Labour market reforms in Spain and its impact on labour market flexibility

Vojče, Barbora January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the labour market reforms in Spain that were adopted in order to increase the labour market flexibility and decrease the extraordinarily high unemployment persisting in Spain over decades. The thesis focuses especially on the latest labour market reform adopted in February 2012, which is considered the most impactful one, especially regarding dismissals and their cost. After introducing the main characteristics of the Spanish labour market including, among others the historical circumstances that have led to the current situation, an analysis of several labour market indicators is performed, aiming to find out whether the objectives of the 2012 reform were fulfilled or not. Furthermore, the thesis investigates the performance of the German Hartz reforms adopted in 2003-2005 and attempts to quantify the cost of potential application of their measures on the current Spanish labour market situation. This provides a valuable insight useful for the proposal of recommendations to improve the Spanish labour market.

Korespodence mezi kvantoidy a matroidy / Correspodence between quantoids and matroids

Miklín, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
The notion of quantoid is an analogy to the notion of matroid in the context of quantum realm. This thesis summarizes basic properties of quantoids and the correspondence between quantoids and selfdual matroids. A new set of axioms is derived as an alternative to the set which was used as the original definition of quantoid. A catalog enumerating all quantoids with the size of their ground set up to 5 elements is attached in the appendix and a larger database of quantoids (up to 7 elements in the ground set) is enclosed as an attachment of this thesis.

Čtyřhodnotová sémantika klasické a intuicionistické logiky / A Four-Valued Kripke Semantics for Classical and Intuitionistic Logic

Přenosil, Adam January 2013 (has links)
The thesis introduces a logic which combines intuitionistic implication with de Morgan negation in a way which conservatively extends both classical and intuitionistic logic. This logic is the intuitionistic counterpart of the four-valued Belnap-Dunn logic. In relation to this logic, we study de Morgan algebras and their expansions, in particular their expansion with a constant representing inconsistency. We prove a duality for such algebras extending the Priestley duality. We also introduce a weak notion of modal algebra and prove a duality for such algebras. We then define analytic sequent calculi for various logics of de Morgan negation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Některé bezbodové aspekty souvislosti / Some point-free aspects of connectedness

Jakl, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
In this thesis we present the Stone representation theorem, generally known as Stone duality in the point-free context. The proof is choice-free and, since we do not have to be concerned with points, it is by far simpler than the original. For each infinite cardinal κ we show that the counter- part of the κ-complete Boolean algebras is constituted by the κ-basically disconnected Stone frames. We also present a precise characterization of the morphisms which correspond to the κ-complete Boolean homomorphisms. Although Booleanization is not functorial in general, in the part of the dual- ity for extremally disconnected Stone frames it is, and constitutes an equiv- alence of categories. We finish the thesis by focusing on the De Morgan (or extremally disconnected) frames and present a new characterization of these by their superdense sublocales. We also show that in contrast with this phenomenon, a metrizable frame has no non-trivial superdense sublocale; in other words, a non-trivial Čech-Stone compactification of a metrizable frame is never metrizable. 1

d-Framy jako algebraické duály bitopologických prostorů / d-Frames as algebraic duals of bitopological spaces

Jakl, Tomáš January 2018 (has links)
Achim Jung and Drew Moshier developed a Stone-type duality theory for bitopological spaces, amongst others, as a practical tool for solving a particular problem in the theory of stably compact spaces. By doing so they discovered that the duality of bitopological spaces and their algebraic counterparts, called d-frames, covers several of the known dualities. In this thesis we aim to take Jung's and Moshier's work as a starting point and fill in some of the missing aspects of the theory. In particular, we investigate basic categorical properties of d-frames, we give a Vietoris construction for d-frames which generalises the corresponding known Vietoris constructions for other categories, and we investigate the connection between bispaces and a paraconsistent logic and then develop a suitable (geometric) logic for d-frames.

