Bostäder byggs idag långt över de naturresurser som finns och i takt med stigandeenergipriser dessutom krävs innovativa lösningar till problemet. En lösning kan varaatt bygga bostäder med temperaturzoner för att uppnå en mer kostnads- ochresurseffektiv byggbransch. Genom att se tillbaka historiskt på svensk byggtraditionkan inspiration hämtas till framtidens hållbara bostäder.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur bostäder i framtiden kangestaltas för att bli mer hållbara och energieffektiva med inspiration från gamlabyggtraditioner. I arbetet presenteras ett gestaltningsförslag av en villa medvarierande temperaturzoner.Gestaltningsförslaget, Villa Temp, är resultatet av detta examensarbete. Konceptet förVilla Temp bygger på att utmana rumsbegreppet och låta temperaturen varierautefter behov och funktion.

A proposta desta dissertação é analisar os três movimentos das Bachianas Brasileiras Nº 1: Introdução (Embolada), Prelúdio (Modinha) e Fuga (Conversa), de Heitor Villa-Lobos, a partir de uma abordagem transformacional, seguindo a linha proposta por Steven Rings (2011) na qual, ferramentas de análise neorriemannianas são utilizadas para iluminar aspectos familiares do tonalismo. Partindo desta abordagem, os resultados da análise musical serão apresentados através de gráficos e redes transformacionais, objetivando criar um suporte analítico musical que, numa fase posterior a esta pesquisa, aponte para uma reflexão sobre a ideia de Nestor Garcia Canclini a respeito de processos de hibridação cultural (CANCLINI, 2008). / The proposal of this dissertation is to analyze the three movements of the Bachianas Brasileiras Nº 1: Introduction (Embolada), Prelude (Modinha) and Fugue (Conversa), by Heitor Villa-Lobos, based on a transformational approach, following the thinking proposed by Steven Rings (2011) in which, Neo-Riemannian analysis tools are used to illuminate familiar aspects of tonalism. Based on this approach, the results of musical analysis will be presented through graphs and transformational networks, aiming to create an analytical musical support that, at a later stage of this research, points to a reflection on the idea of Nestor Garcia Canclini regarding processes of cultural hybridization (CANCLINI, 2008).

A produção orquestral de Villa-Lobos é indubitavelmente grandiosa e exuberante, confrontando a nós músicos, desafios de ordem técnica e interpretativa. Este trabalho discutirá sobre algumas das partes destinadas aos metais graves e suas possíveis soluções técnicas. Escolheram-se oito peças sinfônicas de palco na intenção de se tabular uma amostra razoável dessa faceta composicional de Villa-Lobos. As sugestões interpretativas serão embasadas em análises de autógrafos e suas edições, visualizadas por meio de trechos das partes orquestrais e corroboradas por uma revisão atualizada da literatura, propondo que se busque uma compreensão maior sobre as ferramentas expressivas oferecidas ao intérprete de metal grave, inserindo-o dentro da dialética villalobiana. / The orchestral production of Villa-Lobos is certainly grand and lush. It is confronting us musicians in a technical and interpretive challenges order. This doctoral essay will discuss some of the parts composed for low brass and their possible technical solutions. It was chose eight symphonic pieces in order to major measure a reasonable sample of the compositional facet of Villa-Lobos. Interpretation suggestions are based on solid analysis from autograph and their issues, visualized by means of excerpts from the orchestral and supported by an updated literature review parts, proposing to seek a greater understanding of the expressive tools offered to low brass musician and inserting them inside of the villalobiana´s dialectic.

