O protocolo de treinamento de força (TF) 3x15:88s (sériesxrepetições:pausa entre as séries) é usualmente recomendado para hipertensos. Durante a execução dos protocolos de TF a pressão arterial (PA) se eleva expressivamente, o que pode gerar um risco de eventos cardiovasculares indesejados ao hipertenso. A manipulação da densidade de treinamento pode ser uma forma de amenizar esses picos de PA sem alterar o volume ou a intensidade do protocolo de TF. Objetivo: Comparar o efeito agudo da execução de dois protocolos de TF equalizados em densidade sobre as respostas cardiovasculares em hipertensos medicados. Materiais e Métodos: 12 hipertensos essenciais (48±8 anos) executaram dois protocolos de TF equalizados em densidade em dias diferentes e de forma aleatória: A)- 3x15:88s e B)- 9x5:22s com a intensidade de 50%1RM, em dois diferentes exercícios, extensão bilateral de joelhos (EBJ) e flexão unilateral de cotovelo (FUC). Os dois protocolos continham o mesmo número de repetições (45rep) e a mesma duração total de pausa (176s). A PA e frequência cardíaca (FC) foram constantemente monitoradas. Também foi medida a concentração de lactato, a percepção subjetiva de esforço (PSE) e a de recuperação (PSR). Resultados: A ANOVA de dois fatores (protocolo e tempo) revelou maiores deltas de PA sistólica (PAS) no protocolo 3x15:88s tanto no EBJ (+84±39 vs +67±20 mmHg) quanto no FUC (+46±25 vs +37±18 mmHg). Já a PA diastólica (+58±37 vs +39±13 mmHg) também foi maior no protocolo 3x15:88s, mas apenas no EBJ. O protocolo 3x15:88s apresentou maior PSE no EBJ e maior concentração de lactato no FUC. Além disso, os dois protocolos de TF geraram o mesmo estresse cardiovascular médio demonstrado pelo cálculo da área sob a curva de PA a cada batimento cardíaco. Conclusão: O protocolo 9x5:22s foi mais eficaz em reduzir o pico de PA do que o protocolo com característica aos recomendados aos hipertensos. Objective: To compare the acute effect of two RE protocols equated by work : rest ratio on cardiovascular responses in medicated hypertensive volunteers. Materials and Methods: 12 subjects (48±8 y) performed two RE protocols equated by work:rest ratio on different days and in random order: A)- 3x15:88s and B)- 9x5:22s with the intensity of 50%1RM in two different exercises, bilateral knee extension (BKE) and unilateral elbow flexion (UEF). The two RE protocols contained the same number of reps (45 reps) and the same total rest duration (176s). Blood pressure and heart rate (HR) were continuously monitored. Blood lactate concentration, rate of perceived exertion (RPE) and rate of perceived recovery (RPR) were also measured. Results: The two-way ANOVA (protocol and time) revealed higher systolic BP delta (SBP) in the 3x15:88s protocol in both BKE (+84±39 vs. +67±20 mmHg) and UEF (+46±25 vs. +37±18 mmHg) exercises. The diastolic BP (DBP) was higher in the 3x15:88s protocol only in the BKE (+58±37 vs 39±13 mmHg). In addition, the 3x15:88s protocol showed higher RPE in the BKE and higher lactate concentration in the UEF. Furthermore, the two protocols generate the same mean cardiovascular stress demonstrate by the blood pressure area under the curve. Conclusion: The protocol 9x5:22s was more effective in reducing the peak of BP than a protocol with the characteristics recommended to hypertensive patients (3x15:88s). Thus, the application of this protocol reduces the risk of cardiovascular events

