Fenomén video tutoriálů na YouTube / ¨The phenomenon of tutorial videos on YouTubeHora, Samuel January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis discusses the phenomenon of tutorials uploaded on the most visited server for viewing and sharing video content nowadays - YouTube. The term tutorial here is used for referring to the specific instructional video content, which primarily aims to show, by means of the step by step illustration, how to proceed within particular activity that usually requires to adopt a certain extent of specialized knowledge or skills. At the same time, the attention is focused on the graphic design and fine art tutorials. The main goal of the thesis is to answer following question: what motivations might internet users have both for the reception and for the production of tutorials. In other words, the thesis is oriented on searching for the highest possible amount of motives that can lead to the viewing as well as to the shooting of this specific media content. Therefore, this requires examining a given field from two different perspectives: from the perspective of receiving viewers and from the perspective of video makers. Whole thesis structure is then subordinated to these two perspectives. Previous issue date: 2016-09-28 / Este trabalho investigou o uso das mídias sociais em trinta e uma bibliotecas da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro para compreender como utilizam estas ferramentas e tecer orientações para o bom uso das ferramentas de monitoramento no cenário biblioteconômico. O estudo baseou-se em técnicas de observação e de entrevistas para averiguar a percepção de bibliotecários e usuários na utilização das mídias no contexto das bibliotecas acadêmicas. Embora a importância da comunicação nesse canal seja reconhecida por ambos entrevistados, como meio de promover serviços e produtos, os resultados indicaram que as mídias sociais não são elementos dominantes do universo das bibliotecas acadêmicas. O estudo é acrescido de um Manual Básico de Uso de Mídias Sociais, direcionado aos profissionais da informação, onde são apresentadas sugestões para uso, monitoramento e medição do desempenho organizacional na comunicação em mídias sociais. / This study investigated the use of social media in thirty-one libraries of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro to understand how to use these tools and weave guidelines for the proper use of monitoring tools in biblioteconômico scenario. The study was based on observation techniques and interviews to ascertain the perception of librarians and users in the use of media in the context of academic
libraries. While the importance of communication channel that is recognized by both respondents as a means of promoting products and services, the results indicated that social media are not the dominant elements of the universe of academic libraries. The study is plus a Basic Guide to Using Social Media, directed to the professionals of the information, which are presented suggestions for use, monitoring
and measurement of organizational performance communication in social media.

Previous issue date: 2013-09-25 / In 1966, began several comments about the possibility of the death of Paul McCartney, The Beatles band member allegedly occurred in a car accident. This event went beyond the scope of the comments sparse, took shape in various media and entered the scientific field. The objective was to understand aspects of the discourse theory, as proposed by Michel Foucault, applying it in web texts in view the need of organizing collections in the field of Information Science. As a sample, we apply some of the principles of this theory in a corpus of artistic imprint, and analyze texts found on the web from the statement "death of Paul McCartney." Therefore, we adopted the Foucault´s concepts Science and Knowledge , Comment and Archive . The mobilization of the Foucault´s theory allowed the description of the documents correlates and composed a specific discursive archive on the subject, coming from various genres, media and materiality. As a result, the discursive archive presented in this work, such as sampling, on the theme death of Paul McCartney , was represented by infographic, showing the relationships among multiple documents. From the discussions undertaken around the field of Discourse Analysis of Foucault and some parameters of how information have been made available on the web with subsidies arising from theories of Information Science was still possible to trace relationships aiming possibilities of this science is to bolster also in Discourse Analysis of Foucault, in search of a new way to analyze, organize and make available content on the web universe. / Em 1966, iniciaram-se comentários diversos sobre a possibilidade da morte de Paul McCartney, integrante da banda The Beatles, supostamente ocorrida em um acidente de carro. Este acontecimento extravazou o âmbito dos comentários esparsos, tomou corpo em diversas mídias e adentrou o campo científico. O objetivo foi compreender aspectos sobre a teoria discursiva, como proposta por Michel Foucault, aplicando-a em textos da web, tendo em vista a necessidade da organização de acervos no campo da Ciência da Informação. Como amostragem, aplicamos alguns dos princípios deste teórico em um corpus de cunho artístico, e analisamos textos encontrados na web a partir do enunciado morte de Paul McCartney . Para tanto, foram adotados os conceitos foucaultianos sobre Ciência e Saber , Comentário e Arquivo . A mobilização desta teoria foucaultiana permitiu que a descrição dos documentos se correlacionasse e compusesse um arquivo discursivo específico sobre o tema, oriundo de diversos gêneros, suportes e materialidades. Como resultado, o arquivo discursivo apresentado neste trabalho, como amostragem, sobre o tema morte de Paul McCartney , foi representado através de infográfico, demonstrando as relações entre os múltiplos documentos. A partir das discussões empreendidas em torno do campo da Análise do Discurso de Foucault e de alguns parâmetros de como a informação vêm sendo disponibilizada na web com subsídios advindos de teorias da Ciência da Informação foi possível, ainda, traçar relações visando possibilidades desta Ciência se amparar também na Análise do Discurso de Foucault, em busca de uma nova maneira de analisar, organizar e disponibilizar conteúdos disponíveis no universo da web.

