______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / By the everyday it is understood what occurs or what is practiced every day or habitually. It is, therefore, a representation of the being of each one, through the day-to-day movement of people. The deictic categories: time, person and space, associated to the verbs love, enjoy, work and communicate by symbols, represent intrinsic human activities. It is understood that the same can be involved to a greater or to a less degree, in every and any crisis of the individual. The main objective of this study is to understand the activities of the everyday life, through the verbs: love, enjoy, work and communicated through symbols of mental health professionals that work in units of the Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS), and the specific objective is caring for the feelings and perceptions of the same population in the light of the verbs mentioned. Statistical research was collected from data through semi-structured, recorded and transcribed interviews. The locations are three CAPS units in the countryside of Goiás. It was carried out in November 2010 and January 2011. The participants included nine health professionals of the mentioned institutions. The study was approved by the Ethic Committee of UniEVANGÉLICA, under the official letter no 080/ 2010. Descriptive analysis was done through Alceste software in addition to the submission of the same discursive body for thematic analysis. The results pointed to three categories: work and pleasure, relationship: love and communicate, work and displeasure; and four classes closely relate to the categories: work and pleasure, love, communicate and work, displeasure. The class ‘work and displeasure’ pointed to a modalized defense through the projection that leads them to doubt the capacity to modify, innovate and realize quality service. The verb ‘love’ is relevant to sharing, being necessary intimacy, implication and empathy in the CAPS in the conclusion of the movement towards transformations. As for the class ‘communicate’, they reveal difficulties in expressing themselves, albeit being this verb considered “fundamental”. In the class ‘work and pleasure’, pleasure is not found in work activity, but in the recompense of the same. To have pleasure in life is not found as an isolated category or class, but it is distributed in the activities mentioned. A dilemma is observed at work explicit in negation and projection mechanism. We conclude that we are dealing with a neurosis of collective doubt, evident by the affective verbs: want, can and should. Doubt paralyzes the person relevant to instantiating the desires. The verbs listed here make-up a part of the everyday of all of us, which is no different in the researched group, being discussed in detail throughout the dissertation.
