Využití marketingu v řízení malé a střední firmy / Using Marketing in Management of a Small and Medium-Size Business

Smejkalová, Kateřina January 2011 (has links)
diploma thesis at hand is titled "The Use of Marketing in Strategic Management and Planning in Small and Medium-sized Companies". The objective of the thesis is to create a meaningful, causal, systematic, and practically usable analysis of the given topic; and, subsequently, apply such academic knowledge in drafting a marketing strategy for the purposes of the company named SkiServis Kunžak (SPORT2000 Smejkal). The company in question is a retail outlet selling ski, snowboard, and cross-country ski equipment. Alongside with this, it provides servicing and rentals of the goods mentioned above. The needs of the company are determined by the need to respond constantly to evolving society and, in correlation, to increasingly dynamic and more demanding variability of the environment. At the current time, the most outstanding role is especially played by the social economic crisis. Creating a strategic marketing plan was selected as a key strategic weapon for SkiServis Kunžak. The principal means of achieving the objectives then include a selection of specific marketing communication strategy. SkiServis Kunžak (SPORT2000 Smejkal), a small company, had not elaborated their marketing strategy before this thesis was produced. Marketing and its issues had been tackled intuitively and randomly. To the largest extent, SkiServis Kunžak used to rely on word-of-mouth promotion in which satisfied customers would spread awareness of the company's existence and its scope of business. Given the varying conditions of existing markets, changes in values in society instigated by changes in values in individuals, and with regard to new demands, dynamics of competitors, etc., the management at SkiServis Kunžak (SPORT2000 Smejkal) decided to pay proper attention to the marketing strategy. The diploma thesis is divided into four major sections. The introductory section defines the root cause and motivation behind the selection of the topic for this thesis. Key questions are asked concerning the process of creating company's marketing strategy, and these are gradually answered during the process of tackling the subject matter. The second section observes the theoretical and methodological framework as a support for the following practical (applied) section. Theoretical grounds for the diploma thesis have been mostly compiled from professional literature. Thus, the theoretical module is prevailingly of compilation nature. Theoretical and methodological section is further divided into two subchapters. The first subchapter defines, in the given context, currently frequently used terms related to successful existence of small and medium-sized businesses in competitive market environment. Attention is paid to the following terms: "strategy", "innovation", "twenty-first-century marketing", "specifics of small and medium-sized companies", "strategic alliances". The second subchapter of the theoretical module specifies the strategic marketing plan. The text is structured and delivered in a more or less bullet point format because essential descriptions and contextual references are explained in preceding chapters. The text defines the following terms: "company's visions and targets", "marketing research", "critical success factors", "strategic situation analysis", "SWOT analysis", etc. The chapter also defines partial corporate strategy, i.e. marketing strategy. It specifies marketing targets that stem from company's targets and from a completed situational analysis. Out of all marketing strategies, the "marketing communication strategy" is considered best for the purposes of the applied section. The practical (applied) section, and the third module, takes into account former and existing facts relating to SkiServis Kunžak (SPORT2000 Smejkal) with a view of future orientation. Subsequently, the thesis introduces an applied situational analysis made through SWOT analysis followed by the draft of the marketing strategy itself through communication mix. The emphasis is, among others, put on the effort to "survive" the current economic crisis and preserve existing customers, increase company's market share, increase awareness of SkiServis Kunžak, etc. The final section synthetically summarizes fundamental results of individual analytic chapters. Also, the reader can find here an outline of the issues to be explored in the future.

A reciclagem e sua dinâmica reprodutora de uma situação de lumpemproletariado / Recycling and their reprodutive dynamics of a lumpemproletariat situation

The size of this importance can be seen in everyday life, in the process of transformation of the environment has been fostered in an ever more intense. This has contributed to intensify the degree of disposability of contemporary production, characteristic of the capitalist social formation. This disposability is not only the goods produced, but also of the worker, because a considerable portion of the working class has become dross, and the recycling material pickers are entered into this process. It is also a noticeable restructuring of the space from the creation / renovation of productive activities, which appear as responses to the needs of building and rebuilding of a new geography of labor under the capitalist social formation in the nineteenthcentury. Appears significantly also a new technical division of labor, which has at its core the spatial scaling of the working classes. This respatialization piecemeal work, ensures a lower resistance to exploitation and therefore maintaining the profitability of capital. Thus, we have several ways to absorb labor force in ways increasingly precarious as in the productive chain of recycling. There is thus of reproduction a lumpenproletariat situation that materializes in territories increasingly precarious. This instability, occurs mainly by loss of the ability of the working classes to control the dynamics of production/ social reproduction. Large portions of the working classes are then robbed even of their right to life. We are experiencing an extreme dehumanizing reality of the work, and collector expresses quite clearly this process.

