Mentoring začínajících učitelů ve Finsku / Mentoring novice teachers in Finland

Králová, Anežka January 2018 (has links)
This thesis introduces a topic of mentoring of novice teachers in Finland. The main goal is to analyse a novice teachers peer-group mentoring model as a case study of project Paedeia Café and evaluate its advantages and disadvantages in comparison to dyadic form of mentoring. Further, to bring ideas for implementation of Finnish experiences into Czech context. In theoretical part, we define mentoring in teaching profession, then we briefly introduce specifics of Finnish education system, peer-group mentoring and Paedeia Café. The research part analyses interview with mentors, novice teachers and manager of the project as well as participating observations. The results of the study show that Paedeia Café is a project which connects experienced teachers and students in last years of their studies. The advantages of the project are financial savings and creation of a space for discussion about professional issues. Disadvantages are more difficult structure, confusion of mentor's roles and low support in academic literature. In the Czech Republic, we can be inspired by a connection of experienced teachers and students, also by a space for sharing teaching profession experience in informal atmosphere. This thesis is a contribution to a discussion about the teacher career system in the Czech Republic...

Application à un constructeur automobile / Optimization of international logistics with a strategic horizon. Application to a car manufacturer

Suon, Médéric 10 February 2011 (has links)
Logistics is a major challenge for the competitiveness of multinational enterprises. Logistics performance is largely defined in the design of the logistics network. Applied to the car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen, a decision support approach is proposed to optimize the location of investments in manufacturing capacity and the location of production volumes. This problem of international logistics network strategic planning is divided into three sub-problems of increasing complexity each giving rise to a literature review and proposals for methods of heuristics or metaheuristics optimization. These methods are validated on sets of test data as well as an industrial case study. A prototype implementation of the decision support system integrated into the company's information is presented.

A Statistical Clinical Decision Support Tool for Determining Thresholds in Remote Monitoring Using Predictive Analytics

January 2013 (has links)
abstract: Statistical process control (SPC) and predictive analytics have been used in industrial manufacturing and design, but up until now have not been applied to threshold data of vital sign monitoring in remote care settings. In this study of 20 elders with COPD and/or CHF, extended months of peak flow monitoring (FEV1) using telemedicine are examined to determine when an earlier or later clinical intervention may have been advised. This study demonstrated that SPC may bring less than a 2.0% increase in clinician workload while providing more robust statistically-derived thresholds than clinician-derived thresholds. Using a random K-fold model, FEV1 output was predictably validated to .80 Generalized R-square, demonstrating the adequate learning of a threshold classifier. Disease severity also impacted the model. Forecasting future FEV1 data points is possible with a complex ARIMA (45, 0, 49), but variation and sources of error require tight control. Validation was above average and encouraging for clinician acceptance. These statistical algorithms provide for the patient's own data to drive reduction in variability and, potentially increase clinician efficiency, improve patient outcome, and cost burden to the health care ecosystem. / Dissertation/Thesis / Ph.D. Engineering 2013

The problem consists of arranging items (boxes) of different sizes inside a large object (container) to maximize the occupied container volume while respecting the imposed constraints. Four methods are investigated and compared due to vertical cargo stability, in which three of these methods are proposed in this work and based on the equilibrium of rigid bodies, and the other one is based on the factor of support of boxes bottom faces. In the case of the factor of support, a set of constraints can be inserted totally in the integer formulation, while in the other methods cutting planes are inserted during optimization of the formulation by a branch-and-cut algorithm. Computational tests on instances from the literature show that the usage of a factor of support underestimates the value of the optimal solution. The computational tests showed that the use of the factor of support may underestimate the solution, but its use with integer linear programming models has the advantage that feasible solutions are stable, while the other developed methods only verify stability and thus they depend of the integer linear program to return feasible solutions more quickly. By the way, the methods for the cargo stability developed here also overcame the factor of support for tests involving different types of mesh to pack into the container.
