Rotator assembly at Indexator

Lundström, Jonathan, Hörnberg, Emil January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is concerning rotator assembly at Indexator. A need to increase production has been seen and it can be done by implementing an optimized assembly process. In addition to the assembly process a new design on workstations and new test equipment is needed. The study resulted into three assembly process proposals. The processes were balanced, layouts were produced and Plant simulation was utilized to produce simulation models. Each proposal were analyzed based on cost, performance, ease of implementation, flexibility and worker condition. This resulted in a stationary assembly process being most promising and a 3D simulation model was produced for visualization and better understanding. The stationary assembly process has a capacity for 90 rotators per day, while reducing the amount of workers by one.The layout of the workstations was done based on the assembly process layout and further developed to make the work cell lean and ergonomic. It resulted in three workstations to perform the assembly. The test bench was developed by creating target specifications, establish a test procedure and decide components for the test bench layout. The finished test bench can measure dynamic torque, count particles to ensure cleanliness and is able to run the test unattended.

Abstract: This work presents the development of stationary phases (SP) for high performance liquid chromatography in the reversed phase (RP-HPLC) and for supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) prepared by the sorption and thermal immobilization of poly(methyloctadecylsiloxane) (PMODS) onto silica and metalized silica supports modified with zirconium and titanium. The immobilization process was optimized using central composite design for determination of the best conditions of time and temperature. The polymer, supports and stationary phases were characterized with physico-chemical and chromatographic tests. The stationary phases Si(PMODS), Si-Zr(PMODS) and Si-Ti(PMODS) presented the best results when a temperature of 120 °C for 16 hours was applied. The best SP were submitted to endcapping processes. These SP showed efficiencies between 82,000 and 90,000 plates m and good separations with symmetric peaks for apolar and polar compounds evaluated by the Engelhardt, Tanaka, Neue and SRM 870 tests and the solvation parameter model using supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC). The presence of metallic oxide on the supports resulted in stationary phases with better chemical stability under drastic conditions of mobile phase (pH 1.7 and pH 10 at 50 °C), when compared to similar stationary phases based on bare silica. The endcapping reaction improved the chemical stability. The SP Si-Zr(PMODS), Si- Ti(PMODS), Si-Zr(PMODS)ec e Si-Ti(PMODS)ec presented potentialities for the separation different pharmaceutical compounds used as psychotropic drugs, ultraviolet (UV) filters, xanthines, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), using separations in HPLC and SFC.

[en] The fluoroquinolones are an important class of synthetic antimicrobial agents clinically used for over 30 years. In addition to antibacterial activity, some fluoroquinolones, as well as their metal complexes, presented cytotoxic activity and are therefore promising as antitumor agents. In order to obtain new complexes of Au (III) and other metal ions that have biological activity, this work had the objective to synthesize new complexes using ligands of the group of fluoroquinolones. These new complexes were characterized by various techniques such as elemental analysis, conductometry, infrared spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) of 1H and 13C NMR, UV-Vis, stead state and time-resolved fluorimetry studies. Biological activities were analized for all complexes. Usually, the fluoroquinolones coordinate to the metal ions as bidentate through the carbonyl and carboxylic acid ketonic carbonyl group. This was confirmed Cu(II) complex, however, for Au(III) and Bi (III) complexes, the results of IR and 1H and 13C NMR showed that the coordination was trough the nitrogen using the piperazine ring, a coordination not usually found for fluoroquinolones. The complexes of Au(III) shown to be active against the A20 tumor cell lines (murine lymphoma), B16-F10 (murine melanoma) and K562 (human myeloid leukemia). Complexes of Cu(II) showed significant antiparasitic activity, whereas complexes of Bi(III) have shown antibacterial activity.