Jose Dario Vargas Parra 10 May 2017 (has links)
The present work, Situations: from Technology to interaction between Art and Politics, aims to present ways through which aesthetic experiences in urban spaces generate resistance acts capable of an effective expression within the political practice. It is constituted by aesthetic experiments via poetic operations which resort to teleinformatics technologies. The hypothesis is that the aesthetic efficacy of such experiments, which use teleinformatics devices, makes evident the political-ideological potentialities contained in such media, which have been more commonly used in support of the Order and for the enhanced reproduction of capitalist production. In this context, the concept of \'situation\' is of much consequence for poetic experimentation, it expresses the key Idea of the Situationist International (SI) movement, which consists in the adoption of an \'experimental behavior\' as an affective intervention procedure in the conventional everyday urban environment, targeting its transformation into \'a higher passional quality\'. In Situations: from Technology to interaction between Art and Politics, stemming from the creation of a set of situations, we attempt to build a poetics of subversion, whose central objective is instituting a favorable aesthetic field for new community web experiences, open to collective participation, to dialogue and to the change of certain modes of production. The poetic operations carried out also intend to contribute to the production of interdisciplinary knowledge about the political domination devices, in the stage of capitalist development in which the production of cultural goods has become fundamental to the very amplified reproduction of capital itself, by means of the construction of two situations, \'Intransference\' and \'Tactical Unit of Active Communication - TUAcT, along with other poetic experiments, migrating works which, albeit not articulated with the situations, keep with them a close familiarity.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Teresa Cristina Roberto Farah.pdf: 8053575 bytes, checksum: fcbd622ca0bc7ad629104b12cab8e832 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-10-23 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / From the author's career as a speech therapist and psychopedagogist, in clinical experience that spans over thirty years working in private practice, in the care of children, adolescents and adults, it was recognized in her practice characteristics traditionally referred to psychotherapy. From this experience, the researcher realized the importance of conceiving clinic primordially on empathy. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to describe this course of construction. Through this presentation, the author intends to discuss the clinical situation in terms of the empathy experienced by both the therapist and the patient. To this end, lt will be presented a synthesis of Edith Stein's contribution on the subject of empathy. Stein conceives the empathic phenomenon as originating, previous to the psychic event. Will also be brought in this research, syntheses of the theoretical contributions of Gilberto Safra, and Clare B. Winnicott, as well as some of Donald Winnicott's concepts. These authors converge with regard to the importance attached to issues peculiar to the human condition, and their theories are, in some ways, similar to Edith Stein's contribution on the empathic phenomenon. The central element of the kind of clinic here addressed, is empathy, pre-sent in the human encounter as possibility of constitution and healing. The work is inserted in a form of qualitative research. The clinical method was necessary, since the construction of knowledge proposed is born in the author's proffessional experience. From this, the researcher develops a dialogue with the reader and with the authors in whose theories finds resonances with her experiences. Through this dialogue, presents a clinical case which was paradigmatic of the questions that guided this work and that may be found in the clinical work of other researchers / A partir do percurso profissional da autora, fonoaudióloga e psicopedagoga com experiência clínica que abrange mais de trinta anos de trabalho em consultório particular no atendimento a crianças, adolescentes e adultos, reconheceu-se em sua prática características tradicionalmente referidas às psicoterapias.

Copingové strategie osobních asistentek / Coping strategy in personal assistance

Bučková, Aneta January 2019 (has links)
The work of the personal assistant is a helping profession that belongs to the profession with a risk of a high level of stres, especially in long-term exposure to inappropriate working condition that can, in the end, developed into the burnout syndrom. In the theoretical part i define personal assistance, stress, coping strategies, resistance and burnout syndrome. The practical part is based on nine interviews with personal assitants, focused on stressors, coping strategies and conditions of their work in the organization, where they are employed. I found out personal assistants considered as the most important sources of stress children problematic behavior, communication with teachers and parents. Personal assistants are struggling in their work with feelings of helplessness, frustration from the childs stagnation, with feelings of guilt for childs problem behavior. In their work they are dealing with parents in mental discomfort and with problematic communication with teachers. The most used coping strategies of personal assistants are sense of usefulness and meaning of work, social support (information and support from parents of children, support of social workers of organization and supervision), relaxation, optimism, acceptance of situation, setting of borders, self- development. / The influence of emotional stimulius on the capture of attention.