As dinâmicas do conhecimento científico e tecnológico na era da Web 2.0 : um estudo sobre a Wikipédia lusófonaLima, Leonardo Santos de January 2014 (has links)
Esta dissertação trata da relação entre as transformações contemporâneas que envolvem o conhecimento científico e tecnológico diante da disseminação das novas tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (NTICs) e as potencialidades de desenvolvimento de dinâmicas de saber não restritas aos pressupostos do paradigma da ciência moderna. O objetivo principal deste trabalho consiste na investigação dos limites e possibilidades para a emergência de distintas dinâmicas do conhecimento científico e tecnológico associadas aos novos ambientes virtuais surgidos no período da web 2.0. Especificamente são investigadas as potencialidades desses ambientes para a promoção de dinâmicas favoráveis à constituição de ecologia de saberes por seus integrantes. Para isso, busca-se identificar e analisar o conjunto de valores, interesses, representações e práticas que envolvem a organização formal e os processos de participação de um ambiente em especial da internet: a Wikipédia lusófona. Assume-se a ideia de que o site, constituído sob influência dos valores e práticas que deram forma à internet, é capaz de favorecer o desenvolvimento de dinâmicas de colaboração compatíveis com os pressupostos da ecologia de saberes propostos por Santos (2011a). Esta investigação foi realizada a partir da análise da estrutura “formal” wikipedista e da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas envolvendo a participação de 24 usuários colaboradores em artigos de temática científica e tecnológica do “conteúdo destacado” da Wikipédia lusófona. Conclui-se, de um lado, que o site tende a reproduzir a hierarquia das disciplinas de C&T e a distribuição das áreas de interesse dos usuários de acordo com os espaços por eles ocupados na sociedade, bem como a manifestar valores, representações e práticas fortemente associados ao paradigma da ciência e da tecnologia modernas. De outro lado, entretanto, mostra-se se favorável não só à diversificação do perfil dos agentes voltados à produção, difusão e aquisição de conteúdos científicos e tecnológicos em comparação aos espaços convencionais do conhecimento de C&T, mas também à abertura de diferentes possibilidades de participação e de apropriação dos produtos coletivos do site. Da mesma forma, a Wikipédia lusófona revela-se capaz de incitar entre seus colaboradores o desenvolvimento da capacidade de argumentação, de convivência com diferentes pontos de vista e o interesse pelo trabalho voluntário, de modo a favorecer a emergência de representações imprescindíveis à superação do paradigma da ciência moderna e à constituição de ecologia de saberes: a solidariedade, a participação, o princípio do prazer, a autoria e a artefatualidade discursiva. / This thesis is about the relation between the contemporary transformations concerning scientific and technological knowledge because of the spread of new information and communication technologies (NICT) and the potentials of development of new knowledge’s dynamic not restricted to the assumptions of the modern science paradigm. The goal of this study is to investigate the limits and possibilities for the emergence of distinct dynamics of scientific and technological knowledge under the influence of the web 2.0 virtual interfaces. Specifically, the thesis investigates the potentials of those interfaces to promote, among their users, propitious dynamics toward the establishment of the ecology of knowledges. This research identifies and analyzes a set of values, interests, representations and practices concerning the formal organization and the participation’s processes of a particular web’s virtual interface: Lusophone Wikipedia. Assuming the hypothesis that this site, which has been founded under the influence of the same values and practices adopted in the internet creation, is able to promote the development of compatibles collaborative dynamics with the assumptions of an ecology of knowledges, as proposed by Santos (2011a). This investigation has been made from the analysis of "formal" Wikipedian’s structure and from semi-structured interviews with 24 collaborators users of the "highlighted subjects” on scientific and technological issues of the Lusophone Wikipedia. The thesis’ conclusions are: on one hand, that the Wikipedian’s interface tends to reproduce the disciplines’ hierarchy of the S&T