Méthodes asymptotiques pour le calcul des champs électromagnétiques dans des milieux à couches minces.<br />Application aux cellules biologiques.

Dans cette thèse, nous présentons des méthodes asymptotiques <br />mathématiquement justifiées permettant de connaître les champs <br />électromagnétiques dans des milieux à couches minces hétérogènes. <br />La motivation de ce travail est le calcul du champ électrique dans des <br />cellules biologiques composées d'un cytoplasme conducteur entouré <br />d'une fine membrane très isolante. <br />Nous remplaçons la membrane, lorsque son épaisseur est infiniment <br />petite, par des conditions de transmission ou des conditions aux <br />limites appropriées et nous estimons l'erreur commise par ces <br />approximations.<br /> Pour les basses fréquences, nous considérons l'équation quasistatique<br />donnant le potentiel dont dérive le champ. A l'aide d'un <br />calcul en géométrie circulaire nous obtenons les expressions explicites<br /> du potentiel et nous en déduisons les asymptotiques du champ <br />électrique, en fonction de l'épaisseur de la couche mince, avec des <br />estimations de l'erreur. Nous estimons ensuite la différence entre le <br />champ réel et le champ statique. Puis nous généralisons notre <br />développement asymptotique à une géométrie quelconque. <br /> La deuxième partie de cette thèse traite des moyennes fréquences : <br />nous donnons le développement asymptotique de la solution de <br />l'équation de Helmholtz lorsque l'épaisseur de la membrane tend vers <br />0. Tous ces précédents résultats sont illustrés par des calculs par <br />éléments finis.<br /> Enfin, pour les hautes fréquences, nous construisons une condition <br />d'impédance pseudodifférentielle permettant de concentrer l'effet de <br />la couche sur son bord intérieur. Nous concluons cette thèse par un <br />problème de diffraction à haute fréquence d'une onde incidente par <br />un disque de petite taille. A l'aide d'une analyse pseudodifférentielle, <br />nous bornons la norme de la trace du champ diffracté à distance fixe <br />de l'inhomogénéité en fonction de la taille de l'objet et de l'onde <br />incidente.

Tyrimo objektas ir metodai: tiriamieji antidepresantai: bušpirono hidrochloridas; sertralino hidrochloridas; amitriptilino hidrochloridas, fluvoksamino maleatas ir paroksetino hidrochloridas. Šių antidepresantų mišinio skirstymui ir komponentų identifikavimui plonasluoksnės chromatografijos metodu naudoti tirpikliai ir ryškinimo reagentai: metanolis, 25 proc. amonio hidroksidas, trichlormetanas, etanolis, etilacetatas, cikloheksanas, etano rūgštis, dimetilacetonas, acetonitrilas, propanolis, trifluoracto rūgštis, dichlormetanas, 1,4–dioksanas, benzenas, petrolio eteris, izoamilo spiritas, dietileteris, oktanas, metano rūgštis, N,N –dimetilanilinas, nitrobenzenas ir heksanas; Dragendorfo reagentas (modifikuotas pagal Munjė), ninhidrinas, Mandelino reagentas ir UV spinduliuotė (254 nm; 365 nm). Depuis quelques années, un essor important est observé pour les diodes électroluminescentes organiques (OLEDs) se traduisant par une intégration progressive dans de nombreux appareils électroniques destinés au grand public : smartphones, tablettes tactiles, téléviseurs, … Cependant, malgré de nombreux avantages, la haute sensibilité des empilements organiques à l'atmosphère ambiante, et l'observation de dégradations à la surface des dispositifs, sont les causes principales limitant l'utilisation massive de cette technologie. L'encapsulation des dispositifs à l'aide d'empilements barrières est susceptible de résoudre tout ou en partie ces problèmes, L'objectif de cette thèse est de développer et de caractériser de nouveaux empilements multicouches inorganique-organique barrières à l'humidité et à l'oxygène, afin de maintenir les performances des OLEDs le plus longtemps possibles. Des solutions d'encapsulations couches minces, réalisées directement à la surface des dispositifs, ont été développées et évaluées sur OLEDs. Les empilements sont composés d'une alternance entre un film d'oxyde d'aluminium déposé par ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) et une couche de résine organique. Les empilements OLEDs utilisés étant fragiles, les dépôts ont été effectués dans des conditions douces, notamment à basse température (T < 100 °C). Parallèlement, une méthode de caractérisation des propriétés barrières a été mise en place, afin d'évaluer les performances intrinsèques des différentes couches ou empilements d'encapsulation utilisés, et apporter une compréhension sur le mécanisme de protection. / Over the last few years, a significant growth is observed for OLEDs (Organic Light-Emitting Diodes) resulting in the gradual integration into many electronic devices for mass-market applications: smartphones, touchscreen tablet, TV … However, despite many advantages, the high sensitivity of the organic stacks in ambient atmosphere, and the surface degradation of the devices, are the main causes limiting the massive use of this technology. The encapsulation of the devices thanks to barrier multilayers can solve some or all these problems. The aim of this thesis is to develop and to characterize new inorganic-organic multilayers as a barrier against moisture and oxygen, in order to preserve OLEDs performances. Solutions for the thin layer encapsulation, made directly in the surface of the devices, have been developed and evaluated on OLEDs. The encapsulation stacks are based on alternating between a film of aluminum oxide deposited by ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) and a layer of organic resin. Stacks of OLEDs are fragile, and the deposits have been carried out under mild conditions, especially when temperatures are low (T < 100 °C). A the same time, a method for the characterization of the barrier properties has been carried out, in order to evaluate the intrinsic performances of thin films or encapsulation stacks used, and to provide an understanding of the protection mechanism.

