Le récit de création de Genèse 1,1–2,4a – récit d’introduction de la Bible hébraïque – n’a jamais cessé d’animer et de stimuler les esprits et a laissé une forte empreinte sur la culture populaire. En effet, malgré son histoire millénaire et sa pluie de commentaires, ce récit continue, encore de nos jours, à susciter des discussions et des débats sur des enjeux toujours plus pointus et complexes. Dans la foulée, l’objectif général de ce mémoire est de dégager et d’examiner une des dimensions moins explorées de ce récit, à savoir ses vestiges de royauté (divine) et, par extension, leur possible reconfiguration sacerdotale à la période postexilique.
Pour y parvenir, des méthodes littéraires et historiques, notamment l’analyse narrative et l’histoire comparée, seront mises à profit tout au long du mémoire. Il s’agira, d’abord, d’investiguer la caractérisation du roi YHWH dans certains psaumes (Ps 47; 74; 89; 104). Ces premiers éléments de l’étude serviront de comparatif pour la suite de l’enquête. Je procéderai par la suite à l’excavation de traces de la royauté divine en Genèse 1, le récit phare de ce mémoire. Finalement, les deux derniers chapitres me permettront d’insister, d’une part, sur la contextualisation historique postexilique de cet écrit, en particulier l’influence sacerdotale, et d’autre part, de dégager les principaux éléments de la caractérisation « royale » d’Elohim en Gn 1, en soulignant toute l’originalité de leur configuration sacerdotale par rapport aux Psaumes. / The creation story of Genesis 1.1–2.4a – the introductory story of the Hebrew Bible – has never ceased to captivate and thus left a strong imprint on popular culture. Despite its millennial history and its multitude of commentaries, this story continues, even today, to spark discussions and debates on ever more specific and complex issues. The general objective of this dissertation is to examine a rarely explored dimension of this narrative, namely the traces of (divine) kingship found in its midst and the potential priestly reconfiguration of this royal dimension in the postexilic period.
To do so, literary and historical methods, including narrative criticism and comparative history, will be used throughout the dissertation. First, I will investigate the characterization of king YHWH in various psalms (Ps 47; 74; 89; 104). The rest of the investigation will build on these first steps of the study. I will then proceed to excavate traces and remains of divine kingship in Genesis 1. The last two chapters will allow me, on the one hand, to address the historical context of this text, in the post-exilic period, as well as the important priestly influence on Gen 1; on the other, to identify the main elements of the "royal" characterization of Elohim in Gen 1 while highlighting and acknowledging their priestly revitalization when compared to the Psalms.

Designing for the incorporation of programming in mathematical education : Programming as an instrument for mathematical problem solvingBorg, Andreas January 2021 (has links)
This study explored Swedish upper secondary school students’ use of programming for mathematical purposes. The aim of the study was to investigate the process through which students learn how to use a programming environment as a technical artefact during mathematical problem solving and how the orchestration of such learning situations could facilitate this process. In order to study the students’ use of the programming environment, design-based research was used as the main methodological approach. The design involved the development of specific mathematical tasks to be tried out with students, as well as the orchestration of the learning situation within the classroom e.g., by preparing scaffolding to be offered to the students. The subsequent implementation of the design was analysed so that, in accordance with the cyclic approach of design-based research, it could be revised ahead of the following design cycle. The study involved two complete design cycles. In the study, the Instrumental Approach was used as the theoretical framework and the instrumental genesis of the students in using a programming environment for mathematical purposes was thus of special interest. In order to analyse this process and the associated mental schemes developed by the students, Vergnaud’s concept of scheme served as an analytical framework. The findings revealed how the students, despite having basic knowledge in programming, experienced several difficulties when trying to use the programming environment as a technical mathematical artefact. These difficulties were related both to the fact that the mathematical affordances offered by the programming environment were unclear to many of the students, as well as to the handling of more specific computational concepts such as nested loops. força destrutiva na humanidade e nas sociedades de todas as épocas. O violar e
o corromper parecem ser traços constantes na vida social, desde suas formas
mais expressivas até as mais sutis. Este trabalho adentra o texto de Gn 4,1-16,
buscando compreender nele o drama de Caim que não consegue viver a
fraternidade com seu irmão. Caim está presente, ao longo de gerações e no
imaginário popular, como presença arquetípica do conflito do ser humano com o
seu semelhante. Este personagem carrega em si o simbolismo das forças violentas
e de suas consequências quando se permite que essas forças dominem sobre as
ações. Por isso, sua figura perpassa o tempo, em sua sina, vagando errante em
cada indivíduo confrontado com seus limites e seus impulsos. Conhecer os relatos
bíblicos e seus significados permite aprofundar a própria história humana e suas
relações com o sagrado e com o profano. Buscar as raízes significativas destes
relatos é contribuir com um comunicativo canal capaz de trazer, para o homem
hodierno, a sagrada sabedoria do antigo Israel, em seus paradigmas e em seus
paradoxos. Desse modo, a investigação visa perceber quais são as forças motrizes
que geraram a ação violenta no personagem de Caim, elucidando, assim, aspectos
da origem da violência presente no ser humano. / [en] Just a watchful eye to realize the impulse to violence that acts as a destructive force in mankind and in society from all ages. Violating and corrupting seem to be constant traits in the social life, from their most expressive aspects to the most subtle ones. This paper enters into Genesis text, Gn 4,1-16, seeking to understand Cain s drama in which he cannot live fraternity with his brother. Cain is present throughout generations and in popular belief, as an archetypal presence of the conflict of the human being with his equal. This character brings in himself the symbolism of the violent forces and of its consequences when he allows these forces dominate over the actions. Therefore, his image permeates time in his fate, wandering vagrant in every person confronted with its limits and impulses. Getting to know the Biblical accounts and their meanings allows deepen the human history and their relations with the sacred and the profane. Seek for the significant roots of these Biblical accounts is to contribute with a meaningful channel capable of bringing, to the contemporary s man, the sacred wisdom of the ancient Israel, on its paradigms and paradoxes. Thereby, the investigation aim is to realize what are the driving forces that cause that violent reaction in Cain s character, elucidating, thus, aspects of the violence present in the human being.