knowledge and the distribution of users’ areas of interest according to the social places occupied by them, as well as express values, representations and practices associated with modern science paradigm. On the other hand, this study observes that Lusophone Wikipedia is propitious, not only to diversify the profile of the collaborators involved in the production, dissemination and achievement of scientific and technological subjects compared to the conventional spaces of the S&T knowledge, but also opening various possibilities for participation in the site, included ownership of collective products. In this way, this virtual interface can be able to foment among their collaborators the capacity of argumentation, coexistence with different points of view and the interest in voluntary work in order to foster the emergence of the essential representations to overcoming the modern science paradigm and the establishment of an ecology of knowledges: solidarity, participation, the principle of pleasure, authorship and discursive artifactuality.

Political disenchantment and detachment is proven to be growing in well established democracies. This development brings along concerning behavior regarding general political participation. Fewer citizens participate in elections, parties are losing members, and the trust in politicians is steadily decreasing. IDEA (Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance) has been registering voter turnout worldwide for the last 60 years and their publications show a decline in voter participation since the 1980s. During the same period of time another development has caught attention, namely the fast progress of the medium Internet. The new generation of Internet functions is called Web 2.0 and allows users not only to create content, but also to interact with each other. This dissertation aims to explore the possibilities emerging when integrating Web 2.0 in political processes. To study this, a case study approach is used and participatory budgeting is the chosen case. Effects on political disenchantment are analyzed from the perspective of Robert Dahl’s democratic criteria. The analysis underlines the importance of making political processes more accessible to the citizens, e.g. by supplying online functions for political contribution. Several signs indicate an expanded integration of Web 2.0 functions, which might lead to a turning point for political disenchantment. However, the result also shows that other factors, such as composition of participants, and conditions of usage should to be taken in consideration while increasing the online dependency.

Informação (TICs) na área da saúde, dando ênfase às esferas da Vigilância em Saúde e da
Promoção da Saúde. No desenvolvimento da pesquisa foram levantadas algumas ferramentas
online, como Redes sociais online e blogs voltados para a saúde, internacionais e nacionais;
Também foram verificados dispositivos portáteis como smartphones, tablets e também
sensores remotos na área da saúde, analisando aplicativos voltados para a área. O método de
Revisão Sistemática também foi utilizado, procurando mostrar a produção de artigos na área
sobre o tema, além de verificar a questão da integração de sistemas de informação, como
bibliotecas virtuais, com as redes sociais online. Uma pesquisa de campo foi realizada, na
Secretária Municipal de Saúde do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, verificando a realidade dos
profissionais de saúde no que diz respeito sobre a utilização das TICs na área da saúde no
Estado. / This study aimed to verify the application of Information and Communication Technologies
(ICT) in health, emphasizing the areas of Health Surveillance and Health Promotion. In the
development of the research have been raised online tools such as blogs and online social
networks directed to health, both national and international; portable devices like
smartphones, tablets and also remote sensing in healthcare were also verified, analyzing
possible applications for such devices in the area. The method was also used Systematic
Review, to show the production of articles on the topic in the area, besides checking the issue
of integration of information systems, such as virtual libraries with online social networks. A
field survey was conducted in the Municipal Secretary of Health of the State of Rio de
Janeiro, verifying the reality of health professionals with regard to the use of ICTs in health
care in the state.

