Este trabajo de investigación se ha centrado en el análisis del tratamiento que se le dio, en algunos programas, a la festividad del día de los muertos, en el cementerio Nueva Esperanza, durante el 2018. Para llevar a cabo este proyecto se seleccionaron cuatro reportajes que fueron presentados en los siguientes programas: Día 6, Domingo al día, Al sexto día y 24 horas edición central. En ellos se analizaron la forma en que han abordado la creación de la identidad de los personajes, los elementos que se han usado para elaborarlos, las acciones que son plasmadas y la relación que existen entre los vivos y los muertos durante esta fecha. Al profundizar el tema se hallaron patrones que han sido analizados en conjunto con el marco teórico, focus group y entrevistas que fueron hechas para complementar esta investigación. / This research work has focused on the analysis of the treatment that was given, in some programs, to the feast of the day of the dead, in the Nueva Esperanza cemetery, during 2018. To carry out this project, four reports were selected which were presented in the following programs: Day 6, Sunday a day, On the sixth day and 24 hours central edition. They analyzed the way in which they have approached the creation of the identity of the characters, the elements that have been used to elaborate them, the actions that are embodied and the relationship between the living and the dead during this date. The locality is described in this thesis in the basic information form, range of the cadastral area and demography. In addition, the historical events which had influence on the development of this locality are outlined. Further, also the economy structure, public facility and amenities throughout the history are mentioned. Another part of this thesis outlines this locality development, changes and growth during each time period. Further, the characteristic building elements and types of the real estate are described for each time period. The final part of this work is focused on the analysis of development possibilities of construction in this locality.

Monitoring air quality indicators and energy consumption in Dalarnas Villa during operation of a demand-controlled exhaust ventilation system

A real-world study was undertaken of the indoor air quality in a recently-built single family home in central Sweden, to establish whether demand controlled ventilation provided superior interior conditions, when compared with other air supply strategies, including the standard used by the Swedish buildings regulator. The property was highly airtight, with ventilation achieved using a forced exhaust system. Extraction was possible from all rooms of the house, and using a Renson Healthbox air handling unit, the rates of air flow from each room could be adjusted either according to a time schedule, or under demand control according to the unit’s sensing of the air quality in individual rooms. Five ventilation modes were evaluated, each for a period of 24 hours. Occupancy of the house was standardised, with test participants. Two separate air quality monitors were deployed to verify whether measurements made at the air handling unit were representative of the conditions that occupants experienced. Key measurements were the stable level of carbon dioxide overnight in an occupied double bedroom and the time taken for that room to refresh to background CO2 level the following day. The time taken for a kitchen/living room to similarly refresh was also examined. The study found that demand controlled ventilation achieved indoor air quality – assessed on carbon dioxide concentration – comparable with rates of fixed ventilation far greater than the regulated standard. In doing so, the air volume exchanged over a representative day was 33 % less than that standard, providing for significant energy savings. The parallel monitoring of air quality inside the room and via the air exhaust duct showed noticeable variation, but indicated the air handling unit under demand control would never ventilate insufficiently, based on its internal CO2 sensors.

El Centro Cultural de Villa El Salvador se emplaza en un nodo cultural – educativo (Av. Central – Av. Bolívar), teniendo equipamiento cercano de gran envergadura como la Universidad Nacional Tecnológica de Lima Sur y el Instituto Superior Público Julio C. Tello. La zona se encuentra actualmente abandonada, pero con un potencial enorme por el tamaño del terreno, la topografía y su zonificación. Lo cual llevó a proponer un edificio compatible e integrador con estos equipamientos cercanos, generando espacios previos de encuentro para lograr una estancia mas larga donde pudiesen desarrollar diversas actividades para todas las personas del distrito y de Lima Sur. Se proyecta un Centro Cultural, con talleres, biblioteca, auditorio, salas de exposiciones y un restaurante / comedor. Una edificación que pueda re-potenciar la identidad entumecido con su distrito; logrando que el usuario se sienta identificado con su diversidad cultural que poseen; y la posibilidad de usarlo como un eje de desarrollo social, educativo y cultural. El proyecto tiene como énfasis el espacio público como generador de inclusión y cohesión social. Por lo que se generaron tres (03) plazas públicas, estos espacios públicos fueron tratados paisajísticamente con circulaciones, vegetación y mobiliario urbano adecuado para lograr un mayor confort durante su estancia de las personas; y una (01) plaza privada interna, la cual esta acompañada de una gradería para llegar a su nivel. Ambas plazas públicas y privada, son áreas polivalentes, es decir se puede realizar diversas actividades culturales – artísticas propias del centro cultural como también de sus propios pobladores. / The Villa El Salvador Cultural Center is located in a cultural-educational node (Central Avenue- Bolívar Avenue), having nearby facilities of great importance such as the Lima Sur National Technological University and the Julio C. Tello Public Higher Institute. The area is currently abandoned but with enormous potential due to the size of the land, the topography and the zoning. Therefore, a compatible and integrating building with these nearby facilities is proposed. In addition, previous meeting spaces were created to achieve a longer stay where various activities can be developed for all the people of the district and South Lima. A Cultural Center is projected, with workshops, library, auditorium, exhibition rooms and a restaurant / dining room. A building that can re-empower the dormant identity with its district. This makes the user feel identified with their cultural diversity. In addition, the possibility of using it as an axis of social, educational and cultural development of people The emphasis of the project is on the public space as a generator of inclusion and social cohesion. Therefore, three public squares were generated. These public spaces were landscaped with circulations, vegetation and suitable urban furniture to achieve greater comfort for people during their stay. Caos hídrico: el acceso al agua en el humedal “Los Pantanos de Villa” en Chorrillos, (Lima)