Vieira, Rita Adriana Souza Silva 29 October 2007 (has links)
The principal objective of this study was to investigate, measuring choice reaction times, whether images depicting odontological routine can capture the attention of volunteers , as was demonstrated with other emotionally charged stimuli (positive: food, sex; and negative: blood, violence). Twenty four subjects participated, both men and women, between 18 and 30 years old, all graduate or undergraduate students at the University of São Paulo. We proposed to study the impact of odontologic images with a variation of a published protocol, in which subjects were asked to decide whether two bars, one on each side of a centrally presented picture, were parallel or not. A central figure (pertaining to one of three categories, neutral, negative or odontological) was presented between the two lateral bars for a short period of time, 200 ms. The performance of the subjects was compared for each one of these categories of pictures to evaluate the effect of odontological pictures compared with neutral and negative pictures. The higher the emotional content of the picture, the slower were the responses, and the higher the incidence of errors. With both negative and odontological pictures responses were slower and more errors were committed than in with Neutral pictures. These results corroborate the initial proposition of this study, showing that indeed odontological and negative pictures had similar effects on volunteers, slowing their responses as a result of capturing their attention.

January 2019 (has links)
Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Business Administration 2019

Flight deck crew coordination indices of workload and situation awareness in terminal operations

Ellis, Kyle Kent Edward 01 July 2014 (has links)
Crew coordination in the context of aviation is a specifically choreographed set of tasks performed by each pilot, defined for each phase of flight. Based on the constructs of effective Crew Resource Management and SOPs for each phase of flight, a shared understanding of crew workload and task responsibility is considered representative of well-coordinated crews. Nominal behavior is therefore defined by SOPs and CRM theory, detectable through pilot eye-scan. This research investigates the relationship between the eye-scan exhibited by each pilot and the level of coordination between crewmembers. Crew coordination was evaluated based on each pilot's understanding of the other crewmember's workload. By contrasting each pilot's workload-understanding, crew coordination was measured as the summed absolute difference of each pilot's understanding of the other crewmember's reported workload, resulting in a crew coordination index. The crew coordination index rates crew coordination on a scale ranging across Excellent, Good, Fair and Poor. Eye-scan behavior metrics were found to reliably identify a reduction in crew coordination. Additionally, crew coordination was successfully characterized by eye-scan behavior data using machine learning classification methods. Identifying eye-scan behaviors on the flight deck indicative of reduced crew coordination can be used to inform training programs and design enhanced avionics that improve the overall coordination between the crewmembers and the flight deck interface. Additionally, characterization of crew coordination can be used to develop methods to increase shared situation awareness and crew coordination to reduce operational and flight technical errors. Ultimately, the ability to reduce operational and flight technical errors made by pilot crews improves the safety of aviation.

The woman condition: love and technology in Hiroshima mon amour

Madella, Alessandra 01 July 2011 (has links)
This dissertation is a rhetorical study of the critical reception of the French film Hiroshima mon amour (1959; dir.: Alain Resnais; screenplay: Marguerite Duras). My main argument is that the themes of love and technology followed a dialectical progression in the critical reception of Hiroshima mon amour. They were important and politically charged in the first essays on the film at the turn of the Sixties. But they lost momentum and became more neutral due to the academization of Film Studies and to the rise of semiology that privileged linguistic abstractions. The return of the themes of love and technology in the Eighties signals the search for renewed forms of commitment. However, this commitment "through abstraction" is also predicated on forgetting. In fact, a different understanding of commitment does not allow remembering that Hiroshima mon amour was also a protest against the first French atomic test in Algeria and its colonial implications. My dissertation examines the limits of what can be said through different paradigms of criticism and commitment through the careful study of the rhetorical situation of each critical act. Jacques Derrida's twin concepts of aimance and of the peut-être guide my research. I examine how we can think Hiroshima mon amour on the background of the paradoxical communities that invented new forms of political participation in postwar France. The early debate on the representation of "mad love" in Resnais' film signaled a concern for the way in which modern technology undermined the binary oppositions between war/peace, civilian/military, and friend/enemy. The paradoxical communities that originated from this realization opened to rhetorical articulations that united people with no communal party membership. Derrida's politics of aimance carries on this reflection on the peut-être by targeting the traditional view that envisions the political as limited to the public sphere and tend to exclude women. By contrast, Hiroshima mon amour empowered women because it tapped into the dark territories of the private in order to show that modern technology had colonized the intimate and daily life. Hence, women critics could acquire a strong political voice from the oppression of the private.
