This study is focused in the theoretical group of the imaginary proposed by Durand. It presents as objective understands that it forms if it builds, in the narrative, "Operários de Primeira Hora. A épica da migração italiana no sul de Santa Catarina" of Valdemar Muraro Mazzurana, the imaginary of the Italian immigrant in the south of Santa Catarina. To undertake the analysis we built a theoretical referencial, basing the theory durandiana and the unfolding of the regimes of the day and night of the image. These regimes are part of which the theoretical called the anthropological itinerary of the imaginary. We also studied shortly the subject of the narrative and of the narrator, guided by Benjamin. In the sequence we placed the author Mazzurana and his path as well as the subject of the occupation of the lands of the south Santa Catarina for the immigrant Italian currents. As work methodology, we chose the myth criticism and analysis of myth, methods also developed by Durand to analyze that it forms if it built the narrative and that it forms the search for the cocanha was constituted as a guiding myth of the first immigrants that arrived to the south area of Santa Catarina. We make also some reflections on the diaolim image, as representative entity of the evil that it accompanied one of the immigrants from distant Italy and it was made present until the character's disappearance. Like this, we verified that the modifications of the geographical space (the great forest) they are inseparable of the transformations in the private space and of the human being that in this space. The drama of the Italian immigration that serves as backdrop of the narrative is privileged focuses to recover the daily of a territory - Brentanothe imaginal city . The lived experience appears endows of multiples senses, silted up under the yoke of the conquest by the cocanha and for the bitterness of a difficult life, involved in pains and happiness, in the wait of a future of fame and abundance for the immigrant.

________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation analyses the discursive construction of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s image in six political speeches delivered in international spheres in 2003, thus, at the beginning of his first mandate. It is grounded on a multidisciplinary discussion of the notion of ethos – the image of the speaker forged in discourse – initially based on Aristotelian rhetoric and on its rereading by the New Rhetoric and by Argumentative Semantics, expanding the concept into the discursive field. Inspired in theoretical and methodological contributions of the Critical Discourse Analysis, this study adopts the perspective of language in use and of discourse as interaction. It analyses the construction of the image of the self (speaker) around the elements that compose the scene of the enunciation of the international political speech. It presents a general description of the institutional context of each speech, of the political interests involved and of the argumentative strategies explored in each occasion. It analyses, then, the construction of the discursive image of the self on the basis of three parameters: 1) the presentation of the interlocutors in the texts; 2) the relation of the sentences to the political diplomatic discursive domain; and 3) the discursive construction of reality. The construction of the image of the self benefits from the affinity or the contrast with the audience, such as it is presented in the text; it resources to a repertoire of patterns offered by the discursive domain; and it is built according to the values associated to the objects of discourse formulated in the texts. The analysis shows the effort of building a coherent and unitary discourse, even though it reveals different discursive strategies, according to the audiences and the institutional contexts.

_______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation seeks aims to research and analyze the dialogues, silences, accommodations and arrangements between the discourses made by the Jornal Nacional’s electoral coverage and by the main candidates in their free airtime electoral propaganda during the 2010 presidential elections. The focus of the analysis is on gender issues, and seeks to understand if these issues were addressed in these discourses and, if so, how this occurred. Thus, the present study discusses the relationship between the media and political fields, especially the relationship between professional journalists and political actors, and reflects on concepts such as framing, agenda-setting and political capital, and on the journalistic routines, as well as on the relationship between media coverage and free political propaganda in the last national elections. There are also discussions brought by feminist theorists containing reflections on political ambition, resource inequality, public-private duality, sexual division of labor, patriarchal liberalism and stereotypy. The empirical analysis, guided by theoretical debates, allows us to observe that: 1) the fact that there were two women candidates with great voting potential meant that gender issues earned more space in public debate, in this case, in the discourses proposed and broadcasted by Jornal Nacional and by the main candidates, being part of the narratives that make up the electoral agenda and the candidates’ image; 2) although gender issues have gained more space, this does not configure an opening on the discursive field of politics or of the feminine condition to new perspectives, on the contrary, there seems to occur the strengthening of understandings already naturalized and reproduced about women and motherhood, which shows that the structures of oppression which confirm and maintain women in a subordinate position remain present and active.

