extensions and to show best practices for analysis and optimization of its extensions and their assets. Within the thesis you can find very precise analysis of online Webstores for Google Chrome extensions and Mozilla Firefox add-ons. Conclusions are made based on this analysis that include special characteristics of the previously mentioned browsers. The master thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical parts deals with the description of the browser extensions environment and it presents specific characteristics about online Webstores and browser extensions to the reader. In the practical part the thesis is focused on objectives set by the thesis and it presents the results of the Webstore analysis and description of the universal Google Analytics solution that helps developers to analyze their extensions The thesis contributes to the topic mainly with the precise description of the browser Webstores and extensions environment, best practices and recommendations and by creating the universal Google Analytics solutions for the developers.

WhatsApp Forensics: Locating Artifacts in Web and Desktop Clients

Nicolas Villacis Vukadinovic (6623858) 14 May 2019 (has links)
WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging application worldwide. Since 2016, users can send and receive messages through desktop clients, either through the WhatsApp desktop application or the web client accessible from supported web browsers. The author identified a gap in the literature in terms of WhatsApp forensics for desktop and web clients. The aim of the study was to locate forensic artifacts on WhatsApp clients. These clients included the desktop application on both Windows and Mac operating systems. Chrome and Firefox web clients were also analyzed for the Windows operating system, as well as Chrome and Safari web clients on the Mac operating system. A WhatsApp log file was identified as the main artifact providing information throughout all clients analyzed. Cached profile pictures were also found, as well as history information about visited websites and ran applications.

Analýza realitního trhu pomocí informací na Internetu / Analysis of real estate market using information on Internet

Bulín, Martin January 2017 (has links)
This thesis was created as a helping tool to estimate the price of properties by comparative method, which needs a database of properties. This database is created by a program. The main aim of this thesis is to create an application in Python language, which will search through contents of websites of a chosen real estate portal in Czech Republic. The next aim of this thesis is to create program which will search for real estate according to chosen criteria. The purpose of these criteria is to compare and estimate the price of properties. In the theoretical part of this thesis I will describe data mining and architecture of data mining. In the practical part I will design an aplication and in the end I will implement it. This aplication will go through websites and obtain data about real estate offices, their advertisements and photos of advertisements. For easier work with the output file that contains the advertisements, I created an application for searching individual advertisements based on users specification. This program allows to quickly search for the requested data from the output file. These data are subject to further work, it is possible to analyse them and create interesting statistics and maps.
