Pelegrini, Larissa Sbeghen January 2018 (has links)
Parasites of aquatic organisms, particularly those parasitizing fish, are underestimated as to their importance in the impact of host populations. The studies on this theme has grown over time, with more in-depth studies involving the population dynamics of these organisms over time-space in hosts in their natural environment, thus increasing knowledge on adaptation strategies in parasite-host-environment relationship. In degraded regions, as is the case with most water bodies in the State of São Paulo, and depending on the type of environmental change in their surroundings, the entire trophic chain of aquatic organisms will be influenced by such changes, and the parasites will respond more than your hosts to these changes. The diversity of aquatic organisms in the Batalha River is still little known with restricted studies in the region, and the Siluriformes species stand out both in species richness and in abundance, whose importance is given in sports, local feeding and ornamental purpose. They are widely diversified and complex organisms, distributed in several types of environment, with preference for cloudy water, between rocks and vegetation of the bottom of the rivers, with predominantly nocturnal habits, mainly in trop... No. of bitstreams: 1 Edionei Maico Fries.pdf: 1399307 bytes, checksum: 96ae22c84e1b086b9247694a325ae510 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-12-17 / This study had determined the effect of the supplementation of phytase (1,500 IU kg-1 diet phytase) on apparent digestibility, minerals availability, mineral deposition in the bones, intestinal histology and proximate analysis for catfish fillets (Rhamdia voulezi). Were utilized 360 catfishes with average weight of 236.98±54.02 g and average length of 27.39±2.02 cm distributed in 24 tapered conical tanks of 500L each for the excreta collection were used. The experimental design was completely randomized with eight treatments and three replications. Were measured three protein foods (soybean meal, canola and sunflower) and the treatments consisted in the formulation of two diets references with about 30% crude protein and 4,240 kcal of gross energy kg-1 and two test diets for each tested feed. For this, after the mixing of the ingredients were added 1,500 IU of phytase kg-1 in a repetition of each diet, obtaining four diets without phytase supplementation and four diets with enzyme supplementation. The experimental diets were composed of 30% of the test ingredient and 70% of the reference diet and chromium oxide (Cr2O3) was used as an inert tracer in a proportion of 0.2%. Data were tabulated and submitted to analysis of variance and later was performed the multiple comparison test of Tukey (p<0.05). Factor analysis for the coefficients of apparent digestibility showed effect (p<0.05) for the interaction between ingredients and supplementation or not of phytase, with soybean meal showing the highest apparent digestibility values for dry matter, protein and ether extract. The availability of nutrients from food had effect (p<0.05) for food and supplementation of phytase enzyme, with the best results observed for fish fed with the diet supplemented with the enzyme phytase. The enzyme supplementation improves the availability of calcium and magnesium being the best values for the availability founded on the soybean meal. The villus height and thickness of the intestinal muscle layer and the chemical composition had varied (p<0.05) in accordance with treatments and with ingredients. The major intestinal villus height was observed in the reference diet with enzyme and lager thickness of the muscular layer for diet without phytase canola meal. There were not observed differences (p>0.05) with or without phytase on phosphorus retention. Moreover, all ingredients with or without supplementation of phytase showed differences (p<0.05) on the magnesium deposition in bones. Was observed that the protein ingredients of vegetable origin evaluated have responded on the different way the effect of phytase. Among the evaluated ingredients, soybean meal had showed the best digestibility coefficients and the supplementation of phytase had improved the availability of the minerals calcium and magnesium for the fish analyzed.

We used 288 fish distributed in 24 tanks of 500 L with tapered conical bottom. The experimental design was completely randomized represented by eight treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted of two reference diets (reference with and without phytase) and six test diets (oats with and without phytase, rice grits with and without phytase and wheat middling with and without phytase), factorial design, obtaining four diets without enzyme supplementation and four diets with supplementation. In the supplemented diets we added 1500 FTU kg-1 of phytase. We performed chemical, physical and mineral (phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron and cupper) analysis of the ingredients, diets and feces, as well as chromium oxide measurement of the diets and feces. The digestibility coefficients observed were submitted to factorial variance analysis (P>0,05). When a significant effect was observed, the Tukey s test was performed for mean comparisons. Oat presented the lowest digestibility coefficients for dry matter and energy compared to the other feeds supplemented or not with phytase. Phytase supplementation increased the digestibility coefficient of dry matter for rice grits, and of energy both for this feed and for wheat middling. As for the use of minerals we verified that wheat middling presented the highest digestibility coefficients related to feed without phytase as much as for feed supplemented with the enzyme. The supplementation of phytase in quantity of 1500 FTU kg-1 in the diet improves the nutrients digestibility coefficients mainly for oat and rice grits. Taking into account the feeds with or without supplementation of 1500 FTU kg-1 in the diet, rice grits and wheat middling presented the highest values of its nutrients use and can be used more efficiently for silver catfish (R. voulezi) feeding.

The experiment was conducted at the Instituto de Pesquisa em Aquicultura Ambiental - InPAA belonging to Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, Toledo campus. Six hundred fingerlings with initial average weight and length of 4.49 ± 0.8 grams and 3.42 ± 0.24 inches respectively were distributed in 24 tanks - network with capacity 1m3 of usable volume. Completely randomized design with six treatments and four replications was used with an experimental unit formed by tank with 25 fish. Treatments consisted of six diets with increasing levels of 0; 6; 12; 18; 24; 30% sorghum and decreasing 30; 24; 18; 12; 6; 0% corn.. For 114 days, the fingerlings were fed three times a day (8, 12 and 17h), ad libitum. Survival was lower in the lot of fish fed a diet containing 30% sorghum, differing significantly (p <0.05) diets with 0 and 6% sorghum. The values of the chemical composition of the carcass and total protein were normal for the species and may serve as a basis for comparison with studies involving different culture conditions of silver catfish. It was concluded that sorghum can replace corn by 80% in diets for silver catfish.
