Although we are in 21st century, we still face the threat of fire. Some serious fires happen all over the world frequently. For the location of Taiwan, there are many natural disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, landslides and mudflows on Taiwan recently. The fireman plays an important role to protect the human being and their properties at the disaster scence, so the job involvement and organizational citizenship behavior of fireman make a decisive influence on the performance of rescue activities. The station officer is the soul of the fire brigade, his leadership style influence the performance of firemen deeply. In the study, I make the subject how the leadership styles influence follower`s job involvement and organizational citizenship behavior, the group cohesion and personality as the moderating variances. The fire brigade of Kaohsiung as the survey object, through the questionnaire and statistic analysis, I try to treat how the leadership style influence the follower`s job involvement and organizational citizenship behavior, and give some suggestions to the fire department, in the study indicate that: 1. A significant positive correlation was identified among leadership styles and job involvement; the inspirational motivation has positive influence on follower`s job involvement. 2. A significant positive correlation was identified among leadership styles, altruism, courtesy, civic virtue and conscientiousness; the idealized influence was positive influence on altruism, the intellectual stimulation was positive influence on courtesy, civic virtue and conscientiousness. 3. The internal-external personality was found to have no significant moderating effect among leadership styles, job involvement and organizational citizenship behavior. 4. The group cohesion was found to have a significant moderating effect among relationship of inspirational motivation and job involvement, 5. The group cohesion was found to have a significant moderating effect among relationships of individual consideration and organizational citizenship behavior.

Thesis's Topic: Analysis of the activities at the Regional Fire and Rescue Service in Hradec Kralove region. Aim of the thesis: Analysis of the activities of the fire brigade in Hradec Kralove region for some period. Method: Searches of available sources, data's collection and collaboration with professional firefighters of the Fire and Rescue Service in Hradec Kralove. Title: Analysis of work at heights and above free depth at the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and civilian sector Objectives: Describe the current status of work at height in the civilian sector and the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and compare work at height in the areas: legal regulations, qualification levels, training courses, training centers and equipment. Analyze the height interventions of FRS CR in 2016-2018. Methods: Data collection from internal staff, study of available literature and subsequent research. Comparison of the current situation in given aspects. The analyzes were divided according to the types of interventions, which were given the frequency, location and time distribution in the given years. Results: The results of the diploma thesis are a description of the current state of work at heights and above clear depth for civilian high- altitude and firefighters of the Czech Fire Rescue Service and an analysis of height and above depth interventions at units of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic in 2016, 2017 and 2018. 根據台灣省社會處調查發現，本省近七成五的民眾沒有參加志願服務。因此，不管是政府或是民間各個社會服務單位，應加強宣導擴大民眾參與志願服務的管道。 　　由於警察機關因法定組織、人事編制無法任意擴充，經費亦受限制，以致無論在功能、規模、結構及程序，皆不易隨時調整。因此，警察必須尋求其它解決之辦法，最有效之方法即開發民間豐沛民力，加入警察工作陣營中。 　　選擇義勇消防大隊為研究對象，一方面對義消人員辛苦奉獻、無怨無悔之精神，致上最崇高敬意外，另外藉由檢視義消大隊之組織運作情況，發現其優缺點，以作為其他機關參考或借鏡之用。 　　本研究之論文章節安排如下： 　　第一章、緒論：說明本研究動機與目的、問題之形成、研究範圍與研究方法、限制、研究流程及章節的安排。 　　第二章、文獻探討：共分成三部分－公務機關運用義工之理論探討、警民合作之相關理論以及人力資源發展之相關理論分析。 　　第三章、台北市義勇消防大隊之組織及運作：透過多方管道所蒐集到有關義消大隊之義工組織沿革、運用之法源基礎、組織目標等人力資源相關內容之歸納整理。此外，並蒐集有關之服務記錄資料，以了解義消組織運作之成效。 　　第四章、台北市義勇消防大隊運作成效探討：藉由深入訪談之結果以及義工問卷之分析，評估義消組織運作之成效。 　　第五章、結論與建議：綜合理論與實務之探討，說明研究之發現，並歸納整理實務界人士之建議，最後試著對未來之研究方向有所期待。