Setenta e cinco corpos-de-prova (incisivos mandibulares humanos hígidos) com etiquetas adesivas com perfurações de 3,5mm de diâmetro foram adaptadas sobre a superfície lingual de cada dente. Esta delimitação tinha como objetivo padronizar a área da superfície de esmalte a ser condicionada e, posteriormente, mantida em contato com os materiais restauradores. Para realização dos nichos, matrizes foram realizadas para cada corpo-de-prova onde o material restaurador foi inserido. Os corpos-de-prova foram imersos em água destilada a 37ºC por um período de 30 dias. Para os ensaios de resistência à união, a máquina de testes mecânicos MTS modelo 810 foi calibrada utilizando uma velocidade de deslocamento de 0,5mm/min. Para os testes de limite de fadiga a máquina de testes foi calibrada para submeter cada corpo-de-prova a 10.000 ciclos constantes, com uma freqüência de 5 Hz, amplitude inicial de 0,5 mm e velocidade de rampa inicial de 100N/s. Os valores originais do experimento foram convertidos de N para MPa em função da área da base do nicho (circular) previamente calculada. Os corpos-de-prova após a fratura foram avaliados através de microscopia eletrônica de varredura com aumento de 500 vezes. A médias de resistência à união e limite de fadiga foram comparadas estatisticamente usando o teste de Análise de Variância a um Critério. Nos teste de cisalhamento, a resina composta Z-100 produziu maior valor de resistência de união (12,25 MPa) ao esmalte dentário que o ionômero de vidro convencional Fuji IX (7,21MPa). Não foram observadas diferenças entre os valores do material Fuji II LC (10,29MPa) e os demais materiais. Para todos os materiais, os corpos-de-prova testados por meio de ensaio dinâmico de... / The aim of this study was to determine the bond strength and fatigue limit of rest seats prepared with composite resin and glass ionomer cements. The lingual aspect of seventy-five specimens (intact human mandibular incisors) was delimited by adhesive tags with 3.5-mm diameter perforations. This delimitation aimed at standardizing the area of enamel surface to be etched and later kept in contact with the restorative materials. For preparation of the rest seats, matrixes were obtained for each specimen on which the restorative material was placed. The specimens were immersed in distilled water at 37ºC for a period of 30 days. For the bond strength assays, the mechanical assay machine MTS model 810 was calibrated at a displacement speed of 0.5mm/min. For the fatigue limit tests, the assay machine was calibrated so as to submit each specimen to 10,000 constant cycles, at a 5-Hz frequency with an initial range of 0.5mm and initial sloping speed of 100N/s. The original values of the experiment were converted from N to MPa according to the previously calculated circular area of the base of the rest seat. After fracture, the specimens were evaluated by means of scanning electron microscopy with magnification of 500x. The means of bond strength and fatigue limits were statistically compared through the one-way variance analysis. For the shear resistance test, the composite resin Z-100 yielded a higher value of bond strength (12.25 MPa) to the dental enamel than the conventional glass ionomer cement Fuji IX (7.21MPa). No differences could be found between Fuji II LC (10.29MPa) and the further materials. For all materials, the specimens submitted to dynamic fatigue assay tests yielded lower mean values than those achieved through static shear assays. Implementation and evaluation of a centralized hardware monitoring system for HP servers : A case study

In this thesis, a centralized hardware monitoring system for HP servers is developed at Ericsson in Linköping. The centralized system is then evaluated and compared to the current decentralized monitoring system. The results show that not only is the information displayed by the centralized system more detailed, but the configuration process for new servers is also simplified. Cost savings are also identified, since the same monitoring plugin and configuration script can be used for all server generations. Interviews with employees who work with monitoring on a daily basis also shows that they prefer the centralized monitoring system over the current decentralized system, however a high availability solution needs to be implemented for the central part of the monitoring system since it otherwise can become a single point of failure.

Integrated Predictive Model for Healing and Fatigue Endurance Limit for Asphalt Concrete

