Prova Brasil, Ãndice da qualidade de educaÃÃo e gastos educacionais nos municÃpios cearenses / Proof Brazil, quality content education and educational expenditure in municipalities in CearÃ

nÃo hà / Considerando a importÃncia dos investimentos em educaÃÃo realizados pelos 184 municÃpios cearenses, investigou-se o impacto desses gastos sobre as notas mÃdias padronizadas dos alunos das escolas pÃblicas municipais cearenses, para dois grupos de anÃlise, um para os alunos dos anos iniciais (4 sÃrie/5 ano) e outro para os alunos dos anos finais (8 sÃrie/9 ano), referentes a 2007, 2009, 2011 e 2013. A anÃlise descritiva demonstrou que as notas mÃdias padronizadas dos alunos dos anos iniciais e finais apresentam uma tendÃncia crescente nos perÃodos analisados, acompanhada por uma tendÃncia crescente nos gastos com educaÃÃo realizados pelos municÃpios cearenses. Partindo dessa evidÃncia, foram realizadas estimaÃÃes, utilizando-se variÃveis instrumentais e dados em painel para efeitos fixos, tendo como instrumento o Ãndice de EducaÃÃo para distribuiÃÃo da Cota Parte do ICMS, apresentando efeitos positivos e significantes dos investimentos em educaÃÃo sobre as notas mÃdias padronizadas da Prova Brasil de todos os grupos analisados. / Considering the importance of investments in education performed by 184 municipalities in CearÃ, this study investigated the impact of education expenditures on the standardized average scores for two groups of students enrolled in public schools, one group of students in the early years (4th and 5th grades) and another group of students in the final years (8th and 9th grades), during 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013. Descriptive statistics for the standardized average of both early and final years students have shown an upward trend during the period analyzed, followed by a growing trend in education spending made by municipalities in CearÃ. Based on this evidence, estimations based on instrumental variable and fixed effect panel data were conducted, using an education index as instrument, which presented a positive and significant effect of investments in education on the standardized average scores of the Prova Brasil for both groups.

Propočet výnosnosti investic do vzdělání v ČR / The estimate of the rate of return on investment in education in the Czech Republic

The aim of this work is to estimate the individual rate of return on investment in tertiary education in the Czech Republic. Firstly, I focus on the theoretical explanation of the issue of human capital and investment in education as the most important investment in human capital. On the basis of the theoretical knowledge I present a list of revenues and expenses associated with investments in human capital. From this list I then select quantifiable revenues and expenses for the calculation of the internal rate of return on investments in tertiary education and present the data used in calculations. I describe my own methodology and also the methodology used by OECD, which is a base for my methodology. After estimating the individual rate of return on investment in tertiary education in the Czech Republic, I describe some limits of the calculation and interpretation obstacles of the estimate. At the end of my work, I mention some possible directions for further research in this area.

Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender a influência das práticas administrativo-pedagógicas que podem colaborar para o desempenho dos alunos de escolas públicas municipais do ensino fundamental do estado de São Paulo no IDEB. Para isso foi realizado uma adaptação da metodologia proposta por Salgado Junior (2013) que envolveu a realização de uma pesquisa de abordagem quali-quantitativa, dividida em duas etapas. A primeira etapa consistiu na aplicação da técnica DEA em 1.298 escolas públicas municipais do estado de São Paulo, cuja finalidade foi identificar as escolas eficientes em transformar investimento financeiro, nível socioeconômico e infraestrutura em desempenho no IDEB. A segunda etapa consistiu na realização de um estudo de múltiplos casos, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, análise documental e observação assistemática nas cinco escolas eficientes identificadas pela técnica DEA e em cinco escolas ineficientes (com escore DEA inferior a 0,80) escolhidas por possuírem características semelhantes e estarem localizadas nos mesmos municípios das escolas eficientes. A análise dos resultados, apresentados nos estudos de caso, revelou a existência de 23 práticas administrativo-pedagógicas que apresentam evidências de ter influenciado o desempenho dos alunos no IDEB. Os resultados indicam que a participação da família na vida escolar do filho, assim como a cobrança da comunidade perante o Diretor pode contribuir para melhoria no desempenho dos alunos no IDEB. A preparação específica para a Prova Brasil, a rotatividade de Professores nas disciplinas de Português e Matemática e o sistema disciplinar também foram práticas identificadas nesta pesquisa que podem contribuir para o desempenho dos alunos. Por fim, os resultados encontrados nessa pesquisa podem ser utilizados para definição sobre a destinação dos recursos financeiros por parte da SME e orientar os Diretores na gestão dos processos administrativo-pedagógico da escola, a fim de promover uma melhoria no desempenho dos alunos no IDEB / This study aimed to understand the influence of administrative and pedagogical practices that may contribute to the performance of students in public schools of primary education in the state of São Paulo in IDEB. Finally, the results found in this research can be used for the definition on the allocation of financial resources by the SME and guide the directors in the management of administrative and pedagogical processes of school in order to promote an improvement in student performance in IDEB

Transitions familiales, professionnelles et investissements éducatifs : une analyse par microsimulation dynamique / Family transitions, professional transitions and investments in education : a dynamic microsimulation analysis

Cette thèse propose une analyse de l'investissement éducatif au niveau individuel. Elle développe une perspective dynamique qui cherche à analyser les liens entre éducation et trajectoires sur le long terme. Pour ce faire, nous utilisons un modèle de microsimulation dynamique. La première partie de la thèse porte sur l'éducation initiale. Elle cherche à évaluer l'impact de la diversité des trajectoires sur l'hétérogénéité des gains monétaires associés à différents niveaux de diplôme. Nous y montrons tout d'abord que certains diplômés, en raison des trajectoires défavorables qu'ils connaissent sur le marché du travail, ont une probabilité non négligeable de ne pas valoriser financièrement leurs études. L'analyse des gains liés à l'éducation initiale est ensuite élargie aux comportements conjugaux des individus. En particulier, nous montrons que la prise en compte des revenus salariaux des conjoints réduit les inégalités entre les diplômés, et ce, malgré l'existence de phénomènes d'homogamie éducative. La seconde partie de la thèse est consacrée à la « formation continue » (FC) ou « postscolaire ». En tenant compte des facteurs familiaux et professionnels qui peuvent jouer sur l'accès à la FC, cette partie a pour objectif de mesurer le niveau des dépenses dont bénéficient les individus pour se former une fois leurs études initiales terminées. Les résultats mettent en lumière une forte hétérogénéité de ces dépenses et le rôle divergent des différents dispositifs de formation. Ils montrent également que les montants investis dans la formation postscolaire des individus demeurent faibles au regard de ceux engagés pour la formation initiale. / This thesis provides an analysis of investment in education from an individual point of view. Using a microsimulation model, we develop a dynamic perspective that aims to take into account the long-term relationships between education and individual trajectories. The first part of the thesis focuses on initial education. Its objective is to assess the impact of the diversity of trajectories on the heterogeneity of education benefits. We first show that some graduates, because of their vulnerable position on the labour market, are exposed to negative return to initial education. Our analysis of initial education benefits is then extended to marital behaviour. We more particularly show that taking into account spouse's labour market income reduces inequality between individuals despite the existence of educational homogamy. The second part of the thesis deals with further education and training (FET). Considering family and professional factors that may affect access to FET, we measure the level of expenditure received by individuals to train throughout their career. The results point out the heterogeneity of these spending and indicate that investments in FET are low compared to those invested in initial education.

