O uso da termociclagem na avaliação da absorção, solubilidade, dureza e alteração de cor de reembasadores resilientes /Mancuso, Daniela Nardi. January 2008 (has links)
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate absorption, solubility, hardness and colour change of 4 soft liners after thermocycling. A resin base (Trusoft) and three silicone base (Dentusil, Ufi Gel P e Ufi Gel SC) were used on this research. A total of eighty samples were manufactured: forty for absorption and solubility test and forty for both hardness and colour change tests. All samples were subjected to 2000 hours of thermocycling. Dentusil showed the following values: Shore A hardness (40.50), colour change (ΔE=0.83), absorption (0.30) and solubility (0.01). Trusoft, on the other hand, showed the following values: Shore A hardness (18.50), colour change (ΔE=3.92), absorption (1.48) and solubility (1.26). Both UfiGel P and SC showed similar results for all three tests. All properties are linked and as big is the initial hardness, small will be both absorption and solubility and consequently small will be the colour change. / Doutor

A research on the matching rate of foreign health caring labors - take K international labor agency for exampleLin, I-chi 31 July 2012 (has links)
According to the lower birth rate and more mature demographic structure, our society is facing the problem about aging of population. The market need for long term care is getting more and more obvious in recent years, and especially the atmosphere to hire the foreign care assistant is quite common and widely-spread in Taiwan. Also by viewing the statistic survey, it is pretty obvious to know that the number about foreign worker who were imported into Taiwan is increasing year by year in a quite significant way. However the processes and paper work are with great complicated, so most of the people who have the demand of foreign care assistant will tend to apply through the international humanity agency. Then the original motive of our research is from the prospect of the agency to elevate its value of their service. Therefore at the very beginning we will focus on the related factors which influence the rate of match, and then we will go deeper to explore the more specific cause which has the relevant connection with the foreign workers¡¦ job satisfaction. In addition, we conclude that there were two significant dimensions which might influence the job satisfaction, and then they are the relationship between employer and employee, and the other dimension is about the qualification of the workers to meet the requirement and the characteristic of caring job.
This thesis will utilize some questionnaires which include: performance, job satisfaction, leader-member exchange relationship, empathy, hardness and social personality. This Research used the foreign health care assistants working in Taiwan from Indonesia as samples to do the actual research. We gave out 100 questionnaires in total, and collected 93 effective. And we used SPSS statistic software to analyses the relation between every parameter. The result of study is found as follows:
1. The match rate will be demonstrated by the performance which received by the employer.
2. The Job satisfaction will influence the performance as care assistants.
3. The Job satisfaction will be influenced by the leader-member exchange relationship, empathy and social personality tendency.

Multi-Scale Indentation Hardness Testing; A Correlation and ModelBennett, Damon W. 20 January 2010 (has links)
This thesis presents the research results of a correlation and model based on nano
and macroindentation hardness measurements. The materials used to develop and test
the correlation include bulk tantalum and O1 tool steel. Following the literature review
and a detailed description of the experimental techniques, the results of the
nanoindentation hardness measurements are presented. After applying the methods and
correlation recommended here, the results should give an accurate value of hardness in
the Vickers scale for microstructural features that are too small to be precisely and
exclusively measured using the traditional macroindentation hardness technique. The
phenomena and influential factors in nanoindentation hardness testing are also discussed.
These phenomena and theories are consistent with the microstructural behavior predicted
in the Nix and Gao model for mechanism-based strain gradients. Implementing the
correlation factors and/or correlation curve, accurate results can be found for metals over
a broad hardness range. Initially, this research may impact the pipeline division of the
petroleum industry by providing a correlation to the Vickers scale for nanoindentation testing of microstructural features. This thesis may also provide a research methodology
to develop hardness correlations for materials other than metals.
This thesis consists of eight chapters. Following an introduction in Chapter I, the
research motivations and objectives are highlighted in Chapter II. Chapter III explains
the multi-scale indentation techniques used in this thesis and Chapter IV presents the
materials preparation techniques used. Then, the results are presented in Chapter V,
followed by the factors affecting nanoindentation hardness in Chapter VI. Finally,
Chapters VII and VIII reveal the indentation contact analysis, correlation, and
conclusions of this research, respectively.

Study on the surface modification of steel by a novel electrical discharge coating methodLIU, YEN-HSIAO 10 September 2008 (has links)
In this dissertation, an electrical discharge coating uses an isolated sleeve to form a closed space between the end surface of electrode and the work to deposit a thin film onto a substrate. The discharge occurs at the location where the two surfaces are closest and the dielectric fluid ionizes at this location to create a path for the discharge. Hence, this closed space is heated to extremely high temperature, so that a small portion of the work surface is suddenly melted with the particles in the dielectric fluid and then coated to increase its coating speed and quality. The electrode material is made of brass, the work material SKD11, and the dielectric fluid is kerosene with the WC powder concentration of 50g/L. The pulse-on and pulse-off times are 25 and 500£gs, respectively. The effects of supply voltage, electrical discharge coating time, electrical discharge gap, and powder added cycle on the coating characteristics are investigated.
According to the experimental results, the electrical discharge with isolated sleeve can achieve a complete coating layer onto the surface of work. The coating thickness increases with increasing electrical discharge coating time and gap as the supply voltage is larger than the threshold voltage of electrical discharge. At the supply voltage below 250V and the added powder cycle less than 10, the coating thickness increases with increasing supply voltage and cycle. The quality of coating layer is better at the low gap distance and the high supply voltage. The hardness of coating layer is about HV 1687 which is approximately 5 times of substrate hardness using micro-hardness test. The electrical discharge without isolated sleeve cannot achieve the above-mentioned advantages.