abstract: One of the main requirements of designing perpetual pavements is to determine the endurance limit of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). The purpose of this study was to validate the endurance limit for HMA using laboratory beam fatigue tests. A mathematical procedure was developed to determine the endurance limit of HMA due to healing that occurs during the rest periods between loading cycles. Relating healing to endurance limit makes this procedure unique compared to previous research projects that investigated these concepts separately. An extensive laboratory testing program, including 468 beam tests, was conducted according to AASHTO T321-03 test procedure. Six factors that affect the fatigue response of HMA were evaluated: binder type, binder content, air voids, test temperature, rest period and applied strain. The endurance limit was determined when no accumulated damage occurred indicating complete healing. Based on the test results, a first generation predictive model was developed to relate stiffness ratio to material properties. A second generation stiffness ratio model was also developed by replacing four factors (binder type, binder content, air voids, and temperature) with the initial stiffness of the mixture, which is a basic material property. The model also accounts for the nonlinear effects of the rest period and the applied strain on the healing and endurance limit. A third generation model was then developed by incorporation the number of loading cycles at different locations along the fatigue degradation curve for each test in order to account for the nonlinearity between stiffness ratio and loading cycles. In addition to predicting endurance limit, the model has the ability to predict the number of cycles to failure at any rest period and stiffness combination. The model was used to predict fatigue relationship curves for tests with rest period and determining the K1, K2, and K3 fatigue cracking coefficients. The three generation models predicted close endurance limit values ranging from 22 to 204 micro strains. After developing the third generation stiffness ratio model, the predicted endurance limit values were integrated in the strain-Nf fatigue relationships as a step toward incorporating the endurance limit in the MEPDG software. Endurance Limit for HMA Based on Healing Phenomenon Using Viscoelastic Continuum Damage Analysis

abstract: Perpetual Pavements, if properly designed and rehabilitated, it can last longer than 50 years without major structural rehabilitation. Fatigue endurance limit is a key parameter for designing perpetual pavements to mitigate bottom-up fatigue cracking. The endurance limit has not been implemented in the Mechanistic Empirical Pavement Design Guide software, currently known as DARWin-ME. This study was conducted as part of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Project 9-44A to develop a framework and mathematical methodology to determine the fatigue endurance limit using the uniaxial fatigue test. In this procedure, the endurance limit is defined as the allowable tensile strains at which a balance takes place between the fatigue damage during loading, and the healing during the rest periods between loading pulses. The viscoelastic continuum damage model was used to isolate time dependent damage and healing in hot mix asphalt from that due to fatigue. This study also included the development of a uniaxial fatigue test method and the associated data acquisition computer programs to conduct the test with and without rest period. Five factors that affect the fatigue and healing behavior of asphalt mixtures were evaluated: asphalt content, air voids, temperature, rest period and tensile strain. Based on the test results, two Pseudo Stiffness Ratio (PSR) regression models were developed. In the first model, the PSR was a function of the five factors and the number of loading cycles. In the second model, air voids, asphalt content, and temperature were replaced by the initial stiffness of the mix. In both models, the endurance limit was defined when PSR is equal to 1.0 (net damage is equal to zero). The results of the first model were compared to the results of a stiffness ratio model developed based on a parallel study using beam fatigue test (part of the same NCHRP 9-44A). The endurance limit values determined from uniaxial and beam fatigue tests showed very good correlation. A methodology was described on how to incorporate the second PSR model into fatigue analysis and damage using the DARWin-ME software. Cada vez es más frecuente ver que la industria de software se base en estándares y certificaciones de calidad. Esto ha despertado la iniciativa por parte de las empresas a realizar esfuerzos para mejorar sus procesos de desarrollo de forma continua, con la idea de obtener ventajas competitivas, y abarcar una mayor zona de mercado. Sin embargo, para las empresas, el proceso de adoptar las prácticas orientadas a una mejora de procesos resulta tener un elevado costo, que estas no siempre pueden abordar. Es aquí donde surge la idea de utilizar algunas de las prácticas de las metodologías ágiles, principalmente gracias a su nuevo enfoque de cómo lograr proyectos exitosos y además a la poca inversión inicial que requieren. Con el objeto de apoyar una de las iniciativas de la Agenda Digital, ha surgido el Proyecto Tutelkán, cuyo propósito es crear un mecanismo sustentable, que mediante un proceso público de referencia y una comunidad activa de apoyo, permita a las empresas nacionales contar con las herramientas y asistencia necesarias para iniciar la mejora de los procesos de desarrollo en miras a una certificación. Identificando necesidades reales del ambiente nacional, gracias a la inserción dentro de la industria se construyeron herramientas para el apoyo de administración de requerimientos y de riesgos, que reúnen tanto características provenientes de las metodologías tradicionales como de las metodologías ágiles, formando una plataforma de trabajo extensible e interoperable, gracias a su orientación de servicios. Todo con el fin de apoyar con herramientas de software que agreguen valor a este mejoramiento de procesos en el desarrollo, sin hacerlo más complejo o burocrático. La acogida desde las empresas fue positiva, reconociendo el valor que aporta a mejorar sus procesos y el apoyo que otorga para mejorar la imagen externa.