A presente tese de doutoramento é uma continuação do nosso trabalho de mestrado finalizado em 2012 e dá sequência à análise do ciclo de nove peças para piano Prole do Bebê No 2, composto por Villa-Lobos em 1921. No mestrado foram investigadas três peças: A Baratinha de Papel, O Gatinho de Papelão e O Passarinho de Pano. Para a tese, voltamos a atenção para as demais obras: O Camundongo de Massa, O Cachorrinho de Borracha, O Cavalinho de Pau, O Boizinho de Chumbo, O Ursozinho de Algodão e o Lobozinho de Vidro. Concebido por um compositor orientado pela necessidade de revogar as amarras da música vigente no Rio de Janeiro do início do século XX, tributária a uma estética europeia que aprisionava o discurso musical, o ciclo é resultado de um processo dialético prefigurado na confluência de forças manifestas na tradição expressa no cancioneiro nacional e no modernismo de matiz primitivista que aflorava como movimento cultural no país. Por conta da considerável complexidade do conteúdo musical bem como por afinidade à nossa dissertação de mestrado, adotamos uma estratégia de análise ponto-a-ponto com o intuito de descrever e diagnosticar a totalidade os eventos, assim vislumbrando a possibilidade de integração de cada segmento à macroestrutura da obra à qual se vincula e, por conseguinte, de avaliação do projeto compositivo do ciclo como um todo. Essa escolha demandou o uso de múltiplas ferramentas e estratégias de análise sendo que algumas serão detalhadas no primeiro capítulo da tese: teoria dos conjuntos, teoria neorriemanniana, relações de superfície (intervalos, motivos e contornos melódicos), relações de simetria, análise fraseológica e uma avaliação das interações entre teclas pretas e brancas do piano. Ao final, concluímos tratar-se de um conjunto idealizado a partir de elementos e melodias da tradição musical brasileira elaborados por meio de estratégias de composição características do pós-tonalismo, uma combinação de procedimentos que produziu um repertório extremamente particular e expressivo, alinhando Villa-Lobos e sua música com o projeto modernista europeu protagonizado por personalidades como Igor Stravinsky e Béla Bartók. / This PhD thesis is a continuation of our master\'s work completed in 2012 and proceed to the analysis of the nine-piece piano cycle Prole do Bebê No 2, composed by Villa-Lobos in 1921. During the master\'s, three pieces were analyzed: A Baratinha de Papel, O Gatinho de Papelão e O Passarinho de Pano. For this thesis we focused on the remaining six: O Camundongo de Massa, O Cachorrinho de Borracha, O Cavalinho de Pau, O Boizinho de Chumbo, O Ursozinho de Algodão e O Lobozinho de Vidro. The cycle is the musical product of a composer oriented by the need to revoke the constraints of music at the beginning of the 20th century in Rio de Janeiro, tributary to a European aesthetic that imprisoned the musical discourse. From a different point of view, the cycle is the result of a dialectical process foreshadowed in the confluence of manifest forces between the national music tradition and the primitivist modernism that emerged as a cultural movement in the country. Due to the considerable complexity of the musical content as well as affinity to our master\'s thesis, we adopted a point-by-point analysis strategy. The purpose is to fully describe and diagnose all musical events thus visualizing the possibility of integration of each segment to the macrostructure of the work to which it is indexed and, therefore, the evaluation of the compositional project as a whole. This choice required the use of multiple tools and analytical strategies, some of which will be detailed in the first chapter of the thesis: Set Theory, Neo- Riemannian Theory, surface relations (intervals, motifs and melodic contour), symmetry relations, musical phrasing analysis and an evaluation of the interaction between black and white piano keys. At the end, we conclude that it is a set of pieces based on elements and melodies of the Brazilian musical tradition elaborated through compositional strategies characteristic of post-tonalism. A special combination of procedures that produced an extremely particular and expressive repertoire, aligning Villa-Lobos and his music with the European modernist project represented by personalities as Igor Stravinsky and Béla Bartók.

