The problem of this survey highlights the figure of the teacher, his interaction with cyberculture and his teaching methodology, and presents itself as follows: how Chemistry teachers can use the blogging community MyOpera as virtual learning environment to teach Chemistry in high school? The teaching of Chemistry in these virtual environments is the focus of this research. In this context, it was analyzed the behavior of school in these post-modern times, from the perspective of Giroux, and how teachers of Sciences, particularly Chemistry, have not yet managed to extricate themselves from teaching based on traditional inductive-positivist common sense as Maldaner, Carvalho and Gil-Perez suggest. It was also studied the Digital Culture which appeared with the computer and became the “media of the medias” in the texts of Santaella and Lèvy. We also discussed how the new information and communication technologies (NICTs) can be used in the classroom within the constructionist reading patterns covered in Valente. Basing on Prado and Valente, it was discussed how the teacher's participation happens in constructionism. In field research, the study took into consideration the concept of design interaction by Preece et al., defined as a blogosphere in the light of Recuero, Barbosa and Granado and Lara, and the concept of virtual learning environment in the reading of Santos and Okada, justifying the building of virtual learning environment in the blogging community MyOpera. The field research raised data through questionnaires and interviews applied to two teachers responsible for the teaching of Chemistry in a military school located in Fortaleza, and to a group of 24 students from a class of second year of high school in this same institution. The interviews were analyzed by the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin and, at the end, it made us approach the goal of analyzing what was the influence of a virtual learning environment produced in a blogosphere, among the teachers in the teaching of Chemistry.

We have developed the study of this research-action with students from the high school second grade of Celso Alves de Araújo State School, from Cedro City, CE, with which the presented proposals were discussed, after a process of reflection, mediated by the teacher, it was evidenced the manner in which students conceive the submicroscopic concepts. From then, the suggested strategy was the one based on the use of images in order to facilitate and stimulate the retention of what was learned, since the image activates several brain abilities which stimulate and promote the creative thinking, helping thus on the memorization, since It has been proved that images are more memorable than words. We have developed collaboratively a class about the Evolution of Atomic Models using the software Visual Class, since it counts on the easiness of being able to be used without programming previous knowledge. The accomplishment of this task increased a lot the students‟ motivation, because they could express the studied concepts, in such a manner closer to their sensitiveness, since it demanded from them a deeper study and research on the subject. It was verified, through the use of conceptual maps, that the information received by them turned into more effective learning than when this same information are passed traditionally.

__________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work is placed within a context in which a Professional Master’s Degree of the Post-graduate in Science Teaching of the University of Brasilia, specifically within the Research in the Teaching of Chemistry: Concepts and Processes of Teaching-Learning. It has as its aim to develop a teaching-learning strategy based on theoretical-methodological principles of the Cooperative Learning (CL), attempting at: creating conditions for a better teaching of Chemistry contents, at contributing to the formation of a conscious citizenship, and at stimulating cooperative attitudes in the school and in the social environment. The guiding principles of investigation-action were adopted. The analysis was performed taking as a basis the register of students’ actions, organized by the Cooperative Groups, from August to September 2007, on a field diary along with the classes programmed by a Chemistry Unit Plan. Classes were recorded on digital filming and analyzed according to a matrix built up and according to the AC presupposed principles. Every information collected during the process was compared with the data of the Social e Cultural Questionnaire (QSC) and with the information obtained about the school context. The research work was carried out in a high school belonging to the High School System of the Federal District – FD, where low performance was detected together with the lack of motivation and high percentage of failures in Chemistry, this fact being attributed to the traditional approach to the teaching of Chemistry. This approach is linked to the relations and experience of the professors’ academic life, wich was ratified at the graduation level, initial formation when the necessary tools to deal with the dynamic process of teaching learning are not well applied adequately. The Cooperative approach gives the students the opportunity to work and interact with their colleagues, to learn while doing, to be true agents of the teaching learning process, thus providing the resources to fill in the blanks left by absence of students’ participation typical of the conventional approach. To carry out the present research a Unit Plan was structured based on the CA, and which set off the commitment to bargain meanings involving Chemistry knowledge contents, giving emphasis to the integral students’ formation, and where ethical questions were put forward involving citizenship. As a result of this research a text was prepared to give support to the professors stating what is expected from a Professional Master Course, which also included an explicit proposal of the theoretical/methodological framework of the CA. As opposed to the work of organizing the students in the classroom called ‘traditional group, a new working experience is presented within the cooperative groups.