臺灣高等教育投資回報率估算之研究 / The rate of return to investment in Taiwan higher education

本研究主要目的在探討臺灣高等教育投資回報率的估算,乃利用2010年行政院主計處之人力運用調查資料庫的資料,並採用Mincer的薪資所得擴展模型來分析臺灣的大學之教育類科報酬率,以最普通最小平方法進行實證分析。本文得到的實證結果如下: 1.臺灣不同大學教育類科畢業的勞動者之薪資所得估算結果,與Mincer(1974)的薪資所得模型與Psacharopoulos(1987)採用的模型一樣。 2.在教育回報率達顯著水準的教育類科中,男性及已婚勞動者的回報率均高於女性或未婚者,工作地點在都會區則沒有顯著性較高的回報率。 3.在七個教育類科中,以商科、理科、工科及醫(藥)護科達顯著水準,其中以理科為11.5%為最高,再者為醫(藥)護科為5.4%,商科及工科則為最低。 / The main purpose of this study is to examine the rate of return to investment in Taiwan higher education.The sample of this study is adopted from the Manpower Utilization Survey issued by the Directiorate-General of Budget,Accounting and Statistics(2010). It used the Mincer equation to estimate the rate of different department return to investment in Taiwan higher education.It employs Ordinary Least Squares(OLS)for data analysis and the findings of current study can be summarized as follow: 1.Using Mincer’s and Psacharopoulos’s wage equation to estimate the different department of higher education was confired in Taiwan data. 2.In the returns to education on different department was significant,Male rate of return was higher than that of female, and the married was also higher than unmarried. The estimating results for urban employees was no significant higher rate of return. 3.In the returns to education on different department, business, engineering, science and medical was significant. The highest returns to education of department was science for 11.5%, and the higher was medical for 5.4%. The lowest returns to education was business and engineering.

En los últimos años, los padres de familia han tomado mayor importancia a la inversión en educación que brindan a sus hijos, y estos a menudo deciden gastar en la educación de sus hijos tomando en cuenta factores que pueden influir en esta decisión. Es por ello, que el presente trabajo analiza la variación del gasto en educación que realizan los jefes de familia en sus hijos, con respeto a factores, como: la educación que tiene los padres de familia, el género de los hijos, los ingresos de los jefes de familia, el tamaño de la familia con respecto al número de hijos y la diferencia que habría si el jefe de familia es mujer. Se recurrió a una metodología Tobit. Los resultados muestran la existencia de influencia de los factores mencionados anteriormente para los años 2013, 2016 y 2019 en el Peru. Además, se puede visualizar que, la diferencia en inversión de los padres de familia, según sector, es decir, urbano y rural, ya no es una variable significativa en los últimos años. / In recent years, parents have placed greater importance on investing in education they provide to their children, and many times they decide to spend on their children's education considering factors that can influence this decision. That is why the present work analyzes the variation in spending on education by heads of family on their children, with respect to factors such as: parents' education, gender of children, income of heads of family, the size of the family with respect to the number of children and the difference it would have if the head of the family were a woman. A Tobit methodology was used, as mentioned above, this model will consider the characteristics of the heads of household and children, as well as demographic characteristics. It is found that the probabilities that a head of the family invest in the education of their children increase according to the level of studies they reach, in addition to a measure that generates income, the probability of spending will be greater. The results show the existence of influence of the aforementioned factors for the years 2013, 2016 and 2019 in Peru. The results mention that in Peru the educational inequality with respect to the gender of the students has a very short gap. Furthermore, it can be observed that, in Peru, the difference in parental investment, by sector, that is, urban and rural, is no longer a significant variable in recent years. / Trabajo de investigación

The goal of this thesis was to analyze current motivation system in a selected company and a proposal for further training opportunities. The work is characterized by MOTOR JIKOV Fostron, a long-established system of education in the company and education in times of economic crisis. One of the marketing research ? questioning in the form of questionnaires and interview - was applied in the thesis. The analysis revealed the deficiencies of the motivation system, for which were proposed measures for their elimination. Based on these deficiencies and suggestions for improvements have been recommended further staff training opportunities - in the form of Training internal communications, Employee assessment, E-learning and Operational programme Human resources and employment.
