A Comparison between Chatbots for Handling Administrative Healthcare Tasks / En jämförelse mellan chatbotar för hantering av administrativa vårduppgifter

Chatbots are used in many fields to reduce the amount of repetitive work. While chatbots are proved to be great help in retailer business, tourism related services, it is little known about usability of chatbots in more sensitive field such as healthcare. A study was conducted to examine the possibilities whether a chatbot could be used to automate administrative tasks within the Swedish healthcare. Three chatbots were developed, each one using different framework. Each chatbot was tested with participants acting as a patient, freely using each chatbot, and filling out a quantitative evaluation after the test. Results from participants'responses to the quantitative evaluation and SWOT analysis showed that chatbots are helpful, user-friendly and have the opportunity to integrate with various databases and many services. Participants preferred the chatbot that could handle voice interaction. The results also showed that the chatbots were helpful in registering cases and answering frequently asked questions. Additionally, it was observed that chatbots are efficient when their work is complemented by a healthcare specialist. This allows concluding that a chatbot is a promising potential tool to automate administrative tasks within the Swedish healthcare. / Chatbot är en teknik som används inom många områden för att minska repetitivt arbete. Det har bevisats att den har många tillämpningsområden inom detaljhandel och turism, men mindre forskning har gjorts om vilka användningsområden tekniken har inom mer känsliga områden, som t.ex. sjukvården. En studie utfördes för att utforska möjligheterna om en chatbot kan användas för att automatisera administrativa arbetsuppgifter inom den Svenska sjukvården. Tre chatbottar utvecklades, var och en med olika ramverk. Varje chatbot testades utav flera deltagare som agerade som en patient, med frihet att utvärdera varje chatbot, och fick fylla i en undersökning efter utvärderingen. Resultatet från deltagarnas svar från undersökningen och SWOT-analysen visade att chatbotar är hjälpsamma, användarvänliga och har möjlighet till att integreras med många databaser och tjänster. Deltagarna föredrog chatboten som kunde hantera röstkommunikation. Resultatet visade även att chatbotarna var hjälpsamma och kunde komplettera personal inom vården, med att registrera ärenden och besvara vanligt förekommande frågor. Genom dessa observationer kunde det fastställas att en chatbot är ett lovande verktyg för att automatisera administrativa arbetsuppgifter inom den Svenska vården.

Challenges and Opportunities of Reusing Materials in Construction (Sweden) : A PEST-SWOT Analysis

This thesis explores the challenges and opportunities of reusing construction and demolition waste within Sweden's construction sector, employing a PEST-SWOT analytical framework. The focus is on three primary materials prevalent in residential single-family houses: brick, concrete, and timber. The study identifies key political, economic, social, and technological factors that influence material reuse practices. The analysis highlights substantial barriers including regulatory complexities, lack of incentives, and the tendency to often prioritize new over reused materials due to perceived risks and higher costs associated with reuse. Despite these challenges, the research identifies significant opportunities for advancing material reuse. These include the potential for implementation of technological advancements in material processing, and growing public and governmental support for sustainable construction practices. The thesis goes forward by proposing strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing the adoption of reuse practices, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and resource-efficient construction sector in Sweden. / Demand trust for circular building materials

Development of a decision-making procedure for outsourcing engineering services in TxDOT

The trend to outsource the engineering functions in state departments of transportation (DOTs) to private consultants has increased in recent years. However, most DOTs do not have a strategic approach to the outsourcing of engineering functions or projects. This thesis addresses that gap by examining outsourcing decision-making in the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and developing a rationalized procedure. TxDOT, the largest state DOT in terms of annual construction program,expends about 65% of its engineering on consultants. Staff from 18 of TxDOTs 25 districts were interviewed for this research, and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) Analysis is used to identify improvements to the current decision-making processes. A framework is presented for systematic assessment of the outsourcing potential of engineering functions, which would enable TxDOT districts to determine what engineering work to contract out cost-effectively without sacrificing core competencies. / text

