This study aim to shine light on the conditions for prison inmate. The goal of this study is to follow development within an institution, and then mainly within the Vita Briggen in Karlskrona, to see how the care of the prisoners and their conditions have changed throughout the ages. The purpose of this study is to see how the punishments of the prisoners have been humanized and give a picture of how it was to be a prisoner inside an institution. This study focuses mainly on the development of education for inmates, starting in Bible reading, which led to today's opportunities to get an education within the institution.

In this study I describe the persons who got the most publicity in media during womens football European Championship in 1984. The aim of this study is to examine what the persons are saying about the social structures in the Swedish football family in 1984 and what social actions they did to the raise of womens football. The persons that I focus on is Anette Börjesson, Pia Sundhage, Ulf Lyfors, Ann Jansson, Anna Svenjeby and Lena Videkull. The connection between these people are that they were all part of the successful Swedish national team that become historical when they won the first official womens European Championship in football 1984. I examine what the persons has to say in the Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet. I relate my results to the theories that Britt Marie Ringfjord is presenting in her book “Fotboll är livet – En medieetnografisk studie om fotbollstjejer och TV-sport” about social structures and social actions. My result is that it was a clear social structure in the womens football in the year of 1984. During the girls childhood it was the boys who decided if the girls were allowed to play football in the school playground, or not. Even when the girls become older it was clear that they didn’t have same possibilities as the boys, because they didn’t have as much organized teams to play in as the boys had. When the girls became women they didn’t get paid as the men did and they didn’t played in front of as much spectators as the men. My study also show that the women not did play football for the fame or the money, because it was not much fame or money in womens football. They played football because they loved to do it and to be with friends.

The nineteen nighties were a decade marked by shifting political landscapes, a troublesome economy, and ideological changes. Historiography and the common stance on history also changed due to the above mentioned factors and the end of the Cold War. All of these factors contributed to the fall of Sweden’s state-owned monopoly on television, which in turn changed television viewing habits. History was once again at the forefront of social debates; however, it was at the same time not prioritized within the school’s curriculum Lpo94. This study aims to investigate the usage of history in two fictional youth series that aired in Sweden during this time; Pip-Larssons (1998) and En Ö I Havet (2003). Furthermore, this study compares the history used in these series to the history that was being taught in the, relatively, new curriculum Lpo94. To accomplish this a qualitative analysis of the two series contents is being used to put the material in relation to Klas-Göran Karlsson’s typology of different uses of history. Of his seven different categories this study focuses on the moral use and the political-pedagogical use of history. The study found that history was being used in these television programs both from a politically-pedagogically perspective and from the moral perspective.

Att bli förälder innebär stora förändringar i människors liv, förändringar som för många personer kan vara omvälvande. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur svenska småbarnsföräldrar mår och upplever sin livssituation. Femton föräldrar intervjuades och skattade sin känsla av sammanhang med hjälp av KASAM-enkäten. Genom tematisk analys blev det tydligt att deltagarnas upplevelse var mestadels positiv även om den kantades av känslor av stress och i vissa fall psykisk ohälsa. Möjlighet till avlastning hade inverkan på deltagarnas välmående vilket blev tydligt då deltagarna med möjlighet till egentid fick aningen högre resultat på KASAM än de övriga föräldrarna. Deltagarna upplevde även att bilden av föräldraskap i sociala medier inte stämmer överens med verkligheten och att mer lättillgänglig information för nyblivna föräldrar behövs. Förhoppningen är att denna studie ska leda till mer kunskap om föräldrars mående för att på sikt öka gruppens välbefinnande. Denna studie undersöker fyra mellanstadielärares syn på grammatik. De fyra lärarna är behöriga i ämnet svenska, och intervjuerna rymmer utöver lärarnas syn på grammatik även frågor om hur de säger sig undervisa i grammatik och vilket syfte grammatikundervisning fyller. Analysen av lärarnas svar har utgått från Ivaničs (2004) skrivdiskurser, men analysmodellen är bearbetad för att vara tillämpbar på grammatikundervisning. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att den diskurs som utgår från en formalistisk syn på språk och undervisning – färdighetsdiskursen – är vanligast förekommande för lärarna i studien. Ingen lärare positionerar sig enbart inom den diskursen, utan alla lärare positionerar sig inom minst en av de andra diskurserna som analysen utgår från: kreativitetsdiskursen respektive samhällsdiskursen. Till skillnad från den formalistiska diskursens språk- och undervisningssyn, som går från delar till helhet, har de funktionella diskurserna en språk- och undervisningssyn som går från helhet till delar. Trots en läroplan med övergripande funktionell språksyn visar resultatet att den formalistiska språksynen fortfarande är vanligt förekommande och att de ofta ger uttryck för att undervisningen sker isolerat.

In this paper we will investigate sustainable events. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of how thoughtful Goteborg & Co work socially and ecologically sustainable with their events. What will be investigated is what positive and negative effects that can occur with events based on the two sustainability aspects. Through in-depth interviews we have gained an idea of the organizers' role in sustainability. The theories underlying the investigation have touched on sustainability concepts in events, ISO 20121, and strategies for achieving sustainable events. The empirical material is based on deep interviews with selected respondents from environmental management as well as Goteborg & Co. Further in the analysis and conclusion we have come to the conclusion that sustainability is extremely important. Organizers are working on sustainability in their events, partly because it promotes the marketing concept and partly to reduce environmental impact by raising awareness among visitors to think more sustainable. The authors conclude that the organizers are on track but that there is still sustainability work that the events need to improve. We have also noted that both small and large festivals should invest more in working sustainably to achieve sustainable long-term success.