Homotopické struktury v algebře, geometrii a matematické fyzice / Homotopické struktury v algebře, geometrii a matematické fyzice

Černohorská, Eva January 2011 (has links)
Title: Homotopic structures in algebra, geometry and mathematical physics Author: Eva Černohorská Department: Mathematical Institute of Charles University Supervisor: RNDr. Martin Markl, DrSc., Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Mathematical Institute of Charles University Abstract: The aim of this thesis was to generalize the result that associative algebras on finite dimensional vector spaces can be described using differentials on free algebras. This result is limited by the duality of vector spaces. If we assume that the underlying space has a linear topology, then we can use the duality between discrete and linearly compact (profinite) vector spaces. To generalize the notion of an algebra, we need to recall the completed tensor product on linear vector spaces. Since this topics does not seem to be sufficiently covered by the literature, this thesis could serve also as a comprehensive text on linear vector spaces and their completed tensor products. We prove that also A∞ structures on linearly compact vector spaces could be represented by differentials on a free algebra. Keywords: Strongly homotopy associative algebra, linear topological vector space, Pontryagin duality, completed tensor product, differential

Svět Arltových povídek / The world of Arlt's tales

Bláhová, Tereza January 2013 (has links)
The main focus of this thesis is the interpretation of the view of the world in two of the short stories of Argentinean writer Roberto Arlt. The thesis is based on essay of the foundation, evolution and theory of short story. Both the global point of view and the perspectives of Hispano-American authors Horacio Quiroga, Julio Cortázar and Jorge Luis Borges are considered. In addition, this work describes Argentinean society at the turn of the 19th into the 20th century, the society being the main period of Arlt's pieces. The context of the literature in Buenos Aires in the 1920s and 1930s is also described to introduce the writer's position among his contemporaries. A brief introduction of Roberto Arlt's biography and writings is included as background. All of these factors are addressed in the analysis of the short stories "The Little Hunchback" and "Ester Primavera." The analysis is targeted at the style and method used to create the short stories and about the acts and life situations of its characters. Arlt's integration of lower social class and colloquial language in literature, his interest in the individual existence, and the gradual elimination of the boundary between reality and fiction, inspired many writers of the following generation.

Koncept duality v kultuře a mýtech Lakotů / The Concept of Duality in Culture and Myths of Lakota Indians

Perlíková, Klára January 2017 (has links)
The Concept of Duality in Culture and Myths of Lakota Indians The purpose of the dissertation is to explore and research the broad topic of culture of Lakota Indians from the perspective of secondary abstraction inspired by the structuralist approach to anthropology. The concept of duality is perceived here as a general concept which is - as it is our belief - present across various categories and areas of Lakota culture, both in the past and in the present. The dissertation is conceived as a set of chapters each of which deals with a different area of Lakota culture from the perspective of this secondary abstraction. First, we specify and define our understanding of duality and show how the original approach of structural anthropology has been modified in the course of time by postmodernists' critique. The theoretical introduction is followed by studies of four areas of Lakota culture in which the concept of duality is shown. The first two topics - Lakota myths and traditional visual art of the Lakota - are based primarily on ethnographical data collected by other researchers of the area. On the other hand, the other two areas - Lakota identity and the phenomenon of contemporary summer powwows in Lakota reservations - are based largely on the author's research in this area in summer 2014 and 2015....

Pracovní trh v tradičních odvětvích a lehkém průmyslu v předmoderním a moderním Japonsku / The Labour Market in Traditional and Light Industry in Pre-modern and Modern Japan

Klička, Petr January 2011 (has links)
In this thesis I focus on the Japanese labour market in agriculture, traditional, semi-traditional and modern light industry between the 1730s and 1950s. In the first chapter I introduce institutional theory and path dependance theory which serve as my conceptual frame. In the second chapter I present a broad definition of the modern period based on Kito's demographical periodization of Japanese history. In the third and fourth chapter I analyze the institutional structure of agriculture and by-employments that dominated the modern labour market. In conclusion I discuss the connection of this structure to heavy industry and its implications for the current dual labour market.