In this sense stands out the role of the Science/Chemistry teacher, his role in the building of necessary knowledge with the purpose of putting the citizenship. On the other hand of the importance of the referred teaching and his professional it can be found the initial Science/ Chemistry teachers training courses that, in an defective way, impedes a well made training at the urgency of basic education, since it works in a desirable classroom, ignoring the problems and challenges of a knowledge that is getting more and more difficult to the modern world demanding. So, the initial science teachers training has been presented defective to face that challenge, since it is still based on the idea that the teachers role is simple, requiring just a specific group of knowledge field to put it into practice. This diagnostic has put two theses as opposite fields in the understanding of the science teachers training: technical rationality and practical rationality. The technical rationality is characterized as a reduced view of the teachers training process anchored in the knowledge combination of the contents and some pedagogical practices. Then the practical rationality understands the teacher as a researcher of his practice, that through the dialogue with his workmates, he is able to guide his future actions in a reflection-action, so a reflexive/ critical. On this context, this project looked for to investigate the PIBID roll training triads in initial and continuing training activities for teachers of science/ chemistry teaching basic network, educators from Vale do Acaraú State University (UVA) and undergraduate students from PIBID\\UVA. So it got together three actors, which it was mentioned (workshop and learning circle) aiming the development of rationality practice, the investigation used the deductive and inductive. The first one is characterized by the bibliographic research. The second one is related to field research. The analyzes used made reference to a qualitative approach. Related to the research level it was characterized as descriptive and using techniques of the research. The researches techniques used were questionnaires, interviews and the use of active observation and systematic, through a registration in a boarding agenda. The results shows the potential of training triads, which are inserted in the PIBID context, in order to bring closer the university and school; (b) enhance the initial training to a better perspective to the basic education reality; (c) strengthen in institutions (university/school) training partnership which understand the classroom as a formative and reflexive space.

__________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The main purpose of this work was to plan, apply and analyze pedagogic activities that incorporate socioenvironmental issues, starting with the approaching of a theme related to science-technology-society (STS) in Chemistry classes in High School. The Environmental Education (EE) has been proposed in the school path integrated to many disciplines with the purpose of promote changes of behavior, attitude and values. In this approaching, the environment needs to be seen in an expanded way, involving social and cultural aspects and not only natural aspects. Actually we are passing throw a crisis that goes beyond the relation between human being and nature, we are living a socioenviromental crisis. This socioenviromental crisis is strictly connected to the scientific and technologic development model wich requires reflection about the complicated interrelations STS. Inside this context of criticism against the scientific and technologic development, as well the consequences of this development to the society and to the environment, appeared a STS world movement that proposes the inclusion of the STS theme in the science education. A curriculum with the focus in STS must push away the idea of a neutral, absolut and unpersonal science going in the direction of a science that is near of student reality, bringing meaning to what is studied. Diferent of what is proposed in the traditional education of science, the curriculum with emphasis in STS is based in themes socialy important and presents an organization based in these themes. In this way, the introduction of socioenvironmental issues in Chemistry education in this work was done starting an approaching of STS theme “Industry, Chemistry and Environment”. This was done through the following activities: didatic explanations; text discussions; slides presentations; bibliographic researches and the internet; experimental class; visit to a soap factory; presentation of works in school fair of science; production of texts. The colected data to evaluation were result of notes in field diary; shootings; interviews with students; questionnaires application; and written works made by the students. The analysis tried to verify if the development of the pedagogic activities implicated changes in students perceptions about the environment and about concerns with socioenvironmental aspects. For that was done an exploratory analysis of given classes and analysis of written works made by the students. The results indicate that the attempt of introduce the STS theme was succesfull. The thematic discussion opened the possibility of reflection about STS interrelations and the comprehension and sensitivity of the students about the environment, inside a large perspective that incorporates social facts. Beyond that, the students showed identify that the classes were more joyfull and started to participate actively of the activities. In the end were proposed reflections about possible changes in the developed process to amplify the reach of the work and from that were suggested activities that concentrate socioenvironmental issues through the STS theme in Chemistry classes.

