Le cinéma de Jia Zhang-ke : un cinéma de la mutation au cœur du jianghu / The cinema of Jia Zhang-ke : a cinema of transformation into the heart of the jianghu

Cano, Emmanuel 19 September 2015 (has links)
The independent Chinese cinema develops in the 1980s, while China has just begun a policy of openness and modernization. The country, the growth of which is exceptional and continuous, quickly becomes an emergent economic power. It so knows a process of transformations which upsets its territories and the living conditions of its populations. Jia Zhang-ke, who is one of the main Chinese independent film-makers, works throughout his work to film and to question this process of transformation. His project is to keep a track of what the transformations destroy, remove, of what replaces it, and also of this same moment of the transformation. To try to film this passage, Jia Zhang-ke operates cinematic devices of jump ball and alternation, taking root in the inheritances of the Chinese pictorial art and the European film modernities. His cinema, in that respect, questions the process of globalization, and participates in the elaboration of the knowledge, at the same time as he can be considered as a shape of resistance.

Estudando matrizes a partir de transformações geométricas

Stormowski, Vandoir January 2008 (has links)
This work has as its main goal the formulation, implementation and contemplation of a didactie sequence to the study of matrices from geometric transformations. The didactic sequence intends to propitiate the student a study which justifies the definitions of operations between matrices and their respective properties, from the observation and analysis of some geometrie transformations, so that they are able to redo the historical process of the definition and the acquisition of these concepts. Besides that, it shows some activities to the application of matrices, in which the composition and interation of geometric transformations in the Shapari software generate some fractals. We have adopted Didactic Engineering as a methodology to the elaboration, implementation and evaluation of the proposed didactic sequence. The text also shows an analysis of the references about the teaching of matrices and the geometric transformations. We delimited and justified our teaching proposal by staring with orientations of official documents and showing a series of studies about the theme. Besides that, we show an excerpt about the mathematical knowledge involved in the theme, so that, it can be used as basis to the teacher who decides to implement the didactic sequence in the classroom.

Closs, Lisiane Quadrado January 2009 (has links)
Due to change, complexity, paradox and uncertainty in the organizational context, faced with technological innovations and with global ethical, political, environmental and socioeconomic problems, managerial learning becomes vital. The study aims to understand management learning processes and the implications of these transformations in their learning, integrating transformative learning theory, which emphasizes critical thinking and independent thought to analyze these issues. The life history approach is used to investigate processes of learning in macro contexts and in specific contexts, including levels of interaction, objective and subjective aspects of seven managers and their communities. The results show the link between learning occurring at the professional, personal and family levels as well as between development and lifelong learning. The study highlights learning process involving changes in meaning schemes and perspective transformation in deep changes, the role of intuition in complex problems and of emotion in these processes. Contemporary changes that require learning include globalization and its consequences in the Brazilian context, new technologies, the increased participation of women in the labor market and socio-environmental responsibility. These changes involve new thoughts, attitudes and feelings, in careers and family arrangements of the subjects studied. They also emphasize selfdirected learning, constant recycling of knowledge and the overcoming of expectations for professional growth. The learning needs focus on the development of social skills related to interactions (in the management of people, in the creation and maintenance of networks, and in the balance between their spheres of life); to the perception of changes and prediction of the future; to the self-development of patience, tolerance, control of anxiety and selfconfidence among other issues lacking in management education.