Diseño e Implementación de un Sistema de Información de Aprendizajes Esperados

Nuestro país ha experimentado grandes avances en el ámbito educativo, sin embargo las evaluaciones que se realizan en los establecimientos de educación básica y media, no han sufrido grandes transformaciones. Al evaluar a un alumno se obtiene una nota, la cual es un indicador que señala si éste comprendió la materia en gran medida, medianamente o deficientemente. Dicha evaluación, no permite identificar qué aprendizajes se adquirieron y cuáles no, dentro de lo que se evalúa. Lo anterior, podría llevar a que en ocasiones existan educandos que al finalizar el año escolar, no dominan plenamente los contenidos mínimos y necesarios para el aprendizaje de futuras materias. Probablemente, si el profesor pudiera identificar las principales falencias que tienen los alumnos en sus aprendizajes, podría gestionar en conjunto la mejora de dichos aprendizajes. Sin embargo, para lograr esto se requiere contar con una herramienta que procese, en forma rápida, la información relativa al aprendizaje de los alumnos, y que despliegue los resultados en un formato que sea fácil de comprender para el profesor. En el presente trabajo de memoria, se desarrolló un Sistema de Información de Aprendizajes Esperados (SIAPE), que apoya a los profesores en el diseño de evaluaciones, vinculación de exámenes contra los aprendizajes esperados de los alumnos, así como en la generación de indicadores que reflejan la brecha entre los aprendizajes esperados y los aprendizajes obtenidos. Para la realización del SIAPE, se recopiló información a partir de estudios realizados por expertos en el ámbito de la educación, se investigó sobre tecnologías de apoyo a la educación y se contó con la participación de profesores de un colegio de la región Metropolitana. Este colegio colaboró durante todo el desarrollo del SIAPE. Como resultado de este trabajo se pudo identificar que existe una necesidad de parte de los profesores, por contar con indicadores que entreguen información detallada sobre los aprendizajes adquiridos por los alumnos, y además que permitan gestionar el aprendizaje de los mismos.

Avaliação do acoplamento entre os ritmos atividade-repouso e temperatura cutânea em uma amostra de pacientes deprimidas

