Hardware evaluation platform based on GNU Radio and the USRP / Hårdvaruutvärderingsplattform baserad på GNU Radio och USRP

Ingemarsson, Carl January 2009 (has links)

GNU Radio is a software framework allowing easy creation of digital signal processing applications on a regular PC. The Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) is a hardware component that can be used as a radio front-end and that is connected to a PC using USB. GNU Radio and the USRP together form a system for software-defined radio. The purpose of this thesis project have been to insert a large programmable logic circuit into the system that GNU Radio and the USRP together form. The goal of this is to make it possible to move parts of the signal processing away from GNU Radio and instead implement these parts in hardware. Possibilities for doing this has been analyzed and one of the possible systems performing this has been designed.

Implementation of an FMCW Radar Platform With High-Speed Real-Time Interface

Svensson, Jonny January 2006 (has links)

Acreo AB has developed a radar prototype used for illustrate how the SiGe technology could be used. The radar prototype needs further development with a fast interface and a more integrated design. The beginning of the report describes the radar technique theory and the composing equations. The theoretical background is used to explain each component of the system. The report continues by specifying the target of the next radar prototype. The chosen implementation is motivated and the mode of procedure is described in detail. Test benches were used to verify correct functionality and some limits were found. The report is concluded with test results and recommendations on further enhancements.
/

Technical upgrade of an audio-mixer control

Jacobsson, Trond January 2006 (has links)

Today the Sjöbjörn studio has a mixing console controlled by a PC with outdated software and

hardware technology. The hardware requires an ISA-bus to work at all and thereby limits the

upgrades that can be made to the computer. The software runs in a DOS environment and has not

been updated for a long time as well. This makes working with the mixing console more difficult

then it has to be and new features are hard to implement. In this thesis I have developed new

hardware so that a more powerful computer can be used which hopefully will allow for a more

user friendly interface and make it easier for future upgrades and additions.

The thesis presents a solution on how to upgrade the system all the way from the PCcommunication

to the hardware designs.

The project was based around the Microchip PIC18F4550 microcontroller for the hardware and

the Visual Basic.NET programming language for the PC software.

Sond för mätning av tandfickors djup

Nilsson, Andreas, Almén, Martin, Sundström, Johan January 2012 (has links)
This thesis work was made in autumn 2011 and was commissioned by Accesia AB, whowanted to develop a prototype of an electronic tool for measuring periodontal pockets depth. The tool is supposed to be used in veterinary dental examinations for dogs and cats. This is aprocedure that is currently done with a graded stick and gives rise to the risk of false readings. The user should be able to use the measuring equipment to measure pocket depthelectronically. The system then presents readings and sends them to a host computer. The report describes how we have proceeded from idea to prototype. The end result should notbe regarded as a finished product, but rather as a proof of concept. The result complies with theproject specification that was developed in consultation with the project client.

Token-based Graphical Password Authentication

Gyorffy, John 11 1900 (has links)
Given that phishing is an ever increasing problem, a better authentication system than the current alphanumeric system is needed. Because of the large number of current authentication systems that use alphanumeric passwords, a new solution should be compatible with these systems. We propose a system that uses a graphical password deployed from a Trojan and virus resistant embedded device as a possible solution. The graphical password would require the user to choose a family photo sized to 441x331 pixels. Using this image, a novel, image hash provides an input into a cryptosystem on the embedded device that subsequently returns an encryption key or text password. The graphical password requires the user to click five to eight points on the image. From these click-points, the embedded device stretches the graphical password input to a 32- character, random, unique alphanumeric password or a 256-bit AES key. Each embedded device and image are unique components in the graphical password system. Additionally, one graphical password can generate many 32-character unique, alphanumeric passwords using its embedded device which eliminates the need for the user to memorize many passwords. / Computer Engineering

Hur använder personal på kommunkontor i mindre kommuner inom Skaraborg USB-minnen?

Eriksson, Viktor January 2016 (has links)