Genesis ist ein Buch von Familiengeschichten, welche durchgehend von Konflikten geprägt sind. Insbesondere gilt dies für Rivalitäten zwischen Brüdern. Häufige Vertauschungsepisoden und weitere Katalysatoren entfachen Konflikte, die die familiäre Kontinuität stets gefährden. Die Geschwisterriva-litäten wurden in der Forschung ausgiebig behandelt, doch die Analyse verbindender und wiederkeh-render literarischer Motive zwischen den Erzählungen wurde bisher nicht ausreichend erforscht. Daher untersucht die vorliegende Studie drei Hauptrivalitäten zwischen Brüdern in ihren literarischen Verbindungen: Kain und Abel, Jakob und Esau sowie Josef und seine Brüdern. Dabei werden beson-ders die Abschnitte analysiert, die den Ausgangspunkt, die Eskalation und die Auflösung dieser Kon-flikte behandeln. Als Ergebnis der Studie werden lexikalische und thematische Motive, sowie Motive im Handlungsverlauf zwischen den Erzählungen erarbeitet. Die beschriebenen Motive stellen ein dicht verwobenes literarisches Netzwerk zwischen den Erzählungen dar. Sie zeigen einen narrativen Span-nungsbogen auf, der vom urgeschichtlichen Brudermord zur Bruder-Vergebung geht und sich im Verlauf stets am Rande eines Brudermords bewegt

Frequent episodes of reversals and other catalysts ignite conflicts which continually endanger family continuity. Although sibling rivalry has been extensively addressed by the academic research, the analysis of interconnected and recurrent literary motifs among the stories has not yet been sufficiently explored. Therefore, the present study investigates the literary connections among three principal rivalries: Cain and Abel, Jacob and Esau and Joseph and his brothers. This includes, in particular, the analysis of those texts which deal with the origin, escalation and resolution of these conflicts. As a result of this study, lexical and thematic motifs, as well as motifs of plot development among the stories are worked out. These motifs present a tightly interwoven narrative network among the stories. From the end of the 19th century, the Old Czech apocryphal story of Joseph (son of Jacob), called Life of Joseph, has not been in the center of the scholars' and editors' attention, and therefore many pivotal philological questions concerning this Old Czech composition have not been satisfactory solved yet. This thesis offers a comprehensive analysis of the Old Czech Life of Joseph in terms of textual criticism and literary history and attempts to bring answers to the main problems of its contextualization. The six extant medieval manuscripts of the Life of Joseph, representing the inherent part of the thesis, are provided with critical edition. The Old Czech Life of Joseph is a late medieval work of an anonymous author and should be dated to the second half or to the end of the 14th century. It is based on a Latin model, namely Historia Ioseph, which was composed in the year 1336 by the Spanish Dominican Alfonso Buenhombre (Alphonsus Bonihominis). The Czech Life of Joseph is the unique vernacular translation of Alfonso's Latin text. This Latin text has not been broadly disseminated. I am aware of the existence of 14 manuscripts, six of which originated in Bohemia and represent the specific Bohemian manuscript branch. The purpose of this study was to present an analysis of the belief systems of the worldviews behind the religions of Christianity and African Traditional Religion with a view toward aiding the Christian church in African help its converts from African Traditional Religion to hold a biblical worldview in the areas where the biblical and traditional African worldviews conflict. The two worldviews were analyzed, and compared using the philosophical elements of a worldview and the religious dimensions of how a worldview is lived out in culture.
Genesis 1-11 of the Christian Bible was used as the basis for the biblical or Christian worldview. The Christian believes that the Bible is God's inspired word to mankind and that what is recorded in Genesis 1-11 gives God's answers to the basic philosophical questions that make up a worldview. Therefore, Christian philosophy and the Christian worldview are postulated on God's special revelation as recorded in the Bible. The African worldview is based upon the sayings and traditions of the elders as received from the ancestors. The traditional African believes in the trustworthiness of the ancestors as strongly as the Christian believes in the trustworthiness of the Bible. When an African converts from African Traditional Religion to Christianity he encounters a conflict of beliefs in certain philosophical elements of his worldview.
Upon the conviction that beliefs determine practice, unless the African convert to Christianity changes his beliefs he will not change his practice, and syncretism will be the result. After analyzing the two worldviews, the areas of conflict in beliefs were presented with recommendations for bringing the African Christian's worldview beliefs into conformity with the Christian worldview. / Religious Studies and Arabic / D.Litt. et Phil.