Avaliação da contaminação por aflatoxina M1 em leite cru e leite UHT / Evaluation of aflatoxin M1 contamination in raw milk and UHTmilk

A aflatoxina M1 (AFM1) é um metabólito tóxico resultante da biotransformação da aflatoxina B1 e pode ser secretada no leite de animais que ingerem alimentos contaminados com esta última. Considerando os efeitos adversos que podem ocorrer devido à ingestão do produto contaminado e visto que as crianças, maiores consumidoras deste alimento, são potencialmente mais sensíveis que os adultos aos efeitos desta micotoxina, a avaliação da presença de AFM1 no leite se faz necessária. Durante o período de março a novembro de 2006 foram analisadas 48 amostras de leite cru provenientes de 8 propriedades fornecedoras de leite para uma Cooperativa de Leite da Serra Gaúcha e 80 amostras de leite UHT, provenientes de 7 marcas distintas, comercializadas em Porto Alegre (RS). A metodologia empregada na análise de aflatoxina M1 envolveu partição líquido-líquido na etapa de extração, uso de coluna de sílica gel na etapa de purificação e Cromatografia em Camada Delgada para a detecção. O limite de detecção foi de 10 ng e a avaliação da eficiência do método apresentou valor de 86% no teste de recuperação. Nas condições de trabalho e pelo método utilizado nenhuma das amostras analisadas foi positiva para a presença de AFM1, sugerindo que as mesmas encontram-se dentro das conformidades legais. / Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) is a toxic metabolite resulting of the biotransformation of aflatoxin B1, and may be sectreted in milk of animals that consume foods contaminated with aflatoxin B1. From March to November of 2006 48 samples of raw milk from 8 dairy farms that integrate a Milk Cooperative of mountain region of Rio Grande do Sul and 80 samples of UHT milk from 7 different brands commercialized in Porto Alegre were analized. The mehodology employed for the analysis of aflatoxin M1 involved liquid-liquid partition on the extraction step, use of silic gel column for the purification step and Thin Layer Chromatography for the detection. The evaluation of the method efficiency present a value of 86% in the recovery test and the detection level was 10ng. Following analysis conditions and the method employed none of the samples analyzed were positive for the presence of aflatoxin M1, suggesting that samples analysed attend the legal conformities.

Local delamination failure of thin material layers

Thin material layers have found various applications with various roles of functions, such as in fibre reinforced laminated composite materials, in integrated electronic circuits, in thermal barrier coating material system, and etc. Interface delamination is a major failure mode due to either residual stress or applied load, or both. Over the past several decades, extensive research works have been done on this subject; however, there are still uncertainties and unsolved problems. This thesis presents the new developed analytical studies on local delamination failure of thin material layers. Firstly, the analytical theories are developed for post-local buckling-driven delamination in bilayer composite beams. The total energy release rate (ERR) is obtained more accurately by including the axial strain energy contribution from the intact part of the beam and by developing a more accurate expression for the post-buckling mode shape. The total ERR is partitioned by using partition theories based on the Euler beam, Timoshenko beam and 2D-elasticity theories. By comparing with independent test results, it has been found that for macroscopic thin material layers the analytical partitions based on the Euler beam theory predicts the propagation behaviour very well and much better than the others. Secondly, a hypothesis is made that delamination can be driven by pockets of energy concentration (PECs) in the form of pockets of tensile stress and shear stress on and around the interface between a microscopic thin film and a thick substrate. Both straight-edged and circular-edged spallation are considered. The three mechanical models are established using mixed-mode partition theories based on classical plate theory, first-order shear-deformable plate theory and full 2D elasticity theory. Experimental results show that all three of the models predict the initiation of unstable growth and the size of spallation very well; however, only the 2D elasticity-based model predicts final kinking off well. Based on PECs theory, the room temperature spallation of α-alumina oxidation film is explained very well. This solved the problem which can not be explained by conventional buckling theory. Finally, the analytical models are also developed to predict the adhesion energy between multilayer graphene membranes and thick substrates. Experimental results show that the model based on 2D elasticity partition theory gives excellent predictions. It has been found that the sliding effect in multilayered graphene membranes leads to a decrease in adhesion toughness measurements when using the circular blister test.