Separace azaarénů vysoceúčinnou kapalinovou chromatografií / Separation of Azaarenes by High Performance Liguid Chromatography

Kočí, Kamila January 2008 (has links)
Under the framework of this PhD project, a study on chromatographic behaviour of selected azaarenes on octadecylsilica stationary phases during their separation by reversed phase liquid chromatography was developed. The main goal was aimed at an application of the basic RPLC principles on the retention behaviour of azaarenes including the effects such as peak tailing, peak broadening, irreproducible retention or strong retention on a stationary phase. This study was particularly focused on basic azaarenes, also called acridines, which belong to a group of persistent organic pollutants providing mutagenic and/or carcinogenic activity. The retention patterns were studied on a group of eight acridines that are often present in environmental samples polluted with polycyclic aromatic compounds. The mixture of acridines was separated under isocratic elution conditions on three octadecylsilica stationary phases using two different binary mixtures as a mobile phase. Evaluation of the surface properties of the selected stationary phases was firstly performed, followed by the separation experiments. The structure of the experiments was designed to evaluate the effect of three different factors on the retention behaviour of acridines: properties of a stationary phase, composition of a mobile phase and physical-chemical properties of acridines. The treatment of the results was based on the capacity factor values providing the best fitting and repeatability of data, but other parameters that evaluate thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of the separation process were also given. Simple correlations between the three factors and a character of retention mechanism of acridines on the given separation system were found. Application of this knowledge simplifies an optimisation process and helps to solve common separation problems for acridines, but also for other basic analytes displaying similar physical-chemical properties (Mr and pKa).

Charakterizace chirálních a achirálních chromatografických separačních systémů / Chromatograhic characterization of chiral and achiral separation systems

Kučerová, Gabriela January 2018 (has links)
Dissertation thesis is a 5-publications' collection concerning characterization and application potential of cyclodextrins, polysaccharides and macrocyclic antibiotics based chiral stationary phases. The effects of stationary phase and mobile phase are studied. This approach ensures the complex insight into separation systems studied. Systems with different nature of chiral selector were studied by HPLC. Namely, macrocyclic antibiotics and derivatized polysaccharides were used for experiments. Former ones provided better results for enantioseparation of non-coded amino acids than latter ones. Dynamic coating procedure was used for preparation of a new chiral stationary phase. Characterization of new cationic cyclodextrin based chiral stationary phase was performed. Linear free energy relationship method was used for characterization of two different separation systems, i.e. newly prepared stationary phase and commercially available stationary phase. Based on results obtained, newly prepared stationary phase showed better results for separation of different achiral groups of analysts. New stationary phase prepared by dynamic coating was compared with chromatographic system, in which the chiral selector was used as a mobile phase additive. The chiral selector used for the two different approaches was...

Tidsrapporteringssystem för mobila och stationära enheter : Utveckling av en MVC4 Webbapplikation i ASP.NET och PhoneGap / Timesheet system for mobile and stationary devices : Development of a MVC4 Web Application in ASP.NET and PhoneGap

Gandhi, Vicky, Kufa, David January 2014 (has links)
The goal of this project was to design a timesheet system for Online CC AB in order to make time reporting more efficient for their customers. The system is a web application that is to be used for time reporting in-which, later on can be exported to a salary system of their choice for salary transactions of personnel. This system is the foundation for a future, all-in-one system with extended functionality. The product was produced using Extreme Programming and Test-Driven Development. During development the development team worked with well-renowned and well-tried methods to ensure a system with the utmost quality. The web application utilizes modern technologies and frame-works for web development – including Microsoft’s ASP.NET MVC 4 and Entity Framework. It’s shown that app development is a diffuse field in which the latest tools within the field do not comparatively simplify the work. A system that works on as-well as mobile units, in the form of a hybrid application, as stationary units, in the form of a web application, demands the development team to be experienced within respective fields. At the end of the project not all requirements are met – however due to us using Test-Driven Development, the system is fully operational. Those requirements that were implemented are done so fully. Furthermore, it’s shown that the latest technologies and frame-works not always are best-suited for usage. More well-tried methods and technologies can in some cases be more appropriate

Service Design durch Emotionen: Wertvolle Interaktionen im stationären Einzelhandel

Meyer, Michael, Geiger, Manuel, Robra-Bissantz, Susanne 11 March 2022 (has links)