This diploma thesis is focusing on the posttraumatic growth in professional fire fighters. The theoretical part deals with models of the posttraumatic growth and factors which affect this process. Another constituent of the work is a treatise about psychological aspects of the fire fighter job execution. One section of the work, the empirical section, is based on the Czech version of a questionnaire method called "Posttraumatic Growth Inventory ". It is a questionnaire that discovers the level of achieved posttraumatic growth in 5 areas; personal strength, new possibilities, relating to others, appreciation of life and spiritual change. The research sample that consisted of 100 professional firemen verified the relationship between the posttraumatic growth and other aspects of respondents' lives. The research showed following discovery. The marital status, the fact if the respondent has a family, the time which passed since experiencing a difficult incident, the subjectively perceived intensity of an event, the level of distress, psychological well-being, behaviour of type A, cognitive resilience of an individual, strategy of bearing the burden of "negative view", "the concentration on a problem" and "the mineralization of threats" is not connected with the grade of obtained posttraumatic growth....

I am interesting in culture in sudetenland. I was researching if there is any new folklore, and i tried to mediate a culture for people, who are living here. I am plannig to make a multimedial art instalation.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the stress factors and burnout, particularly in ambulance firefighters. In the theoretical section provides basic information on the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the specifics of their work and are also given information regarding stress, posttraumatic stress disorder , burnout and psychological services to the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. This is complemented by the findings of other states. The practical part is focused on the processing and evaluation of a questionnaire survey to map the most important factors of stress and burnout among staff of the Fire Rescue Corps of the Karlovy Vary Region and the Central Region.

Our company uses more and more chemical substances. A lot of dangerous chemical substances and formulation, that are used by construction, or they are commonly used as products for our consumption, must be also stocked and must be transported into stock, factories and operation. Averages related to escape of dangerous substances represent huge hazards, that may threaten health and lifes of people, their property, or they can have negative impact on environment. I will adduce amount of stocked dangerous substances in Central Bohemia //Středočeský kraj// per year 2007 as a proof of a huge amount of injurants around us. In this work I will make analysis of the most often stocked and transported chemical substances (amonia, chlorine, hydrogen cyanide). I want to clarify hazards and mainly possible after-effects on health of citizens and on environment, that could start in case of averages with this substances. I will make an analysis of accessible sources (print news, evaluating reports, process case researches, possibilities of resolution of exceptional events, relief and account//liquidation// work) and I will compare them with processed accident and crisis documentation. In this work I would like to emphasize mainly reactions on possible average. I will create model situations with escape of dangerous substances through transportation and through stocking with possible reactions on them. I will use software tool Terex for their evaluation. I will appoint immediate acquisition //arrangements//, relief and account work on a basis of these model situations that must be carried out immediately after escape of dangerous substances and also following acquisition, either short time or long time. At the same time I will suggest preventive acquisition to lower the probability of rise of exceptional events with escape of dangerous substances.

This theoretical-empirical thesis discusses an issue of burnout among members of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech republic. The focus of theoretical part is given to the burnout syndrome, it's definition, risk factors, possible causes, it's gradual phases and diagnostic and measuring methods of the burnout syndrome. Further, the theses deals with possibilities of treatment of a burnout and preventive actions that could be taken on both sites of each employee and the organization. This is followed by a closer acquaintance of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech republic, it's history, mission and basic competences. Afterwards, a profession of professional firefighter is described. Possible causes and preventive measures against the burnout syndrome at the Fire Brigade are examined. In the empirical part of this thesis the burnout syndrome among members of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech republic is investigated through questionnaires and personal interviews. At this point the thesis focuses on outbound firefighters and operational technicians with the aim to detect possible differences in incidences between those two groups and possible causes of the burnout syndrome among them. Further the aim is to assess the efficiency of the Psychological Services of the Fire Brigade and its preventive measures taken against work-related stress and burnout.

A fire station is a building where not too many things happen. But the few that do are either too forgettable or too memorable. This thesis tries to achieve time, innovation and realism. There's a redundancy in this building, in people's actions that makes it memorable. This building is the evidence of my way of thinking architecture. It reflects my memory as student and architect. It shows an undeniable background. It's questioning why buildings don't endure in time, why they are disposable objects. I'm trying to find reasons to make a building respectful, socially involved with its surroundings. The project is a midsize fire station. It answers to an actual necessity to relocate the existing fire station on Prince St. (Alexandria, VA) giving more space for firefighters and better access for two trucks. The new site is an existing parking lot that crosses a whole block from South Washington St. to South Columbus St. between Wilkes St. and Wolfe St. This site gave me the possibility to create a building where trucks can access and leave it without turning or maneuvering too much. / Master of Architecture