Distúrbios cronobiológicos na Depressão podem ser explicados pela perda do poder ou estabilidade circadiana observados pela diminuição da amplitude dos ritmos e o maior número de frequências ou ritmos ultradianos (ritmos com períodos menores que 20 horas). A perda da sincronização entre os ritmos pode ser decodificada pelos sistemas fisiológicos como um estressor, capaz de iniciar, acelerar, perpetuar e exacerbar sintomas neuropsiquiátricos, visto que há uma integração de redes rítmicas estruturais e funcionais Métodos Foram avaliadas 10 pacientes com Depressão Maior em seu primeiro episódio, ainda sem uso de medicação antidepressiva, 10 pacientes com Depressão Recorrente em tratamento e 10 controles saudáveis, todas do sexo feminino. O diagnóstico de Transtorno Depressivo foi realizado através do SCID e CID 10. Os sintomas depressivos foram avaliados através das escalas Beck, MADRS e Hamilton. Os ritmos biológicos atividade-repouso e temperatura cutânea foram medidos com o actímetro Act 1.1 durante 7 dias. Também se avaliou a exposição à luz de cada sujeito. Foi utilizado o teste de Kolmogorov-Smirnov para confirmar se as varáveis tinham distribuição normal. Parâmetros de ritmos e diferenças sócio-demográficas foram analisados através de ANOVA/Tukey. O coeficiente de correlação de Rank-Spearman foi utilizado para analisar a correlação entre temperatura e atividade. Para avaliar diferenças nos escores das escalas entre os dois grupos de deprimidas foi utilizado teste t de Student para amostras independentes. Para variáveis categóricas, foi utilizado o teste qui-quadrado. Resultados O grupo de deprmidas apresentou amplitude de temperatura mais alta e amplitude de atividade mais baixa do que as controles saudáveis. Também, a correlação entre temperatura e atividade nas deprimidas apresentou maior diferença durante o dia e durante a noite do que nas controles saudáveis. Não houve diferença significativa entre deprimidas no seu primeiro episódio sem medicação e pacientes com Depressão Recorrente com medicação no que se refere à amplitude dos ritmos de temperatura e atividade-repouso. Houve acoplamento dos ritmos estudados nos três grupos Discussão Em nosso estudo, as pacientes depressivas apresentaram maior amplitude de temperatura que indivíduos saudáveis, apesar do uso de antidepressivos; as controles saudáveis demonstraram menos diferença entre os ritmos durante o dia e à noite, o que talvez foi causado pela maior atividade em pessoas saudáveis mascarando o ritmo de temperatura. Outra explicação para o aumento da amplitude circadiana em pacientes depressivas é o aumento do arrastamento pelos zeitgebers externos, provavelmente para a manutenção dos mais robustos zeitgebers -social e biológico - que são essenciais para a vida. / Changes of circadian rhythms in Depression may be explained by the loss of power or stability circadian observed by decreasing the amplitude of the rhythms and the higher number of frequencies or ultradian rhythms (rhythms with periods less than 20h). The lack of synchronization between the rhythms can be decoded by physiological systems as a stressor capable of starting, accelerating, perpetuate and exacerbate neuropsychiatric symptoms, since there is an integration of rhythmic structural and functional network Method Were evaluated 10 patients with Major Depression first episode without antidepressant medication, 10 patients with Recurrent Depression treated and 10 voluntary healthy controls, all female. The diagnosis of Depressive Disorder was conducted through the SCID and CID 10. Depressive symptoms were assessed by the Beck, MADRS and Hamilton Depression Scale. The biological rhythms as temperature and activity-rest were measured with the actímetro Act 1.1 for 7 days. Exposure to light also was evaluated. We used the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test to confirm if the variables were normal distribution. Parameters of rhythms and socio-demographic differences were analyzed by ANOVA/Tukey. The correlation coefficient of Rank-Spearman was used to analyse the correlation between temperature and activity. To evaluate differences in scores of scales between the two groups of depressed was used Student's t test for independent samples. Chi-square was tsed for categorical variables Results Depressive patients presented higher amplitude of temperature, and lower amplitude of activity than healthy subjects. Also, the correlation between temperature and activity in depressive subjects present higher difference during day and night than healthy subjects. There was no significant difference between depressive patient in the first episode without treatment and depressive patient with Recurrent Depression in relation to amplitude of temperature and activity rhythms Discussion In our sample depressive patients presented higher temperature amplitude that healthy subjects, in spite of the use of antidepressant; the correlation between temperature and activity, healthy subject demonstrated less difference between day and night, than maybe the higher activity in healthy people can mask the temperature rhythm. Another explanation for increase circadian amplitude in depressive patients is the increase of entrainment to by external zeitgebers, probably for the mainttenancy of only robust social and biological zeitgebers that are essential for life.

Leeroy Group AB är ett IT-produktbolag i Sundsvall som även sköter support för sina produkter. Detta görs i ett egenutvecklat ärendehanteringssystem som under tid utvecklats och skräddarsytts efter verksamhetens behov. Leeroy är nu ute efter ett kraftfullare ärendehanteringssystem som skall ge möjlighet att ta hand om fler ärenden ju mer företaget växer. Detta examensarbete har inkluderat en grundlig förstudie bland de anställda på Leeroy. En kartläggning av krav och behov som finns för Leeroys' supporthantering har gjorts och sammanställts till en kravspecifikation. Leeroy har valt att titta på två stycken utvalda ärendehanteringssystem: Jira Service Desk och Zendesk. Utifrån den kravspecifikation som framkommit görs en dokumentations-inhämtning baserat på dessa krav och behov, för att sedan kunna presentera ett lämpligt alternativ för Leeroy. För att sedan ytterligare göra detta byta till en smidigare process har ett REST API och enklare webbapplikation utvecklats för att kunna hämta in kund-data från den befintliga kund-databasen. Webb-applikationen kommer att fungera som en koncept-applikation där man med sökning mot butiksnamn eller butiksnummer får ut all relevant information som Leeroys' supportanställda behöver.