退撫基金成立之目的主要為解決經費來源以減輕政府財政負擔,而退撫基金運作迄今已逾十年,退撫基金管理運用機構因受組織屬性、功能及人力之限,經營績效無法大幅提昇,因基金規模不斷成長,參加基金人數及支領定期給與之退休人數亦快速增加,面對日增之業務量,似有必要針對基金管理機構組織屬性、功能及人力配置等重新審視檢討。 鑑於基金運作之良窳,對於退撫基金支付能力具有關鍵性的影響,且涉及全國軍公教人員及各級政府退撫經費之負擔,因此,基金管理機構是否有適當之組織結構,能否採行企業化經營以靈活妥善運用基金,以及如何因應現有制度與管理上之缺失,創造高收益率以穩固退撫財源,均為本研究之重點。時值政府為提升國家整體競爭力,積極推動更具彈性與企業精神之「行政法人」,本研究乃分別就德國、英國、日本公法人制度,以及世界主要國家退休基金管理現況進行文獻探討,再針對我國退撫基金管理及運用現況進行檢視分析,復對基金管理會現職員工以問卷調查其對機關改制為行政法人之態度,並輔以深度訪談及SWOT分析等方法,以探究我國退撫基金管理機構行政法人化之可行性。 茲據研究結果發現,基金管理機構因受組織屬性、功能及人力之限,退撫基金管理無法獨立運作,致影響經營績效之提昇,其業務性質確具專業性,應頗適合行政法人化,惟因尚有潛藏負債、最後支付責任、行政法人法草案尚未建置完成以及現實上之政治生態等諸多考量,故建議其如擬行政法人化,應先明確區分政府及行政法人之潛藏負債及最後支付責任,並宜配合退休制度一同考量。 / The purpose of establishing Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF)mainly focuses on reducing the financial burden of the government. However, after more than ten years of operation, the performance of the pension fund still cannot significantly improve due to the limitation of attributes, functions and human resources of organization. This, together with the adjustment of contribution rates to reflect the normal costs, has received universal condemnation and worries about how to improve the operation of the fund in order to relieve the pressure of raising contribution rates. Due to the gradual increase of workloads caused by the continued growth of fund scale, fund participants and the number of retirees receiving regularly payments, it seems to be necessary to inspect and review the attributes, functions and human resources of the fund management agency. As the quality of the fund operation has crucial effects to the payment ability of the PSPF, and the expenditure burden of all fund participants and different levels of local governments, whether the fund management agency has proper organization structure, whether it is suitable to adopt the craft industry, and how to cope with the drawbacks of present system and management are the main points of this research. While the government is actively boosting “administrative corporation”, which is more flexible and possesses business spirit, with the aim of promoting integral competitiveness of the government, this research first literarily discusses public corporation system of Germany, Britain and Japan, and the current management state of main countries in the world. This is followed by an analysis of current management and operation state of the PSPF, and questionnaires filled by the employees of the Management Board of PSPF to understand their opinions on changing to administrative corporation. The analysis is reinforced by a deep interview, SWOT analysis and so on to investigate the feasibility of administrative corporation system for the management agency of PSPF.. This research finds out that being unable to operate independently, due to the limitations of organization attributes, functions and human resources, the PSPF’s management performance has been negatively influenced. Judging from agency functions, “administrative corporation” can be a suitable system for the organization. However, with considerations like inclined liabilities, final disbursement duty, and the Administrative Corporation Act still pending for legislative approval, it is suggested that a clear distinction between the inclined liabilities and final disbursement duty of the government and the administrative corporation has to be made, together with a consideration of the retirement system, before the “administrative corporation” system is put into real practice.

The main objective of the wortk is to find out the current marketing situation of the tennis club and suggest a strategy, which guarantees its better future progress. Methods: For the research and getting necessary informations, following analysis have been applied: PEST, SWOT, competition and resources analysis. Results: The work describes the current situation of the marketing in the tennis club. In the final part, based on Ansoff's strategy, the new strategy have been suggested, which guarantees better prosperity and functioning of the tennis club in Liberec. Title: Management and marketing of the project Sports talent of the year and its implementation for period 2014-2015 Targets: The aim of this thesis is to propose improvements of the project Sports talent of the year for period 2014 - 2015. The project is focused on healthy lifestyle of the primary school pupils in the Czech Republic. The author based on analysis of previous years which were realized by a profit organization. His own contributions are made by the implementation of the project. Methods: There is a case study used to analyze the information about the project Sports talent of the year. Analysis of the conditions is carried out with the aid of PEST analysis, Porter's model of five forces, and analysis of resources. SWOT analysis is applied to synthesize previous analyzes. Results: The study revealed gaps especially in the management activities of the project Sports talent of the year. The greatest gaps can be seen in the branch of staffing, marketing and communications and financing. The analysis includes comparison of given information with theoretical acknowledgement. The aim of the diploma thesis is to recommend some changes of marketing mix of Classic Ski School in Rokytnice nad Jizerou that could be helpful in following seasons according to the given comparison. Methods: The main method of collecting data needed for this diploma thesis is an interview. Interview was given personally and via mobile phone by management of Classic Ski School in Rokytnice nad Jizerou and by ski school's customers. There is also SWOT analysis provided in the diploma thesis, where internal and external factors of Classic Ski School are being evaluated. Results: While analysing the marketing mix of Classic Ski School in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, an insufficient usage of some parts of marketing mix - for ex. Packages, Programming - was found out. Title: Strategic planning in sports clubs - TASK Silueta Praha Objectives: The objective of this diploma thesis is to conduct a strategic development plan for the competitive part of the sports club TASK Silueta Praha. The plan will be created for the time period between the 1st July 2011 and the 30th June 2014. The individual steps of strategic planning represent the partial tasks of the thesis. Methods: The analysis of TASK Silueta Praha takes form of a case study. In order to gain an in-depth knowledge about the current situation and the future opportunities of the club a series of research methods is used. These represent in particular: qualitative interview, analysis of texts and documents, survey and SWOT analysis. Outcomes: TASK Silueta Praha is a very attractive sports club for children and youth from the whole Prague area. Title: Management of the sport event Chance 3x3 Tour Objectives: The aim of this master thesis is to evaluate the organization of the sport event and suggest concrete arrangements for improvement of the upcoming years. Methods: The analytical part of the thesis was conducted through the qualitative research. Qualitative research methods, which are used in this work, are hidden observation, document analysis, unstructured interview and SWOT analysis. Results: There were suggested some recommendations on the basis of the SWOT analysis for the upcoming events. Analysis of the action revealed some shortcomings that should be eliminated thanks to these recommendations.
