This search adorniano the assumption of the conversion training and training in a semimyth. The semi-training of becoming widespread hid the experience, masking it under the poverty of identification with their time, but nothing other than the subject, a young man, but where is the old time. This is also a form of barbarism, because by denying the negative experience is also the possibility of establishing itself. We adopted the methods of ontology of this brake to point the ways with which we want to be governed. This attitude of government, the experience, momentum is the appearance of ephemeral, is artistic and poetic ability to emerge from what escapes the reflection, leaving something that appears not yet exist. Go with Lyotard, that the possibility of truth within the aesthetic would be superior to their own philosophical reflection, precisely by affinity and the aesthetic keeping with the uniqueness of the experience in the subject, marked the attitude of living life itself, to draw the authentic experience of mine, as a means to not give the performance and the spectacle that is becoming the training.

A dialética da composição musical em Theodor W. Adorno / The dialectics of musical composition in Theodor W. AdornoIgor Baggio 06 April 2015 (has links)
The Frankfurtian philosopher Theodor W. Adorno occupied a key position in the debates of the musical avant-garde over approximately forty years, between 1924 and 1964. His essays and musical monographies produced during this period are the most complex and profound philosophical reflections available on the destinies of musical composition during the twentieth-century. A reflection that privileging compositional practice as its starting point was largely absorbed and helped to drive the whole movement of New Music. This doctoral thesis makes an interpretation of Adornos musical thought starting from this fundamental premise which states the rooting of his philosophical reflection on questions regarding the compositional practice of radical music. Its main objective is to clarify how Adorno conceived along his work the immanent dialectical categories of musical form in their mutual determination with the aesthetic appearance statute of musical works.

O rebaixamento da negatividade da arte: Um estudo sobre a instrumentalização do teatro na educação / The lowering of the negativity of art: a study of transforming theater into an instrument of educationYonara Dantas de Oliveira 03 May 2010 (has links)
This study is about the insertion of theater in the educational field, and it considers the crossing through of theater by the school, as well as the movements that permeate the history of theater. Based on the critical theory of society developed by Theodor Wiesengrund Adorno, it is understood that theater itself, as an artistic expression, is a way of knowledge. The works of art condense both the contradictions and the antagonism as antitheses of society as problems of their inner shape through their character of negativity, which reinforces art as criticism pertaining to the social reality. From that perception, it was explained how theater relates to the other school contents. To do so, four academic papers about theater and education were selected among the theses and dissertations done at Universidade de São Paulo after the new National Education Bases and Guidelines Law was in force (the law has been ruling since 1996) and the National Curriculum Parameters were implemented (1998). Both Theodor W. Adorno´s thoughts and the discussions in the selected papers help to understand the object of the present study, in an analysis of the relation of theater to education, which searches the way theater is lowered in its potential of contact with reality and criticism of it inside such relation. From the analyses of the four selected papers it is possible to infer that theater has been transformed into an instrument of education, for the teaching activities of theater have met the education of the ruling order

A teoria crítica e Max Weber / Critical theory and Max WeberCaio Eduardo Teixeira Vasconcellos 04 September 2014 (has links)
The main aim of this research is to study the relationship between the authors of the first generation of critical theory - Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno and Herbert Marcuse - with the sociology of Max Weber. Usually, they are analyzed in order to highlight their similarities and their continuities. However, to reconstruct the way in which these frankfurtians incorporated certain Weberian theme, is also necessary to highlight their differences and their breaks not only the frankfurtians with Weber, but even among themselves. More than a simple conceptual transposition, critical to the thought of Weber ownership is still an axis around which to interpret particular aspects of social theory Horkheimer, Adorno and Marcuse

This dissertation explores how Adorno proceeds in his literary criticism in the essays collected under the title Notes to literature. Initially we discuss the peculiar situation that the author and his essays occupy in the literary theory scenario, particularly regarding the question of method. In this sense, we try to show what it means to proceed "methodically without method" as it is announced in the end of "the Essay as form" as a kind of modus operandi of Adorno¿s essays. Secondly we tie such proceeding to the immanent reading model developed in the texts "Lecture on lyrical and society" and "Parataxis". Finally, we discuss the importance of literature and criticism made by Marcel Proust and Paul Valéry to Adorno¿s thought, more specifically on his notion of experience / Doutorado / Teoria e Critica Literaria / Doutor em Teoria e História Literária

Adorno. Une construction moderne / The critique of subjectivity and its figures by T. W. Adorno. A modern constructionGayraud, Agnès Marie 03 December 2010 (has links)
This thesis proceeds both genetically and architectonically to present Adorno’s critique of subjectivity and its figures. It relies upon a wide array of Adornian texts, ranging from the mid 1920s to the late 1960s. Adorno’s critique highlights the inescapable reification of subjectivity’s figures, which he understands as both incarnations of subjectivity (from the philosophical subject to the social individual) and products of subjectivity (works of art and culture, the idealist system and society itself). We defend that their critique, borrowing to aesthetic, sociological, and philosophical approaches, is elaborated by the philosopher as a very construction. This “construction” is built to resist an obsolete, unreflective idealism, which, in his view, threatens the arts, philosophy, and the individual with liquidation; it proceeds from subjective immanence as the problematic core of idealism, which oppressive circle it can only break through in following the demand for the expression of suffering, which gives it its critical dynamic. Through close attention to Adorno’s exposition, this work aims at restoring the functional unity of his critical models (aesthetic critique, critical theory, and negativity), which neither dissolve into fragments nor can be brought together in an inverted idealist process; it rather presents Adorno’s construction as a whole of dynamic, modular units, by means of which subjectivity both refrains and frees itself, by confronting its own laws to the material reality of the world.