Magrin, Nathália Rech 29 August 2018 (has links)
This dissertation deals with the history of madness and the literary representation of the disease in Canto dos malditos, written by Austregésilo Carrano Bueno and published in 2004. The main aim of the research is the discussion of madness underlying the narrative of Carrano Bueno’s book, from the perspective of the social imaginary. In order to carry out the research the comparative methodology was used based on knowledge of history, sociology, journalism and literary review. In this paper the reader finds a possible history of madness and psychiatric hospitals in Brazil, an analysis of the imaginary created around the madness and a study of the representation of the social roles (family, doctor and nursing team) involved in the process of hospitalization of ill and supposedly mentally ill patients, as well as the interests of the institutions. The research is based on theories of social imaginary, therefore the main theoretical authors that support the dissertation are Michel Maffesoli, Bronislaw Baczko and Cornelius Castoriadis. The philosopher Michel Foucault brings us the historical perspective of madness. The research reflects the exclusion of people who had their image linked to the madness of social life. This dissertation is justified because there are few existent researches that approach the subject of madness, especially its representation in the social imaginary.

In Brazil, the study of images in the Art Education grows with the “Triangular Proposal” (Proposta Triangular) created by Ana Mae Barbosa in the 80’s and with the studies about the Aesthetic Development, as proposed by Housen (1983). However the literature of this field show that are few studies specialized in both subjects – image reading and evaluation of the Stages of Aesthetic Development, what makes necessary more studies and investigations. This research combines Art Education and Behavior Analyzes concepts, to answer the question: Is possible to change, by teaching procedures, the Stage of Aesthetic Development of an individual? Was made three case studies. In the Case #1, was evaluated the Stage of the Aesthetic Development of twenty one undergraduate students of Visual Arts, using the procedure and classification proposed by Housen. In the Case #2, was evaluated the Stage of Aesthetic Development of thirty-six undergraduate students of Education, making some changes in the original method proposed by Housen. The results of the Cases #1 and #2 suggested necessary changes in the original procedures, as indicate new elements to be considered to continue the classification of the Stages of Aesthetic Development of the individuals. In the Case #3, the goals was teach reading of representative images of art movements as Mannerism, Renaissance, Gothic and Romanic, using a teaching program elaborated with basis in the Stimulus Equivalence Model and analyze the results in the Stage of Aesthetic Development of twelve undergraduate students of Visual Arts. The activities made was: Initial Evaluation of Stage of Aesthetic Development; Evaluation of Initial Repertoire of image reading; Teaching conditional discriminations; Evaluation of the Final Repertoire for image reading; Test of Generalization for image reading and Final Evaluation of Stage of Aesthetic Development. The result show positive effects in teaching repertoire of image reading of the four artistic movements with higher level than the Pre Test, no only in the Post Test, but also in the Generalization Test. Was possible to perceive also changes in the Stage of Aesthetic Development of 10 participants, that pass from the Stage II to the Stage III. After the teaching program, the participants showed knowledge that they didn’t expressed before the experiment. Therefore, the present study highlights that is possible to plan educational activities to promote changes in the Stage of Aesthetic Development of the students - and for this proposal is possible to use the contributions of the Behavior Analyzes, specifically by the studies of equivalence relations / A leitura de imagens é um dos modos fundamentais de construção do conhecimento da Arte.

O terceiro lugar do qual propomos pensar infância é a escola. It is proposed to consider childhood from three areas: firstly, historical studies will be made about the subject, starting with reflections that suggest his 'invention' in Modernity until its end in Contemporary. In this sense, there was an attempt to add perspectives of the author in order to counteract different thoughts about the end of childhood and suggest new ways to think about it and its space in society. The second part proposes to relate childhood with advertising. Analysing current productions about children on billboards and television is possible to find modulations on the way of reproducing this fase. Sports seek in the adult-child relation, that exists nowadays, leaks that help to propagate brands and products in a tangle of reality, fiction and the imposition of a way of living. In third place we suggest to think of childhood in the school. Through images and events that invite us to look at the child in school life. What children show us about their childhood through games and the relationships stablished in school. By experiencing the world through the sensations and experiences

Authors like Durant, Bachelard, Castoriadis and Maffesoli are revisited in order to collaborate in the imaginary conception of the formulation developed here from primarily a dialogical design and game between the productive dimensions (artists) and receptive (viewer). We propose an investigation and a strain on imaging concepts, imagination and imagination in order to view them as fundamental artistic aesthetic principles to reconfigure the theatrical event. Thus, it is necessary to investigate the relationships created around the pleasure of the viewer as an extension of the creative possibilities and subject s interpersonal relations. To restore the receiver as the work towards the propellant, the theatrical aesthetics are discussed in the dimension of imaginary play, creative and poetic, which takes place in the presence of character, enhancing the speech and the immanent sense of the theatrical discourse. Such principles are developed through the study of two shows produced by recognized and active groups in Brazil, as follows: "A marca da água" Armazém Cia de Theatre / active in RJ and "Os Bem-Intencionados" LUME Theatre group Campinas / SP.
