In the developed countries, people over 40 years old have less job opportunities turning into victims of unemployment. Retirement to the represents discontinuity and a rupture with the activities developed before it, besides causing poverty. In this study, nine retired individuals were interviewed that declared their difficulties with the lower salary that they earn. Thus, they need to continue in the job market to help their family to survise. These individuals realize the injustice of the social welfare and know the problems found to stay active in the job market. It was possible to conclude that working gives pleasure to the retired elder, makes him feel useful and valued. It is observed that the elder remains working in order to maintain his/her needs. However, it is hoped that in the future he/she can dream of a world where oldness and expropriation of the right to work are history / O presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar a (re)inserção do idoso aposentado que trabalha e com seus ganhos pode afirmar seu status de consumidor, que contribui para a diminuição de sua rejeição social. Nos países desenvolvidos, as pessoas com 40 anos de idade têm menos oportunidades de emprego e transformando-se em vitimas do desemprego. A aposentadoria para elas representa a descontinuidade e uma ruptura frente às atividades desenvolvidas antes dela, além de causar empobrecimento. Neste estudo, foram entrevistados nove indivíduos aposentados que relataram suas dificuldades com o achatamento salarial que sofrem. Assim, precisam continuar no mercado de trabalho para ajudar a família e sobreviver. Esses indivíduos percebem a injustiça do sistema previdenciário e são conscientes dos problemas encontrados para permanecer ativo no mercado de trabalho. Foi possível concluir que o trabalho para o idoso aposentado proporciona prazer, faz com que se sinta útil e valorizado. Observa-se que o idoso permanece trabalhando para suprimir suas necessidades. No entanto, espera-se que no futuro ele possa sonhar com um mundo onde a velhice e a apropriação do direito de trabalhar sejam coisas do passado