Examination of stress-induced transformations within multicomponent pharmaceutical crystals

Schneider Rauber, Gabriela January 2018 (has links)
Crystal engineering has advanced the strategies of design and synthesis of organic solids with the main focus being on improving the properties of the developed materials. Research in this area has a significant impact on large-scale manufacturing as industrial processes may give rise, at various stages, to stress-induced transformations and product modification. This thesis investigates the solid-state properties at play in the case of the surface and structural reorganization which results from the stress within a crystal during the drying of labile multicomponent organic solids. Chapter 1 introduces various concepts in solid-state chemistry and explores their application in the manufacture of solid pharmaceuticals. The significance of stress-induced transformations during the drying process is illustrated by reactions associated with crystal decomposition processes such as dehydration, desolvation and sublimation. The chapter also introduces carbamazepine (CBZ) multicomponent materials as models for the studies of stress-induced transformations. Chapter 2 presents the experimental section of the work and describes the materials, methods and equipment used for the study. Chapter 3 presents the analysis of the various crystal structures of CBZ. The crystal forms are classified with an emphasis on a comparison of intermolecular interactions, coformer arrangement, crystal packing and the geometric parameters of slip/cleavage planes within the crystals. Chapter 4 details the experimental methods for preparation of the samples. Cooling solution crystallization was the standard method which has been selected, and crystal habit and surface variations have been studied as a function of the solution concentration and the crystallization environment. Attention is given, in particular, to the preparation of carbamazepine dihydrate and the specific cocrystals carbamazepine cocrystals formed with benzoquinone and oxalic acid. Chapter 5 is devoted to the dehydration of carbamazepine dihydrate for samples prepared and examined in approximate 1-gram laboratory scale quantities. It explores the effect of vacuum, temperature, humidity and seeding on the surface and bulk properties of the products. Chapter 6 presents the solid-state characterization results obtained for samples crystallized at a much larger scale (ca. kilogram quantities) with a particular emphasis placed on their mechanical properties. It explores the comparison of large scaled batches with laboratory scale samples in order to obtain a greater understanding of how small-scale laboratory studies may be extrapolated to more commercial processes. Chapter 7 present results on the stress-induced transformations of carbamazepine solvates and cocrystals. It details the effect of thermal decomposition on the surface and bulk properties of the products, possible seeding effects, and the interconversion between carbamazepine dihydrate and carbamazepine benzoquinone cocrystal. Chapter 8 combines the research findings concerning the structural analyses of the materials in the context of current literature. Limitations related to the use of carbamazepine as a model and to the experimental set-up are also explored. In the final chapter conclusions are presented which correlate observations made on the crystallization and decomposition of multicomponent materials operating at small-scale to effects appropriate to manufacturing of pharmaceuticals at large scale.

Using Source-to-Source Transformations to Add Debug Observability to HLS-Synthesized Circuits

Monson, Joshua Scott 01 March 2016 (has links)
This dissertation introduces a novel approach for exposing the internal, source-level expressions of circuits generated by high-level synthesis (HLS) for in-circuit debug. The approach uses source-to-source transformations to instrument specific source-level expressions with debug ports. These debug ports allow a user to connect a debugging instrument (e.g. an embedded logic analyzer) to record the activity of the expression corresponding to the debug port. This dissertation demonstrates that a debugging solution based on these source-to-source transformations is feasible and that individual debug ports can be added for a cost of a 1-2% increase in circuit area on average. It also introduces another transformation that permits pointer-valued expressions to be instrumented for debug. It is demonstrated that all pointers in the CHStone benchmarks can be instrumented for an average 4% increase in circuit area. The debug port transformations are demonstrated on two HLS tools – Vivado HLS and Legup. The architecture of the source-to-source compiler allowed the necessary adaptations for the second tool (Legup) to be implemented using a minimal amount of additional code. Due to limitations in the Legup compiler an additional optimization was added to reduce the latency overhead incurred by the debug ports. User manuals and other documentation from 10 additional C-based HLS tools is examined to determine whether they are amenable to debug instrumentation using the source-to-source transformations. Of the 10 additional HLS tools examined, 6 were amenable to the transformations, 3 were likely to be amenable, and 1 was not. This dissertation estimates the cost of a complete debugging solution (i.e. one with debug ports and a debugging instrument) and identifies a possible worst case bound for adding debug ports. Finally, this dissertation analyzes two different debugging instruments and determines which instrument would be best for most HLS circuit mapped to FPGAs. It then estimates the overhead of this debugging solution.
