The epistemologic reflections of Paul Veyne are fundamentally rooted in history. An Historian who keeps a constant dialogue with the human sciences, Veyne approaches classical and current themes so important to history, such as cause and effect, intrigue, method, theory, conceptualization, scince, and historical knowledge progress. In this research, we will show four texts of Veynian epistemology: Como se escreve a história (1971), a vast eruditon work, in which Veyne is concerned with the problems of the narrative and the relation that history establishes with the human sciences; A história conceitual (1974) explores the conceptualization of events in order to avoid the historical narrative ; O inventário das diferenças: história e sociologia (1976) announced at the opening lecture at College de France, which focuses on the relationship between sociology and history, establishing certain theoretical dispositives for historical research; and Foucault revoluciona a história (1978), which discusses the contributions of Michel Foucault to history. After introducing the epistemology of Veyne, we will discuss certain aspects of his thought with the philosophy of Michael Foucault, Marxism, and hermeneutica. Finally, we will analyse the reception of his work in Brazil through selected comments and works exclusively dedicated to his epistemology.

On this dissertation, we pervade the historiographical production of Alice Piffer Canabrava (1911-2003) from the major concerns of History of Historiography. We privilege the period comprehended between 1935, the year of Canabrava‘s join in the Geography and History‘s graduation on the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters (FFCL) of São Paulo University (USP), and, 1961, the foundation year of the Higher Education Professores on History Association (APUH), in the FFCL of Marília-SP. We have tried to comprehend Alice Piffer Canabrava‘s Writing History trough the notion of Michel De Certeau‘s historiographical operation. The Canabrava‘s formative place, which is, the several Chairs‘ classes of the V sub section on Geography and History of II Sciences section of USP‘s FFCL during the period in which she was a student, between 1935 and 1937, helped us to comprehend her choices and historiographical practices, like her notions of History and Document, as well as a long term mobilization knowledge: the vidalian Geography. We also have demarcated the 1946‘s competition for the American Civilization History as the focal point of Alice Canabrava‘s intellectual trajectory, once after having been deprecated on this event, settled down on the Faculty of Administration and Economics Sciences, founded in the same year. This new place provided her aids to incorporate Economics on her historiographical production. We expect that this work can contribute to the comprehension of a special moment the History of Historiography: the constitution of university historiographical production

Important events in Brazil s history took place in these forty years, in which Reale played a key role as both politician and intellectual. We present his political-ideological trajectory during these decades, which involved his participation in the Brazilian Integralist Action (AIB) party; the Vargas administration; the Progressive Social Party (PSP); and his contribution to the coup d état of 1964. We also examine his notions of history and state in his Integralist and post-Integralist phases. Last of all, we examine how in his pre-1964 writings Reale misrepresents class conflicts by referring to them as social chaos, and how after the coup he calls for revolutionary institutionalization, with the legitimization of political repression and wage cuts. This is, in short, an immanent critique of his writing, in J. Chasin s terms, in an attempt to understand the internal connections that inform his ideological output as a whole / O objetivo desta dissertação é compreender o desenvolvimento do ideário de Miguel Reale (1910-2006) entre o início da década de 1930 e final da década de 1960.

França, Lincoln Menezes de [UNESP] 19 February 2010 (has links) (PDF)

For Hegel, it is possible that freedom and reason take effectiveness. But that possibility is only effective starting from the perspective of the speculative thought. In the development of his thought, Hegel recognized that the true freedom cannot be imposed, but executed, starting from a ontological conception founded in the accomplishment of the idea that is Spirit. That systematic Hegel's conception bases the old philosophy of the history, characterizing the History while manifestation of the Spirit. For Hegel, the World History has as need the overcome of the exteriority of the time, which expresses in the fixed determinations of the spirits of the people. In his Lessons on the Philosophy of the World History, Hegel traces a historical process in which the Spirit grows in the accomplishment of its truth, of the liberty and of the reason, in the overcoming of the contingent determinations of the people, and each historical-universal people serves to the accomplishment of the Spirit of the World in its rational and free self recognition, being the Germanic World the culminating moment of that historical development in which the Spirit is picked up in itself, overcoming the exteriority of the time, accomplishing the perfectibility of God, in a theodicy in which the World History overcomes the whole finiteness, in the spiritual self-determination. In this work, we discussed Hegel's motivations for the foundation of his matured philosophy of history, undertaking a synthetic study concerning his philosophical system, looking for the choice of the Germanic World, and not other period of the World History would carry with himself, for Hegel, the task of expressing in the world the rational and free idea in its recognition

A História no pensamento heideggeriano de Ser e Tempo / History in Heidegger s Thought in Being and Time

Strake, Sílvia Cristina Salvan 10 November 2006 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-27T17:27:17Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 FIL - Silvia Cristina S Strake.pdf: 674639 bytes, checksum: 502bc5379adce8d3e5650852bd62eb34 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2006-11-10 / This study intends to present historicity [or historicality] as discussed in the work Being and Time by Martin Heidegger. We understand that this author presents an original discussion about the meaning of history in opposition to the conceptions developed by the Historicism. In order to do so we described the considerations presented in Heidegger s thoughts in 1927, which reinforce his overcoming the epistemological approach and proposing the ontological understanding of history. According to him, the comprehension of what history means should not be defined by the attempts to establish it as a science, but an ontological comprehension of history is revealed by describing the fundamental human condition as Dasein. Based upon daily human existence Heidegger inquiries the significance of history, namely the mode-of-being of history - called historicity [historicality]. We tried to accomplish the exposition of the mode-of-being of history by means of the fundamental elements description as inserted in the Analytics of Dasein, because these elements (being-with-others, temporality, understanding, care, being-towards-death, state-of-mind, etc), along with the description of the phenomenologic-hermeneutical methodology, bring into light the original ontological perspective by Heidegger s thoughts to discuss the problem of history / O presente estudo pretende explicitar a historicidade discutida na obra Ser e Tempo de Martin Heidegger.
