Konvertor gramatik pro JetBrains MPS / Grammar to JetBrains MPS Convertor

Vysoký, Přemysl January 2016 (has links)
JetBrains MPS is a language workbench focusing on domain-specific languages. Unlike many other language workbenches and IDEs, it uses a projectional editor for code. The developer directly manipulates the program in its tree form (AST) and not by editing a text source code. This brings many advantages, but on the other hand requires time-consuming and complicated MPS language definition. The thesis elaborates on the possibility of automating the process of creating MPS language definition from its grammar description. It introduces the MPS editor, evaluates approaches of related projects and describes author's efforts to implement an MPS plugin that allows this import. The chosen approach and the selection of tools used for implementation are justified in the thesis. We point out important problems that any similar project might deal with and we introduce some possible solutions. Furthermore, the thesis contains examples of imported languages, showing the potency of the chosen approach. The thesis also aims to lay groundwork for future extensions and suggest possible improvements.

Investigation of the Glutaredoxin system with the biogenesis of mitochondrial intermembrane space proteins

Tran, Peter January 2016 (has links)
Mitochondrial protein biogenesis depends on the import of nucleus-encoded precursors from the cytosol. Import is highly regulated and specific for different subcompartments, with intermembrane space (IMS) import driven by an oxidative mechanism on conserved cysteine residues. Oxidative folding in the IMS is facilitated by the mitochondria import and assembly (MIA) pathway. Proteins can only be imported into the IMS in Cys-reduced unfolded forms, as oxidation prevents translocation into the IMS. How the import-competent forms are maintained in the cytoplasm is lesser characterised compared to the MIA pathway. Two recent studies suggest that the cytosolic Thioredoxin (Trx) and Glutaredoxin (Grx) reductase systems play a role in facilitating IMS protein import, with previous evidence identifying a role for yeast Trxs in small Tim protein biogenesis. In this study, the redox properties of the yeast Trx and Grx systems were investigated, as well as whether the yeast Grx system play a role in the biogenesis of two typical types of IMS precursor proteins. First, in vitro studies were carried out to determine the standard redox potentials (E°’) of the Trx and Grx enzymes. This was a quantifiable parameter of reducing activity and the results were described in Chapter 3. This study determined the E°’Trx1 value, which was shown to be a more effective reductant compared to other orthologs. Experimental limitations prevented the Grx system E°’ values being determined. Next, whether the Grx plays a role in the biogenesis of the CX3C motif-containing small Tim proteins were investigated using yeast genetic in vivo and biochemical analysis methods. The results were described in Chapter 4. There, Grxs were observed to not affect cell growth, but in using overexpressed Tim9 as an import model, significant differences were observed for the Grx system as GRX deletion significantly decreased overexpressed Tim9 levels. Study on the isolated mitochondria and cytosol with overexpressed Tim9 was unclear however. This study also observed a genetic interaction between GRX andYME1 that recovered cell functioning under respiratory conditions. Finally, whether the Grx system plays a role in the biogenesis of CX9C motif-containing proteins (Mia40, Mia40C and Cox17) was studied in Chapter 5. Whilst Mia40C (C-domain of Mia40) and Cox17 are imported into mitochondria via the MIA pathway, the full-length Mia40 is a substrate of the presequence-targeted TIM23 pathway. The results indicated that import of the full-length Mia40 was unaffected by GRX deletion. However, studies of an overexpressed Mia40C as a substrate of the MIA pathway, showed strong mitochondrial protein level decreases caused by deletion of the Grx proteins. This decrease was also accompanied by an accumulation of unimported Mia40C in the cytosol. Cox17 as an alternative MIA pathway substrate also showed decreased mitochondrial levels in the GRX deletion mutants. These results altogether suggest that the cytosolic Grx system can function in the biogenesis of CX9C motif-containing IMS proteins imported through the MIA pathway, as well as the CX3C small Tim proteins. The topic of how IMS proteins are degraded in the cell was also raised by the study of Yme1.