The paper explores the rise of digital cartography and subsequently location-based services, using Foursquare as case study. In fact, the rise of smartphones and wireless technologies have made Internet ubiquitous and online services accessible from anywhere. In this context, I address the changes in carthography and how it has been remediated on digital media. I then analyze some of the developments brought by the Web 2.0 in relation to location-based services, especially user-generated content, social networking websites, tagging and geotagging. Foursquare's content is created by its users, therefore enabling them to map the(ir) world. Foursquare remediates maps and travel guides, and it uses game dynamics to foster usage and sharing. The concept of online identity-building will be also addressed in relation to the sharing of one's location and how these factors enhance performative aspects. I conclude by investigating how the geotagging tendency on social networking platforms could be as well seen as a tool for enhancing user-generated surveillance.

The web 2.0 technology and its associated social networks have brought tremendous effects in each day life. The effect is now reaching the educational settings due to online increasing activities. Indeed, new ways of learning have started to attract the ongoing debate for inclusion web 2.0 technologies into pedagogy. The effects of Blogs, Wikis, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Moodle, RSS feeds and other related social networking tools in the formal and informal education, is vividly seen. Educators all over the World are keen to implement them into educational practices. What benefits have so far been observed by both students and educators? This is an important question that needs to be answered thoroughly, in order to establish a new shift in educational and pedagogical thinking. Information sharing accompanied by openness and a great deal of voluntary collaboration, is what forces the exploration in this area of informatics. In Tanzania, the Ministry for Education and Vocational Training has developed a policy for Information and Communication Technology for Basic Education in July, 2007. This was done so as to integrate ICT in education after realizing its potentials in daily life. Through this policy and other initiatives supported by Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), a birth of eSchools was realized for integrating ICT in Education. The aim of this study is investigating the importance of online social networking sites in education in Tanzania. Using a quantitative method, this study includes a total of 56 participants (key informants) as a sample. All participants are students at the University of Dar es Salaam pursuing various courses. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire composed of 19 questions. The usable rate of returned responses was 61% of the anticipated responses. The responses were then collated for analysis by means of MS excel. The study was conducted in March and April, 2012 and revealed that, the online social networks is not fully utilized in Tanzania for educational purposes. Lack of wider access to technology is a big hindrance, although not a definite factor by itself. Another factor has been identified as lack of sensitization among students and educators. Furthermore, the report provides recommendations on how this technology can be fully exploited for the benefits of the students and community at large. / This Thesis is all about the inclusion of new learning technologies in education. The study has been conducted in Tanzania and the population included the University students. Due to continuous growth of user generated content and the subsequent ability to share and even collaborate online, the social networking sites have emerged to be of great importance. The importance is not only in information sharing but also in education processes. On the other hand, the communities have not yet realized the great potential lying in the social networking sites in terms of education. Despite the publications and studies done elsewhere including America and Europe still much has not been done in the developing World and particularly in Tanzania. An increasing number of universities are providing the current generation of students, the socalled ‘digital natives’ (Prensky, 2001) - with more flexible and innovative language learning environments through the use of free Web 2.0 tools, such as wikis, blogs, social networking, Second Life and podcasting. However, still relatively little is known about wikis in the context of teaching English for Academic Purposes. My project aims to fill this research gap. I applied a case study strategy, where three groups of students attending a course Academic reading and writing for teacher candidates were examined. This paper demonstrates how the wiki software was employed in the course to encourage teacher candidates to proof-read and edit their own and others’ texts in order to be more accurate in academic writing. The present case study applied several research methods, including analysis of the texts written by students on the wiki and chat-room comments, an interview with the teacher of examined groups and a student questionnaire. The analysis of peer revisions was carefully conducted with a particular focus on: the variations in the way that students corrected each others’ texts, types of revised language issues, and the extent to which the teacher candidates were correcting accurately. My findings show that the students paid close attention to sentence structure (e.g. clauses, punctuation), fixing sentence problems (e.g. parallelism, choppy and stringy sentences), inflection and academic style. It is noteworthy that most of these languages issues were discussed in class. Considerably less attention was given by students to questions like paragraph structure and content. The accuracy of students’ revisions varied depending on the type of corrected language issue. The general impression of employing the wiki in this course was favourable. Many of the teacher candidates admitted that they would like to utilize the wiki tool in their future teaching courses.