_________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / With the creation of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology, new courses in Chemistry were established throughout the country. There are some problems in chemistry courses, among which are: the great heterogeneity of groups formed, difficulty of students in chemistry, the great escape and a decrease in students' professional skills of the student graduates. To try to combat these problems, we proposed a curricular component entitled "Chemistry for Technical Education", to be used in the initial modulus of technical courses in Chemistry at the subsequent mode, with the aim of raising the level of learning of students who are entering the course, so that you can prevent dropouts, failures and improve the quality of our alumni. For the construction of a curriculum component was used as the theoretical basis of the principles of polytechnic, which underlies the relationship between work and education. In the theoretical framework, it was possible to carry out technical visits and develop a survey of teachers and students of technical courses in Chemistry. All activities of this work contributed to the development of a teaching module, which can be used by teachers of technical courses in chemistry, to develop a curriculum component according to their local needs. This work verified the need for an initial preparation for students enrolling in technical courses subsequent chemistry, but also foster greater discussion about the Teaching of Chemistry to the technical level.

_______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Science Communication for the general public is a topic of great relevance to the school context. More specifically, texts of popularization of science have been discussed in the literature as a teaching resource to supplement formal education. Research conducted on this subject shows that there are few investigations of the use of these texts in teacher training in school contexts. Therefore, the origin of our research is the almost complete absence of production of texts for disseminating science in initial semesters of teacher training courses. Considering this issue, we have written science communication texts under the following guiding principles: activity experimentation, history and nature of science, and the interface aspects of Science-Technology- Society –Environment. Furthermore, we investigated the relevance of these texts in the initial training of teachers in two Chemistry courses. The texts were related to the following themes: “What is Chemistry? What does a chemist do?”, “Food”, “Metals”, “Water” and “Atmosphere”. The texts were evaluated by students taking early and advanced semesters at University of Brasilia (UnB) and at Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC). The results showed that the texts are efficient in initial teacher education, since they allow future teachers to reflect on the various learning resources available and on the use of different teaching strategies. Also, it was possible to confirm what other studies reported in the literature regarding the gaps in initial teacher education concerning the understanding of the nature of science and the role of experimentation in science education

______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / It is increasingly common the presence of students with visual impairments in ordinary classrooms. The inclusion of these students in the school environment brings new challenges for teachers of Chemistry who, encountering them in their classrooms, wonder about which Chemistry content should be taught. From the standpoint of such students, comes the question: what sources of information they can use to get information to perform their school activities? Currently, the web is a major source of information for students who attend high school or graduation. Therefore, like others regular students, considered normal, students with visual disabilities have increasingly needed to use new technologies, including the computer and the web, to assist the development of their schoolwork. However, what we find in this work, when we talk about Chemistry content and Chemistry teaching, that the internet is not so accessible, which the vast majority of pages does not allow easy navigation for students with visual impairments. Due to the scarcity of pages with accessibility features that meet the needs of these students research and study, we constructed a web page with content of Chemistry www.acessibilidade.ppgec.unb.br - which has accessibility features, making their content accessible to students with visual impairments. The construction of this page aimed providing greater autonomy of study and research for students with visual impairments, in order to favor school and digital inclusion. For this, it was necessary to build a new Template, which allowed the construction of the website according with World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) criteria guide references that regulates the accessibility of digital content.
