Movimento estudantil e repressão judicial: o regime militar e a criminalização dos estudantes brasileiros (1964-1979) / Student movement and the performance of the accusation and the defense in the judgments: the military regime and the ciminalization of the Brazilian students (1964-1979)

Gusson, Claudia Maria 02 April 2008 (has links)
From 1964 until 1985, when Brazil remained under military control, political prisoners were detained by government to be sued and convicted. The student movement, during the military regime had great representation in the political struggles and became an important opposition against the military regime that took power in April 1964. This research intends to present the profile of the students sued for the military regime and how was the performance of the accusation and the defense in the judgments. This research is based mainly on the military court proceedings of actual trials, which were secretly photocopied by lawyers associated with the Catholic Church and analyzed by a team of researchers, the daring Project known as \"Brazil: Never Again\" (BNM). The project turned out public duplicate archives containing complete record of Brazils military courts. This was achieved by bringing together the most of official legal proceedings of practically the political cases tried in Brazilian military courts between April 1964 and March 1979, specifically those that reached the Supreme Military Court. The analysis of legal proceedings demonstrated that, according to the Public Military Ministrys point of view, the sued student was subversive and allied the leftist organizations to the resistance to that regime. On the other hand, the lawyer for the defense saw the student was a victim of its proper weakness. Depending on the performance of the accusation and the defense, the student could be judged either subversive or a citizen capable to live integrated in useful way in the society.

Mengue Nguema, Nadine Fludore 15 December 2012 (has links)
That thesis would like to refuse the dogmatic version of the Bible, about Judas, andinvites to another way, more dynamic. How Romanesque literature writes againstthis figure, beyond reductions and Manichaeism? Does-it proposed another version?A comparison between Auguy Makey and Jacques Duquesne attests that arehabilitation of that figure is working. But the divergence of these authors is abouttheir interpretation of Judas’ treatise. Faust myth with the first writer, and Oedipalwith the second, Judas appears as a complexly figure, beyond the violence of uniquemeaning, calling a new description, a deep mutation through an important language’sutopia, where melancholia and enjoying are revisited both, with a stochastic writing,by antinomies, silences and suspensions

Erring Knights of Desire: The Romance in Santa Teresa's Libro de la vida and Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene

Stanfill, Emily Marie 30 August 2007 (has links)
This study explores how romance opens the texts of two sixteenth-century authors. The first is the autobiography, Libro de la vida, of Spanish nun, mystic, and reformer, Santa Teresa de Jésus. Amidst the narrative of her life and her instructions on how to better live the mystical life, Teresa uses the mode of romance to construct herself and God in complicated and often conflicting roles: she the wandering (sinning) knight-errant who quests towards the ideal lady, Christ; she the walled garden into which her lover enters for fleeting moments of bliss; she the passive feminine recipient of God's forceful loves; she her own black knight, her own dark forest, through which she must fight to reach the throne of the Beloved. Reading Teresa in this light underscores the ways in which she deconstructs the sublimating, transcending, and bodiless love historically directed towards the God of the Western tradition to reveal a love fraught with mutability and painful separation. As God absents himself from her, mourning assails her and causes her to wish for death, the only bower that promises perfect proximity. In this conflicted realm of mortality in which she longs for death but must continue to live, Teresa moves past her desire into a space for faith. In the second text, Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene, Spenser uses the capaciousness of the romance genre to express his desires for certain political, economical, and spiritual ends by constructing the Faerie Queene as a representative of Elizabeth I who in turn represents the potential for the realization of these hoped for ideals. The study focuses on one particular interchange between the Faerie Queene and the culturally-loaded icon of Arthur, and how Spenser imbues this moment with ambiguity, both posturing Arthur as the Queene's lover and her progenitor. The magical space of romance thus allows Spenser to simultaneously criticize, encourage, and praise Elizabeth, despite the inevitability that she will disappoint him. Despite disappointment, Spenser continues to strive for the temporal perfection of England, which ultimately leads him to an unyielding hope for the perfection of the immutable kingdom of heaven.

NEVER AGAIN THESSALONIKI – AUSCHWITZ : THE FIRST MEMORY WALK FOR THE JEWS OF SALONICA AND THE REACTIONS OF THE LOCAL PRESS. : A CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS (CDA) AND REFLECTION.

Gleoudi, Georgia January 2018 (has links)
The end of the Second World War found the city of Thessaloniki devastated by the loss of nearly its total Jewish population in the concentration camps of the Third Reich. A few survivals return to their city just to realize that their fortunes have been confiscated either by the local authorities or by their Christian neighbors. Some Jews decide to leave their former homeland and some others take the decision to remain and start their life from scratch. For the following decades, the Jewish history of the city is being carefully and on purpose hidden and the collective memory erases the traces of Jews. In this part of the story, the Jews by themselves kept a low public profile and remained silent, struggling to survive and rebuild their fortunes. It was in 2013, when a heterogeneous group of people decided to launch the Memory Walk “Never Again” for the 50.000 Jews of Thessaloniki who lost their lives in the Shoa (Holocaust). The Memory walk had to deal with the barriers of the strong nationalistic profile of the city and of its local population. However, the Memory walk came to be established as an institution which exists and grows until today. The current paper examines how local digital media approached the first Memory walk taking into consideration the Jewish history, the stereotypes regarding Jews, the antisemitism and the strong nationalist and deeply religious profile of the city. The first part describes the Jewish presence in Thessaloniki under the Ottoman Empire, the consequences of the Hellenization of the city in 1912, the national identity formation process and the mobilizing role of the Orthodox Church in the political and cultural homogenization. In the second part, digital media articles related to the first Memory Walk are being analyzed according to the CDA (critical discourse analysis) and a critical reflection on how media approached the Memory walk is finally presented. The analysis results will be finalized with the conclusions which derive from in person interviews with key stakeholders of the Memory Walk.

Ar juridis asmuo gali būti nusikalstamų veikų žmogaus seksualinio apsisprendimo laisvei ir neliečiamumui vykdytojas? / Can legal person be principal of criminal acts against freedom of human sexual self-determination and inviolability?

Navickaitė, Simona 08 August 2008 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / One of the latest tendencies in international criminal law is legitimation of corporate criminal liability. Validation of corporate criminal liability in Lithuanian criminal code is one of the essential aspects of criminal law reform. Legitimation of corporate criminal liability is associated with international covenants and eurointegration. While implementing the Acts of European Union in 2006 under Lithuanian Criminal Code juridical person can be held liable for such criminal acts as rape, sexual abuse and other criminal acts in section XXI of Lithuanian criminal code (Crimes and misdemeanors against freedom of human sexual self-determination and inviolability). Legal person can be held liable for these crimes only in cases when the victim is a person under aged. The object of this work is liability of legal person for criminal acts against freedom of human sexual self-determination and inviolability The aim of this work is to evaluate the possibility of legal person to be the principal of criminal acts against freedom of human sexual self-determination and inviolability, considering particularities of these criminal acts and peculiarities of corporate criminal liability in Republic of Lithuania.