Analyzing the relationship between the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Lesotho and manufacturing: 1997to 2007

Mota, Likese Angelinah January 2009 (has links)
Magister Scientiae - MSc / The study draws on secondary data from the Bureau of Statistics in Lesotho. Simple and multiple linear regression models techniques are used to analyze the relationship between the GDP of Lesotho and the GDP of manufacturing. The secondary data is analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Excel. The major finding is that there exists a strong positive linear relationship ( r = 0.986) between the GDP of Lesotho and the GDP of manufacturing. This means that every time the GDP of manufacturing increases the GDP of Lesotho does the same. Based on this finding, the study recommends that in order to improve, sustain and maintain the economic growth and to avoid further deterioration in the manufacturing industry, the manufacturing capacity must be strengthened for it to effectively deal with growing competition and rapid economic changes. / South Africa

Exchange rate pass-through to domestic prices in South Africa

Chiparawasha, Francis January 2015 (has links)
Magister Commercii - MCom / This mini-thesis examines the speed and magnitude of exchange rate pass-through to domestic prices in South Africa. The shift from fixed exchange rate regimes to a system of floating exchange rates by many countries after the collapse of the Bretton Woods system increased the role of the exchange rate in the determination of inflation. In theory, exchange rate depreciation causes inflation via a process called exchange rate pass-through (ERPT). The effect of exchange rate variations on inflation is of special interest to policy makers especially for countries under inflation targeting regimes. The knowledge of the speed and magnitude of ERPT to domestic inflation (import, producer and consumer inflation) is important in the designing of an optimal monetary policy mix which is needed to ensure price stability. South Africa is one of the countries that moved to an inflation targeting regime under a system of a floating exchange rate. This study therefore aims to empirically determine the speed and magnitude of ERPT to domestic prices in the short run and long run using VAR and VEC models. The empirical results show that ERPT to import prices is immediate and moderately high reaching a peak of about 45% and 47% within three quarters for the VAR and VEC models respectively. In contrast, ERPT to producer and consumer prices is gradual and low. For instance, long-run ERPT is below 30% for producer prices and around 20% for consumer prices. Moreover, the results indicate a high pass-through (above 75%) of producer price shocks to consumer prices. In sharp contrast, the extent of pass-through of import price shocks to consumer prices as reported in the VECM is low at approximately 10% in the short run and declining to approximately 2% in the long run. / National Research Foundation (NRF)

Import of agricultural products from Colombia to Czech Republic / Dovoz tropických plodin z Kolumbie do České Republiky: je poptávka dostatečně pokryta?

Přibylová, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The demand for tropical fruit in the Czech Republic is rising, it´s a trend in the modern way of life. People in the Czech Republic, and all over the world, demand healthier ways of food consumption. We did research concerning a supply in the supermarkets and consumers. I found out, that a demand for tropical fruit was not very well covered and that people were demanding more variety of tropical fruit and were ready to up pay double prices for it. I compared data about consumption of tropical fruits in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The comparison is drawn from net import of tropical fruit and net import it´s divided per capita. We proved that people in the Czech Republic were consuming fewer kilograms per capita per year than people in Germany and Austria. Annual consumption of tropical fruit in the Czech Republic grew by 7 % during the last five years, while in Germany it amounted to 0,3% and in Austria to 4,5%.

Dovoz zboží do EU s důrazem na námořní přepravu kontejnerů / Import of goods to European Union with focus on seaborne container transport

Milková, Andrea January 2008 (has links)
The diploma thesis describes seaborne transport of goods in general, and furthermore specifies the current dilemma of existing cartels - conferences - in this industry. I also describe containerization, general situation on container transport market with a hint of latest information about this market. Next chapter describes legislative rules of European Union that shape import of goods to Union. As it was not possible to describe all of them, I concentrate only on those rules involving import of containers. The goal of researching EU import legislation was to familiriaze myself with all activities and information, which an importer must take care of and possess, before he gets in touch with a shipping carrier about the transport itself. I managed to mention the most basic and important points, which importers of goods must apply.
