Proposal of a process layout of a two-floor building as a townhall with a kindergarten and a medical four territory.ŘÍPOVÁ, Jana January 2011 (has links)
The goal of my thesis was to work out a proposal of a process layout of a two-floor building as a townhall with a kindergarten and a medical four territory. The project documentation corresponded with the project documentation for building license. It was a typified object, it means without particular placement in terrain, which is likely to be repeatedly used in the process of building-up. There were two versions of the process layout suggested in the first phase. One of them was chosen and finished up to its final form, with help of the supervisor of the thesis. The townhall and the medical four territory is to be found in the first ground in the final version. There are two separate kindergartens in the second floor. The project respected law Nr. 183/2006 Sb. about land-use planning and a building act, its notices and valid norms.

This research investigated the application of visual effects in real time in the narrative construction of spectacles with projection. Starting from studies to construct a device directed to the application of visual effects in real time, we wanted to locate how it is possible to make such application in three different modalities of spectacles, that fall within the scope of works realized by the artistic group RE(C)organize, of which we are part, being: a musical show, a performance spectacle (being that these must integrate in their projects the videoprojection) and a presentation of video mapping, that is totally or partially, realized in a live form. The option for these modalities was made according to the professional affinity of the group. We seek, through a theoretical and practical process, to identify the effects that evidence a narrative discourse, in a symbolic and / or metaphorical way, as well as to detect those who had the potential to meet the demands of the live show, which we believe are: the urgency (in the sense that the work must happen in that unique instant) and the evidence (in the sense of characterizing the specific moment in a clear way) - which is discussed in detail throughout this project / Resumen: Esta investigación estudió la aplicación de los efectos visuales en tiempo real en la construcción narrativa de espectáculos con proyección.
This PhD. thesis is dedicated to combine compressed sensing with block structured acquisition. In the first part of this work, theoretical CS results are derived with blocks acquisition constraints, for the recovery of any s-sparse signal and for the recovery of a vector with a given support S.We show that structured acquisition can be successfully used in a CS framework, provided that the signal to reconstruct presents an additional structure in its sparsity, adapted to the sampling constraints. In the second part of this work, we propose numerical methods to generate efficient block sampling schemes. This approach relies on the measure projection on admissible measures.

Facilitating Human-Robot Collaboration Using a Mixed-Reality Projection SystemJanuary 2017 (has links)
abstract: Human-Robot collaboration can be a challenging exercise especially when both the human and the robot want to work simultaneously on a given task. It becomes difficult for the human to understand the intentions of the robot and vice-versa. To overcome this problem, a novel approach using the concept of Mixed-Reality has been proposed, which uses the surrounding space as the canvas to augment projected information on and around 3D objects. A vision based tracking algorithm precisely detects the pose and state of the 3D objects, and human-skeleton tracking is performed to create a system that is both human-aware as well as context-aware. Additionally, the system can warn humans about the intentions of the robot, thereby creating a safer environment to work in. An easy-to-use and universal visual language has been created which could form the basis for interaction in various human-robot collaborations in manufacturing industries.
An objective and subjective user study was conducted to test the hypothesis, that using this system to execute a human-robot collaborative task would result in higher performance as compared to using other traditional methods like printed instructions and through mobile devices. Multiple measuring tools were devised to analyze the data which finally led to the conclusion that the proposed mixed-reality projection system does improve the human-robot team's efficiency and effectiveness and hence, will be a better alternative in the future. / Dissertation/Thesis / Masters Thesis Computer Science 2017

Since Broadbent introduced cephalometric radiology method, in 1931, means are studied for minimizing its errors and effects. Projection errors are discussed since the first studies in cephalometry, but their consequences are not thoroughly understood. The object of this research work is to analyze projection errors effects on linear and angular measurements from Steiner and McNamara cephalograms. A sample of twenty lateral radiographs from patients with no symmetry problem was studied; each radiograph was taken on radiographic systems with identical specifications. Two treatments were analyzed: one for magnification correction and other to minimize distortion effects on symmetric anatomical structures. These treatments brought values that were compared to those obtained in a conventional way (with no correction for projection errors). These statistical comparisons were performed by Student's t test for paired samples. The following observations were found: angular measurements were not influenced by magnification correction; linear measurements were increased in the same proportion as the magnification factor for that radiographic system; and, results were influenced by the way bilateral points were handled. This research work conclusion was that changes from the correction of projection errors were significant.
