Inclusão digital como direito fundamental / Digital inclusion as a fundamental right.Gonçalves, Victor Hugo Pereira 16 March 2012 (has links)
The digital inclusion has been a theme much spread in politics and economics speeches, because the penetration of the information and communication technologies, who connected the whole world in seconds. With the internet, the net most visible in this technologies, the human being have access to datas, informations and knowledges that ever occurred in the History. The digital inclusion became a human need on account of his possibilities. Everyone must be connected. However, in result of this possibilities, there is a exuberance of speeches that intercrosses and not necessarily answers the perspective of digital inclusion, due to the fact that the most of the world population is excluded. In this matter, must be rethinked the digital inclusion beyond to the simple access a some information e communication technologies. The digital inclusion, as a historical need, possess a value that must be transformed in right to be used by human being against this exclusion. Therefore, the digital inclusion as a right must to question itself since the usability of the concept and his relevance until how to insert itself in the legal frame. So, to trespass this path, it was noticed that exist a gap between the speeches which pronounces the digital inclusion with practices that created exclusion. Therefore, the digital inclusion construction must be, to not generate exclusion, associated to a right. More than a simple right, to a fundamental right. The fundamental rights are product of fights against absolutism and are the tools of social transformation. It\'s only in this perspective that a digital inclusion will become relevant against exclusions actual and virtual as well. The digital inclusion as a fundamental right must be appropriated by human being to fight the exclusive practices.

Entre perdas e ganhos: homossexualidade masculina, geração e transformação social na cidade de São Paulo / Between losses and gains: male homosexuality, generation and social transformation in São PauloSaggese, Gustavo Santa Roza 13 March 2015 (has links)
Drawing on ethnographic research involving participant observation and in-depth interviews conducted between 2011 and 2013, this study investigates the way by which middle-class, middle-aged men from São Paulo experience and perceive transformations of homosexual visibility throughout their lives and most especially over the last three decades. Analyzing their discourses, I try to build with interlocutors a dialectic that takes into account both the subjective experience of belonging to a traditionally marginalized group and the socio-historical position they occupy. Various landmarks come into play, such as the end of the military dictatorship and the political openness in Brazil, the moral panics brought on by the emergence of HIV/AIDS epidemic in the mid-1980s and the participation of some in social movements. Subjects of heated debates in the national political scene, I also explore their positions on more recent events such as the emergence of LGBT Pride Parades and the clashes involving the recognition of same-sex unions and the criminalization of homophobic discrimination in the country. At the same time, I question the label generation and try to understand the differences they point between themselves and the younger.

The importance of value-based leadership : A framework of factors related to a manager's perception of value-based leadershipAhdrian, Matilda, Claudén, Emelie January 2019 (has links)
Background: Value-based leadership is needed and demanded in today’s complex and changing business environment. Values facilitate upcoming obstacles and difficult situations that everyone in an organization encounters. Hence, a manager should be able to lead and influence the entire organization towards these values, which make the role of the manager essential. Research argue for the effectiveness of implementing value-based leadership in organizations. Yet, less is known about how today’s companies and managers work with it, and what the factors are related to it. Research QuestionHow are managers working with value-based leadership and how can certain factors be related to it? Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe how managers both view and work with value-based leadership in terms of social transformation, organizational culture and leadership behavior. Further, to explain how certain factors are related to value-based leadership in the company. The study also aims to develop and broaden the academical field with a framework of value-based leadership in order to create a deeper understanding of value-based leadership in practice and its possible outcomes. Method: A qualitative approach was used during this study, where ten managers from four Swedish companies from the private sector were interviewed. These companies were chosen due to their awareness of value-based leadership and clarification of values. Theoretical framework: The framework consists of three theoretical blocks: value-based leadership, leadership behavior, and organizational culture. Based on this, an analyze model was created to facilitate the analysis of the empirical data. Findings: All managers and their companies are working in accordance with value-based leadership, but to different extents, which is partly due to social transformation in terms of a shift in generations and social sustainability. The factors trust and values are most emphasized and related to value-based leadership, while the factors organizational culture and self-leadership are less emphasized. Still, the authors claim that these factors are crucial in value-based leadership.

Previous issue date: 2014-02-04 / This research aims to assay the possibility of social transformation without State seizure, brought by John Holloway, the cracks. Such study is necessary considering the development of both the struggle in the organism of the capitalist state and the perspective of the current historical moment in the development of capitalist society which, according to the regulation theory, is going through a postfordist moment. Besides, taking into account the unsuccessful attempts of radical social transformation of the XIX century, the cooptation of social movements and political parties and that the experience was not able to shake the capitalist structures, the need to observe the limits and possibilities of political action will be seen. Holloway aims at presenting the transformative potential of social actions and the impossibility of improving social transformation through the state. Here, then, we will try to criticize his theories, especially with regard to the social forms theory, and thereof extract a social action critical theory.

Education as Social Transformation: Pragmatism, Philosophical Hermeneutics and the "Sea Change" in Contemporary PhilosophyNaimi, Kevin 29 November 2012 (has links)
In this thesis I characterize, through an analysis of some of the key themes and central insights of both Charles Sanders Peirce’s pragmatism and Hans-Georg Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics, what Bernstein (2011) has called a “sea change” in contemporary philosophy. I illustrate how their main insights are profoundly educational and how they offer us an effective means of reconceptualising what education means within the context of our world today. I will particularly stress two important elements of this ‘sea change’ that figure prominently in both Peirce and Gadamer’s work. First, the central importance of situated agency, and second, the affirmation of a relational process ontology. When taken together, these insights entail a conception of education that radically affirms the transformative potential of human agency based on the fecundity of educational experience. This ‘sea change’ will be presented in juxtaposition to the problematic modern/Cartesian framework that is current in educational thought today.

Social Transformation in Divided Societies: Willingness to Integrate Post-Power Sharing Agreement: The Northern Ireland CaseO'Callaghan, Elizabeth A 26 August 2010 (has links)
This thesis examines the factors which impact societal willingness to integrate in a post conflict, post power sharing agreement environment. Utilizing the Northern Ireland case, this study analyzes variance in willingness to integrate between Protestant and Catholic groups. Analysis of the Northern Ireland Life and Times survey data illustrates the shifting relationship between political trust and ingroup/outgroup frustrations on levels of willingness to integrate since the Good Friday Agreement. Statistical analyses indicate confirmation of ingroup attachment and elite political trust hypotheses, and reduced impact of outgroup benefit perceptions on willingness to integrate since the Good Friday Agreement.

This thesis investigates the evolution of the main square (Zò / calo) in Mè / xico City, Mexico, from pre-colonial times to the present in terms of its spatial characteristics and public life.
This thesis introduces wide-ranging information about Pre-hispanic America, mainly Aztecs and their urban culture / Spaniards, their background in Europe, and their colonial urban culture in America / and the culture of the Mexican Revolution.
After 1810, the & / #8216 / independence soul& / #8217 / created a nation of so-called & / #8216 / cosmic race& / #8217 / , whose aspirations were concretized through new political and social transformation of the main square. The new naming of the square as Plaza de la Constitucion and the demolition of the Pà / rian introduced this new concept. Even though later social and political developments changed the main character of the square, colonial urban texture still exists.
Zò / calo faced major modifications in its eventful history, but still demonstrates the traces of the transformation from Aztec Great Sacred Center, first to colonial town square (Plaza Mayor), second to the national square (Plaza de la Constitucion), and finally to the public arena (Zò / calo).