Ce projet de recherche porte sur l’étude du décor des villas impériales dans le suburbium de Rome, avec le but de comprendre, à l’aide des sources littéraires, archéologiques et épigraphiques, comment se caractérisaient ces villas tant du point de vue de leur conception architecturale que de leur décoration. Chaque villa a fait l’objet d’un dossier dans lequel tous les éléments du décor ont été organisés, classifiés et interprétés. Par la suite, on a procédé à une comparaison entre les éléments décoratifs caractérisant les villas du suburbium et ceux des autres grandes résidences impériales connues dans la région du Latium. On a pu analyser l’évolution du rapport entre architecture et décor dans les différents espaces de la villa impériale (pièces de représentation, thermes, jardins, édifices de spectacle,…), ainsi que le programme décoratif sculpté, qui nous renseigne sur le travail des ateliers et sur les choix de thématiques spécifiques de la part des empereurs, comme celle du mythe des Niobides ou des épisodes de l’Odyssée. De surcroît, l’analyse topographique et chronologique des contextes a permis, d’un côté, de comprendre les dynamiques de l’occupation du territoire de la part du pouvoir impérial et de l’autre, d’analyser le processus de formation, évolution et transformation de ces résidences. À travers l’étude des complexes résidentiels suburbains, on explore les possibilités d’approche à l’intérieur du plus ample questionnement sur l’identification d’une villa impériale, une problématique qui n’a jamais été abordée de façon complète et systématique. / The research project, presented in this manuscript, illustrates the decoration of imperial villas in the Roman suburbium. Thanks to literary, archaeological and epigraphic sources, its purpose is to understand how these villas were characterised both from the point of view of their architecture as of their decoration. Indeed, each villa has been subject of accurate investigations, in which all elements were parsed, classified and interpreted. Subsequently, the attention is focused on the comparison between the decorative features of the suburbium’s villas and those of the other imperial residences scattered in Latium region. This allowed to analyse in details the evolution of the correlation between architecture and decor in the different areas of the imperial villa (representative rooms, thermal baths, gardens, entertainment buildings,…). In addition, it helped understanding the choice of sculptural subjects made by the emperors, such as the group of Niobids or Odyssey episodes. Moreover, topographic and chronological studies of these contexts gave the opportunity to understand the occupation dynamics of the territory on the part of the imperial power, but also to analyse the formation, evolution and transformation processes of these residences. Finally, through the study of suburban residential complexes, it is possible to face the wider questioning on the identification of an imperial villa, an issue that has never been approached in an exhaustive and systematic way.

Esta dissertação pretende, por meio da análise musical, trazer à luz os processos composicionais envolvidos na elaboração das peças O Passarinho de Pano, A Baratinha de Papel e o Gatinho de Papelão, integrantes da suíte Prole do Bebê No 2 de Heitor Villa-Lobos. Produzida na fase modernista do compositor, a obra foi fundamentalmente criada em direção à sua emancipação em relação aos processos tradicionais de composição vigentes no Brasil do início do século XX, em especial no Rio de Janeiro. As nove peças para piano solo integralizam uma coleção de elevado grau de dificuldade de execução e de complexidade estrutural, constituindo-se em constante fonte de inspiração para questões voltadas para a análise, para a interpretação musical e sua inter-relação. / This dissertation aims, through musical analysis, bring to light the compositional processes involved in the elaboration of the pieces O Passarinho de Pano (The Little Cloth Bird), A Baratinha de Papel (The Little Paper Bug) and O Gatinho de Papelão (The Little Cardboard Cat) from the Prole do Bebê No. 2 (Baby\'s Family) suite by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Produced during his modernist phase, the work was created primarily toward his emancipation from the traditional processes of composition prevailing in the early twentieth century, specially in Rio de Janeiro. The nine solo piano pieces integrates a collection with high level difficulty of execution and structural complexity, constituting a constant source of inspiration for questions related to the analysis, to musical interpretation and their interrelationship.

Was at this time that he learned to play guitar and his name became known among the musical scene of "choro". During this period, the early twentieth century, Villa-Lobos began to develop his compositional craftsmanship, and paid tribute to the new musical genre known as choro, with a work entitled Suite Popular Brasileira. This paper presents a historical analysis, epistemological analysis, melodic and the shapes of five pieces that make up the Suite Popular Brasileira, in order to bring to light the importance of this work to the history of the guitar and to the catalog of the works of Villa-Lobos. / Heitor Villa-Lobos conviveu em sua juventude com os chorões da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, foi nesse período que aprendeu a tocar violão e seu nome passou a ser conhecido nas rodas de choro. Na época, início do século XX, Villa-Lobos começou a desenvolver sua artesania composicional, e homenageou o novo gênero musical choro com uma obra intitulada Suíte Popular Brasileira. O presente trabalho apresentará a análise histórica, epistemológica, melódica e das formas da Suíte Popular Brasileira, a fim de trazer à luz a importância dessa obra diante da história do violão e do catálogo das obras de Villa-Lobos.
