Esse tema se mostra relevante diante da posição assumida pelo Governo Federal na instituição do Programa Nacional de Produção e Uso de Biodiesel (PNPB), qual seja, a de utilizá-lo para promover a inclusão social da agricultura familiar ao agronegócio brasileiro. Essa decisão poderá suprimir a importância da energia renovável como alternativa ao combustível fóssil e, mesmo da política agrícola voltada à agricultura familiar. Assim sendo, a análise empreendida neste estudo se concentrou numa análise histórico-analítica do PNPB, destacando o processo de inserção da Região Nordeste ao programa, a organização do setor agrícola familiar e a infra-estrutura de produção industrial do biodiesel. Os resultados alcançados por este trabalho apontam para um cenário pessimista quanto à inserção desses agricultores ao agronegócio brasileiro do biodiesel, bem como pelo descaso verificado no âmbito do PNPB quanto ao setor agrícola como um todo, particularmente em termos da agricultura familiar nordestina / Abstract: The goal of this research is to investigate the organization of production of biodiesel in Northeast Region of Brazil with base in the familiar farm. This subject is relevant before of attitude assumed by Brazilian Govern in found of National Program of Production and Use of Biodiesel (PNPB), which one, it use him to promote the social inclusion of familiar farm in Brazilian Agribusiness. That one it can lead to the distortion of importation of renovating energy as alternative at fossil fuel and agricultural political to familiar farm too. Thus, the analysis it undertaken in this research centered in a analysis historical analytic of Brazilian Program of Biodiesel, with emphasis in the process of insertion of Northeast Region in program, in the organization of sector familiar agricultural and the infra-structure of industrial production of biodiesel. The results this research indicated for pessimist stage for that inserting these familiar farms in Brazilian agribusiness, and too by negligence evidenced in the implementation of program of biodiesel for with Brazilian sector agricultural, especially to northeast familiar farm / Mestrado / Economia Agricola e Agraria / Mestre em Desenvolvimento Econômico