En Lima, la ciudad con mayor población del país, un 10,14% de sus habitantes carece de servicios básicos de agua potable y saneamiento (OEFA 2019: 21). Transcurridos 80 años de iniciado el proceso de urbanización en la zona de “Los Pantanos de Villa”, en Chorrillos, parte de la población que vive en el área de influencia continúa en estas condiciones, agravadas por el impacto de los pobladores en la contaminación del agua y en la urbanización del humedal. Mediante el trabajo de campo que incluyó visitas al área natural protegida y periferia de influencia, entrevistas a los actores e investigación de archivo, se explora el origen y causas de este problema para explicar la actual desigualdad y marginación de la población del entorno, que a la vez destruye un valioso ecosistema frágil e impactado por el cambio climático. Esta situación ha ocasionado múltiples estrategias de acceso al agua, la mayoría informales, que atentan contra la salud del poblador y pone en riesgo al humedal, de importancia internacional reconocida. El Estado, mediante un núcleo de instituciones, diseña y gestiona la política hídrica, toman decisiones, controlan, sancionan y proveen a los beneficiarios de agua no exenta de contaminación, ocasionando un caos hídrico. Además, la falta de perspectiva ecourbana, invisibiliza al humedal como un recurso natural que puede mejorar la calidad de vida de los pobladores de su entorno. El hallazgo principal de la investigación es que la escasez de agua que padecen los vecinos no es por causa natural, lo que lleva a la conclusión que intereses político-económicos ocasionan una distribución desigual del recurso.

La investigación establece la relación entre el rendimiento en los procesos cognitivos de la lectura y el nivel de logro alcanzado en el curso de Comunicación en niños de segundo y tercer grado de primaria de una institución educativa privada del distrito de Villa María del Triunfo. Este estudio se basa en el enfoque cognitivo que considera a la lectura como una habilidad compleja que implica procesos psicológicos de diferente nivel (bajo nivel “perceptivo y léxico”, alto nivel “sintáctico y semántico”), los que conllevan a la comprensión de un texto. La importancia de este estudio radica en que permite conocer la realidad específica de los alumnos de esta institución: verificar si los alumnos del segundo grado han automatizado los procesos lectores de bajo nivel; corroborar si los de tercer grado aún presentan dificultades en el acceso al léxico y ver si esto incide en los procesos de alto nivel; y cómo se relaciona este resultado con el nivel de logro alcanzado en comunicación. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo y se utiliza un diseño transversal correlacional. La muestra está conformada por 63 alumnos. Para evaluar la variable procesos de la lectura se utiliza el Test LEE de Lectura y escritura en español, y para medir el nivel de logro alcanzando en Comunicación se accede a la nota final del segundo trimestre. Los resultados indican que a mayor rendimiento en los procesos cognitivos de la lectura, mayor será el nivel de logro alcanzado en el curso de Comunicación. / This investigation establishes the relationship between reading cognitive processes and the level of accomplishment on the Communication course of children from second and third elementary grade in a private education institution in Villa Maria del Triunfo, Lima, Perú. This investigation was based in the cognitive approach that regards reading as a complex skill, consisting on a series of psychological processes on different levels (“lexical and perceptive” on the low levels and “syntactics and semantics” on the high ones) that produce comprehension of a text. The importance of this investigation lies on that it makes clear the details of the actual situation of the alumni of this institution: Validate whether or not the alumni of second level have automated the low level reading processes; and validate whether or not the alumni of third level still struggle in their lexical ability and assess if this affects the high level processes; and what is the correlation between this results and the achievement level in the communication course. Our investigation has a descriptive focus and used a transversal-correlational design. The population was made of 63 students. To evaluate the “reading processes” variable we used the “Test LEE de Lectura y escritura en español”, and to measure the performance in the Communication course we used the final score on the second quarter. Results show that, the better the performace on the lexical and syntactic-semantic reading processes, the better the achievement level (score) in the Communication course.