Schelling and Adorno are two thinkers from different periods who are critical of the modern scientific approach towards nature, which they deem disruptive. Schelling’s orientation is mainly towards the epistemological, while Adorno’s is also political. Both seek to find a path of the subject’s reconciliation with nature through aesthetics. Via Schelling’s works First Outline of a System of the Philosophy of Nature and System of Transcendental Idealism as well as Adorno’s Dialectic of Enlightenment and Aesthetic theory, this paper emphasizes similarities and differences in their respective ideas on the art-nature relationship. Schelling’s idealistic-practical philosophy centers around the synthetization of nature and freedom, which culminates in the artwork while Adorno rather focuses on subjectivity’s dominance of nature and self and how aesthetics could reform subjectivity into something less harmful, which too would be a step towards freedom. The essay argues that the two thinkers complement each other in certain aspects and that their affinities are more than what appears at a first glance.

Adornos giv : Konstruktiva element i konstellationsbegreppet / Adorno’s Deal : The Constellation’s Constructive ElementsHallén, Lo January 2023 (has links)
This paper explores aspects of Theodor W. Adorno’s concept of constellation, as presented in Negative dialectics, to show its potential as a method for addressing practical, political issues. While this can seem to contradict Adorno’s negative dialectics with its insistence on criticism rather than constructive proposals, the author seeks to develop the argumentation in line with Adorno’s critical theory. The essay moves through the background and aspects of the constellation, highlighting influences from Hegel and Benjamin, before discussing its constructive elements, with parallels to Adorno’s understanding of the relationship between theory and praxis. A reconstruction of Adorno’s use of the constellation in the lecture ”Aspects of the New Right-Wing Extremism”, acts as a structure for the final argumentation. The aim is to present an idea of the potential the constellation holds as a theoretical means for practical change that does not sustain status quo.

[pt] O SUBLIME E A MÚSICA EM ADORNO / [en] SUBLIME AND MUSIC IN ADORNO S THOUGHTHARRISON SILVEIRA 27 March 2017 (has links)
[pt] O presente texto propõe verificar o sublime e a música em Adorno. Para tanto, três objetivos centrais serão seguidos. O primeiro visa verificar o surgimento do sublime. / [en] This dissertation focuses on Adorno s treatment of the music phenomenon under aesthetic s category of the sublime. To do so, we will follow three main goals. The first one deals with the debate of the sublime in Philosophy. Its beginning as an object of philosophical enquiry since Do Sublime Treaty, attributed to Longinus, appeared for the first time in history. It s enduring echos in France through its French translation by Boileau, as well its reception and repercussions in the eighteenthcentury England with Burke s Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of our Ideas of the Sublime and the Beuatiful. Kant s sublime will be analyzed shortly afterwards, in order to deal with Adorno s considerations on the sublime and the avantgard movements. Our attention will be focused on the enigmatic element which was analyzed by Adorno in some artworks, especially those of the New Music stream. Our second goal is about the discussion of the Adornian concepts of New Music. Our aim here is to decide whether these concepts as presented by Adorno, can still be of any use to understand as well as to call music sublime. At the same time it will be analyzed the strong bounds and developments that can t be avoid to be grasped between this new kind of radical musical proposal so called by him as, the sphere of non standardized music, thus drawing a parallel with the standardized music sphere. This will lead us to hypothesize that New Music, as observed by Adorno, is deeply bound up with the Burke s ideas about the sublime, notably seen by means of the music compositions on the expressionism period, as well to Kant s mathematically sublime through the immeasurable possibilities of music compositions brought by the dodecaphonic and serial techniques. As a result, it will be seen by Adorno as a great enigma, a riddle, a puzzle, due to its mystery nature which never allows to be entirely signified. On our final goal we intend to examine the regression of listening as the main after effect of the Culture Industry on music by means of the Fetish-Character, which is directly responsible for a turnaround of artworks into commodities whose only fate will be to serve as goods, thus being consumed by the majority. Paradoxically Adorno s voice of doom about the regression of listening in our modern society can be hypothesized today as a new path for western music. The full usage of the noise which was the one of the mainly results of the dissonance s freedom promoted by the same Second Viennese School which Adorno was a zealous believer, a new tool for the contemporary music composition was devised. By turning the noises into a new compositional tool through the serialism technique, the post modern music has arrived. Our conclusions attempts to centralize around the main question of the aesthetic s category of the sublime in music. By its analysis, as well as its interpretation and its knowledgement, it can lead us the way to approach and elucidate Adorno s treatment of certain music artworks as belonging to the sublime realm. We truly hope to have provided with this research a reliable contribution to music critique not only those belonging to the realm of New Music but, to all the new music artworks, that follow its streams throughtout the XX century and beyond.
