Analizuoti miesto marketingo bei laisvalaikio truzimo konceptai, išskirti miesto marketingo strateginiai ir taktiniai sprendimai, miesto marketingo planavimas, vartotojų poreikius tenkinantys laisvalaikio turizmo paslaugų teikėjai. Nustatyta marketingo vieta, tenkinant turisto poreikius. Miesto marketingo studijomis daugiausia domisi užsienio mokslininkai, lietuvių mokslininkų patirtis šia tema nepakankama. Tikslas - atlikus miesto marketingo bei laisvalaikio turizmo teorinių aspektų analizę, parengti miesto marketingo, orientuoto į laisvalaikio turizmą, modelį ir patikrinti jį empiriškai. Tyrimo metodai – kokybinis ir kiekybinis, kokybinis – content analizė, kiekybinis – anketinė turistų apklausa. / Concepts of city marketing and leisure tourism, strategical and tactical decisions of city marketing, city marketing planning, different types of leisure tourism organizations arranged by category, marketing place on purpose to satisfy the needs of tourist, were analyzed in theoretical part. These domains are not enough analyzed in theoretical and practical dimension in Lithuania. Scholastic articles are presented by initiative of foreign authors, not Lithuanian. The thesis should be helpful for local governance.The aim. To formulate the model of city marketing, orientated to leisure tourism by theoretical aspects of city marketing and leisure tourism.The methods of research. Quantitative and qualitative methods. Qualitative method – content analysis, quantitative – questionnaire of tourists.

An attempt has been made in this study to analyze, examine, and investigate the efforts of the city of Beaumont, Texas, through its comprehensive plan and its planning process, to alleviate or combat the blighted areas of the city and to determine to what extent the comprehensive plan document has been implemented.

This study explores how City of Johannesburg came to adopt its Regularization of Informal Settlements Programme with permission to occupy as a preferred tenure option. Firstly, the study examines tenure issues and debates around tenure including different forms of tenure. Secondly, it explores the policy shift in City of Johannesburg towards regularisation and what this entails. It further reviews international forms of tenure with reference to Brazil and Namibia. The study argues that there is a need for improved intervention strategies that allow informal settlements to be recognised as part of the city in a manner that would consider their livelihoods. It also argues that freehold titling is not necessarily the best form of tenure for informal settlement residents. The study concludes that there is an acute need to recognise informal settlements as part of the City. Furthermore, City of Johannesburg had insufficient funding which limited them in their Regularization of Informal Settlements Programme. The Development Facilitation Act 67 of 1995, The Less Formal Township Establishment Act 113 of 1991 and the amendment of City of Johannesburg Town Planning Scheme influenced the City in their approach to issuing permits. City of Johannesburg can draw lessons from City of Windhoek’s approach to informal settlements.

The intention of this exercise is to investigate a specific area in the growing field of urban design, while learning in the process. As urban design is one of the practices that are directly affected by the pressures resulting from the current fast changes in our environments, it will be useful and fascinating to explore this dimension in the discourse. The theme of the discourse is therefore to reflect on the different thoughts and deal with the continual change in the Urban Environment that is resulting from technological advancements. Technology is generally discussed as the human mastery in perfecting the tools by which humans attempt to control their environments.Therefore the Urban Environment is presented to be the reflection of human level of technological success. The thesis hence revises the understanding of the Urban Environment It emphasizes the fact that the Urban Environment is a continually transforming entity, whereby urban designers are expected to continually come to terms with the emerging new lifestyles, due to changing technology and its impacts on the structures of urban environments. While sharing the view that respects the values of the past (that have continued to shape human urban environments), this study advocates the maintenance of some sort of balance in design approaches, to also allow the accommodation of new technological environments. The study inciudes experimenting on reasonably bold but plausible design ideas. In doing so *''« exercise hopes to provide a stage for discussions and provoke iri-iovative thinking by urban designers, that will be useful to the discourse of urban design.
