By the help of languages HTML and PHP is created simple application susceptible data access from database: adding, editing, addition entries, etc . System further makes it possible to potluck testing questions of several perimeters and according to type generated test. Next function is generation question and correct answers in size PDF and HTML by the help of system latex.

This diploma thesis deals with a central user identification and personal data management on the Internet. The first part analyzes questions of a identification process and discusses the requirements for implementation, security and user-friendliness. Subsequently, the process is designed with respect to the defined requirements. A detailed overview of possible attacks to the system and means of protection against them is also included in the thesis. The described methods are as follows: Phishing, Man in the middle, hardware modification and acoustic keypress emissions. A practical design of a identification system is discussed in the second part of the thesis. It consists of two parts: a library implementable to individual Internet services requiring a user identification and a server centrally identificating the users and storing their personal data and passwords. An implementation in Joomla content management system is also described.

The aim of my diploma thesis is to introduce the problematic of today’s videoconference system and to compare the existing solutions. First chapters of my work are dedicated to a description of the theory of the conference system. Furthermore there is described the application Skype and application WebEx. These are the projects that are the nearest to the submission of this work. On the basis of the acquired information, the thesis is dealing with the creation of my own solution of video conference system. In the third chapter there are described all the used technologies needed for the realization of the project. The thesis is then dealing with the creation of own client on the platform Silverlight. This client is working on the components that play the multimedia content and on the service WCF RIA. After the part dedicated to a creation of the client, there are described the settings of services Windows Server 2008, on which the solution is realized. There are described the settings of services of web server, services of multimedia media, settings of SQL server and usage of program Windows Media Encoder. The last part is dedicated to a testing and plotting of the functionality of created video conference system. In the conclusion of the work there are evaluated the results of the work and described possible directions, where the development of the client of video conference could proceed.

Master thesis deals with the problematics of webpages hosting in the Czech Republic. The goal of the thesis is to design a procedure and to implement an application for automated determination of whether a particular website is operated on a third party server or an own server of the organization or the individual. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part of the thesis lays a theoretical base concerning principals, protocols and services which are necessary for providing availability of the webpages with special attention to the specifics of the Czech internet environment. In the practical part there are several approaches to the analysis of the obtained data proposed. On that basis there is designed and in the form of the detection application implemented an algorithm which goal is to determine whether the submitted webpages are placed on a shared server and to collect the information about their hosting. In the last part of the thesis the application runs based on the created database of webservers organized by the categories of the webserver operators. In this analytic part the obtained output information about these webservers hosting are processed and presented together with the relevant context concerning the hosting of these webpages in the Czech Republic.

Computer-Mediated Communication as Situated Phenomenon in Massive Multiplayer Online Servers : A Minecraft-based investigation

The present study investigated Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) as situated phenomenonin Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) servers. The popular videogame of Minecraft was chosen as a testbed to examine CMC within its simulated environment. Previous research on videogames explored CMC without considering the role of the server. This research suggests that the onlineserver represents an integral part of the digital environment, in which communication is situated. Data were collected from four servers that shared the same game play mode. A total of 11,658 chatmessages were collected and analyzed with Basic Content Analysis based on word frequencies. Codes were developed and sorted into three predetermined categories: socioemotional positive, socioemotional negative and task area. Results showed that communication significantly differed between almost all servers. Furthermore, it also appeared that in three of the four servers, communication varied between the two weeks of recordings. Future research on CMC is encouraged to consider the role of the online servers. The social construct that may be represented by the MMO servers ought to be explored more thoroughly. / I föreliggande studie så undersöks datormedierad kommunikation (CMC) som fenomen baserat iMMO-servrar (Massive Multiplayer Online). Detta utförs genom det populära TV-spelet Minecraft. Tidigare forskning har fokuserat på CMC utan att överväga olika servrar som faktorer. Resultatet av föreliggande studie indikerar att online-servern väsentligen hör ihop med den digitala miljön, där den kontextuella kommunikationen sker. Datainsamling skedde från fyra servrar som har överensstämmande spellägen. Totalt 11 658 chatmeddelanden samlades in samt analyserades genom innehållsanalys vilket baserades på ordfrekvens. Koder utvecklades och sorterades i tre förutbestämda kategorier: socioemotionell positiv, socioemotionell negativ och ”task area”. Resultatet indikerar att kommunikationen skiljde sig signifikant mellan servrar. Dessutom såvarierade kommunikationen mellan de två veckorna av insamlade data på tre av fyra servrar. Framtida forskning rörande CMC bör vidare överväga serverns roll. Därutöver bör det sociala konstrukt som framkommit ur MMO-servrar vidare utforskas.

What is crucial for an alarm server to work correctly? Companies these days are reliant on alarm servers to stay operational continually. Therefore, these servers must be correctly tested. This is where load testing comes in. By performing load testing before placing a server in production, the company can be confident it stays operational even when handling heavy loads. By automating the process, we ensure quality assurance of each test and leave human error out of it. In this thesis, we describe our research regarding Locust, an open-source tool for load testing, the important parts of testing and the methods employed in our software. First and foremost, the research gave us valuable insights into the basic principles of load testing. What aspects must we include, and what tests should we perform? Furthermore, it helped us conclude that Locust is the best open-source tool for our purpose due to its outstanding performance compared to JMeter. Developing the software could then be executed with a mixture of work from the Locust documentation and instructions given by the partner company. The most important aspect of Locust is the load shape construction and metrics to be recorded. Instructions from the partner were for the software to be able to integrate into their CI/CD pipeline (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) and for parameters to be input for scaling the load test. Finally, while metrics are recorded and showcased, the thesis does not evaluate the quality of the alarm server. The metrics showcased are used to ensure the functionality of the test. Instead, the metrics collected will be evaluated in the pipeline by the company in the future. The results achieved fulfilled all the tasks given except for the input parameters that were limited due to the functionality of Locust.

Optimal Server Allocation in Zero-Buffer Tandem Queues

<p>We study the server allocation problem for tandem queues in the absence of intermediate buffer space. Servers are assumed to be homogeneous and non-collaborative. We provide policies to maximize the throughput. We break down our work into four stages. First, we assume that all servers are dedicated. We propose an allocation algorithm that assigns servers to stations based on the mean service times and the current number of servers assigned to each station. The algorithm is proposed for stations with exponentially distributed service times, but where the service rate at each station may be different. We further study the impact on the proposed allocation method of including service time distributions with different coecients of variation. Second, we consider tandem queues with both dedicated and flexible servers. We examine policies to dynamically assign flexible servers. When there is one flexible server and two stations each with a dedicated server, we completely characterize the optimal policy. We use the insights gained from applying the Policy Iteration algorithm on systems with three, four, and five stations to devise heuristics for systems of arbitrary size. Third, we study cases where flexibility is constrained such that flexible servers can only service two adjacent stations. We provide optimal policies for tandem queues with three and four stations and compare them with optimal policies for corresponding non-constrained cases. Fourth, we consider two parallel tandem queues with both dedicated servers and vertical flexible servers - servers that can move between corresponding stations of the two tandem queues. The workload allocations are the same for each line and each vertical flexible server moves only between two corresponding stations. We examine policies for dynamic allocation of these vertical flexible servers. When each tandem queue has two stations, each station possesses a dedicated server, and a vertical flexible server exists for each pair of stations, we specify the optimal policy. For cases with more than two stations, heuristic assignments are proposed. We also analyze the throughput improvement gained from adding flexible servers within a tandem queue or between two parallel tandem queues.
