Simulační model populačního vývoje / The simulation model of the population growth

Urbanová, Kateřina January 2008 (has links)
In this thesis, called a simulation model of population growth, there was created the simulation model of a population growth in the Czech Republic to the year 2052. First there was constructed the projection through the component method used in demography. Deterministic values obtained by this method are then used in the simulation analysis. In the simulation analysis there was conducted an experiment with three variables which influence the population growth (the fertility, life expectancy/the coefficient of the decline of the probability of the death/ and the migration balance). With the support of the Crystal Ball, supporting program for Excel, which provides the possibility of the simulations, there was determined the stochastic character of the three variables. There are created the low, medium and high variant of the projections, as well as three other possible variants of population growth that might occur. These variations are called economic crisis, friendly migration policy and restrictive migration policy.

Simulační model (reálná situace) / Simulation model (real situation)

Černohous, Roman January 2009 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze and optimize production processes in a company which produces plastic components for the automotive industry. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes basic knowledge of business process simulation and addresses the reasons for making use of dynamic simulation as a tool for eliminating dissipation and supporting decision making. The main focus is an analysis of the current situation and identifies the problems in the company. For the purpose of optimization, a simulation model was created using Simul8, by the Simul8 Corporation. The model was made in accordance with the methodology described in the theoretical part of this thesis. It was used to examine the efficiency of proposed versions of the production schedule, in light of its impact on storage capacity and service level.

Analýza nákladové efektivity sekvenční terapie deprese / Cost-effectiveness analysis of sequential therapy of depression

Šóš, Peter January 2010 (has links)
Applying pharmacoeconomic methods were compared two selected treatments of depressive disorder. Markov model was created to evaluate cost-effectiveness of the two strategies. Knowledge from the clinical practice and the clinical research findings of the author are linked with pharmacoeconomic techniques into a multidisciplinary complex. The proposed sequential therapy uses a prediction of antidepressant response by utilizing of recent quantitative electroencephalography methods. Sequential therapy is more cost-effective compared with the conventional therapeutic strategy according to clinical guidelines. The results and limitations of the study are discussed at the conclusion from clinical and economic perspective.

Verifikace expertních odhadů: české malířství v aukcích / Pre-sale estimates verification: Czech painting at auctions

Macková, Jaroslava January 2012 (has links)
The predictive power of pre-sale estimates in comparison with hedonic model of hammer price is tested within Czech painters' dataset in Czech and foreign auctions. It appears that pre-sale estimates do not account for all available information from public database which influence hammer price. The determinants of differences are examined on Czech and foreign auctions separately (OLS with instrumental variable) and in addition bought-in works are included into examination of foreign dataset by Heckit model. The same author appears to be the most viable difference in both datasets (after bought-in works inclusion in foreign data). Techniques and supports with higher hammer prices tend to have higher rate of difference between hammer and estimate prices. The influence of the oldest auction houses to higher hammer prices than estimates was confirmed. In Czech environment this influence of some auction house was not registered.

Analýza obchodního konceptu společnosti Zara / Zara Business Model Analysis

Tejnická, Jana January 2012 (has links)
Zara is one of the most successful and fastest growing retail apparel company in the world. This retail chain is regarded as a pioneer of fast fashion companies whose main feature is quick response to new fashion trends, launching several collections a year and continuous assortment refreshing. Zara has entered the Czech Republic in 2001. On the local market the company presents itself as a premium brand whereas in Western Europe Zara is seen as a middle class brand. The company Zara Česká republika operates only six stores and its sales, compared with the largest clothing chains operating on the Czech market, are rather low. The diploma thesis has two main objectives. One goal is to describe and analyse the business model of the retail chain Zara as many experts believe that the company's business model is the reason of its tremendous success. The second major goal of this thesis is to determine how Czech women perceive the retail chain Zara in comparison with other apparel chains operating on the Czech market and to verify the hypothesis that the Czech female consumers are not satisfied with quality-price ratio of goods offered by chain Zara. The secondary objective of the thesis is to characterize the apparel business and to explain the concept of fast fashion.

Business Model Innovations / Inovace Business Modelu

Makarov, Daniil January 2012 (has links)
The thesis covers the phenomenon of business model innovation. It provides with theoretical background of the concept based on the works of several scientists who stand at the beginnings of the discipline. The paper also introduces the principles of design thinking applied to business model innovation in order to get superior results and serve as a guideline for ideation processes and presenting enhancements to existing business models. The practical part is devoted to applying the described concepts on examples from real life, which can especially help small companies in their battle with incumbents. Three industries are analyzed to see the flaws with the current state of things. New business models that can disrupt corresponding industries are offered at the end of each case.

Thermochemical investigations of crystalline solutes in non-electrolyte solutions: Mathematical representation of solubility data and the development of predictive solubility equations in systems with specific and non-specific interactions.

Zvaigzne, Anita Ilze 05 1900 (has links)
Understanding the thermodynamic properties of multicomponent mixtures is of critical importance in many chemical and industrial applications. Experimental measurements become progressively difficult as the number of solution components increases -- producing the need for predictive models. Problems in development of predictive models arise if the mixture has one or more components that interact through molecular complexation or association. Experimental solubilities of anthracene and pyrene dissolved in binary systems containing one or more alcohols were measured in order to address this problem. Alcohols examined in this study were: 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, 3-methyl-1-butanol, and 1-octanol. In binary solvent mixtures containing only a single self-associating alcoholic solvent, the alkane cosolvents studied were: n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane, 2,2,4-trimethylpentane, cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, tert-butylcyclohexane. Predictive solubility equations were developed using mobile order theory. This approach differs from classical solution models by representing hydrogen bonding with a probability term rather than with expressions derived from stepwise equilibria or expressions to represent hypothetical solution aggregates. Results were compared with the predicted solubilities found from using expressions developed using the Kretschmer-Wiebe and Mecke-Kempter approaches for modeling associated solutions. It was found that the mobile order approach provided reasonably accurate predictions for the solute solubilities in the systems studied. The limitations and applications for mathematical methods of representing experimental isothermal solubility data were also studied for 72 systems. Two possible descriptive forms for this mathematical representation were suggested based on the various nearly ideal binary solvent (NIBS) and modified Wilson models.
